Lykke Li covers Drake at London show

Lykke Li covered Drake at her sold out London show on Thursday (13.11.14).
The 28-year-old singer performed a mystical set at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, which included a heartbreaking rendition of Canadian rapper Drake's 2013 single 'Hold On, We're Going Home'.
The Swedish singer/songwriter played an extensive set of melancholy tracks from her third studio album 'Never Learn', including 'Sadness Is A Blessing', 'Never Gonna Love Again' and 'Sleeping Alone'.
Lykke released the album, which is drenched in misery, earlier this year, drawing inspiration from her split from her boyfriend which spurred a move from Europe to Los Angeles.
Despite the wallowing nature of her music, the enigmatic singer - who recently launched her own clothing range - was anything but motionless when performing the emotive tracks, treating the audience to energetic, wild dance moves, resulting in a brilliantly captivating show.
Performing at the packed out venue, Lykke appeared comfortable on stage, but in an interview with InStyle last month, she revealed that touring isn't something she's a particular fan of due to the relentless and repetitive nature of life on the road.
She said: "It's pretty rough to be on tour for years straight and not have a home and not have anywhere to rest. It creates a restlessness inside of you. It wears you out."

Lykke Li's setlist:
Never Learn
Sadness Is A Blessing
Just Like A Dream
Wicked
Silent My Song
Hold On, We're Going Home
Little Bit
Sleeping Alone
Gunshot
I Follow Rivers
Never Gonna Love
Rich Kids
Get Some
Love Me Like I'm Not Made Of Stone
Heart Of Steel

Rumer praises ‘natural star’ Taylor Swift

Rumer is a big fan of Taylor Swift, describing her as a "natural star".
The 35-year-old singer/songwriter - who returned to music this week with third studio album 'Into Colour', which she co-produced with fiancé Rob Shirakbari - is a big admirer of the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker and considers her one of the most "talented" artists around.
In an interview with website Entertainmentwise.com, Rumer said: "I think Taylor Swift is really talented. She can play guitar and she is a really good songwriter."
"I think you have to work extremely hard and make a lot of sacrifices to be Taylor Swift. I think she's one of these young people that are born to be a star. She knows how to play the role of a star, she's a natural."
Although Rumer admires Taylor she is not impressed by celebrity culture, but hopes most people are intelligent enough to not take it seriously.
She added: "Celebrity culture shouldn't be too influential in society especially with the younger generation. It's all good fun to numb your brain with some stupid vain people on television sometimes. It's an escapist kind of thing. I just think they shouldn't be role models."
Rumer has had a two-and-a-half-year break from music, but now she's back in the charts she's decided to postpone her wedding plans to Rob.
She said:"Luckily, I have a partner who is with me on the road and is my co-producer, my co-writer ... so we're kind of in the same project together, doing everything together."

Michelle MacLaren lined up to direct Wonder Woman

Michelle MacLaren is in talks with Warner Bros. to direct the studio's first standalone 'Wonder Woman' movie.
The Canadian producer is best known for her work on the popular drama series 'Breaking Bad', which has become a worldwide hit, and she's now being lined up to helm the much-anticipated new film about the iconic superhero.
The award-winning director - who's also worked on other popular shows, including 'The Walking Dead' and HBO series 'Game of Thrones' - is thought to be the studio's preferred choice, although the studio says it "is not married to the idea of a female director" for the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Warner Bros. are also thought to have held discussions with Jennifer Kent, who directed 'The Babadook', and Lesli Linka Glatter of 'Homeland', but those talks are not thought to have related to 'Wonder Woman' specifically.
The character, played by Gal Gadot, will next appear on cinema screens in the eagerly-awaited 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', which will also feature Hollywood heavyweights like Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.
The film is set for release in 2016, while 'Wonder Woman' will be released on June 23, 2017.

Jennifer Aniston loves playing vulgar character

Jennifer Aniston loves playing potty-mouthed dentist Dr. Julia Harris in 'Horrible Bosses 2'.
The 45-year-old actress's on-screen character in the film franchise is particularly vulgar and Jennifer admits she revels in playing someone whose personality is so far removed from her everyday self.
Speaking at the London press conference to promote the new comedy - which also stars Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman - the former 'Friends' star reflected: "In language, this character is as far away from me as I've ever got. I mean, 'Suck it like a bombpop down to the blue,' is not something that normally comes trickling off my tongue."
To which co-star Jason Sudeikis responded: "That should be a Nicki Minaj song! You put a beat under that and little girls will be dancing to it. In the car they'd be saying, 'Daddy, put on suck it like a bombpop.' And then in parenthesis, 'Down to the blue.'"
Picking up on the theme, Jennifer said: "That's going to happen Jason, and you should get something for that."
'Horrible Bosses 2', the sequel to the 2011 hit film, also features Jamie Foxx, Chris Pine and Kevin Spacey.

Dan Osborne strips off for charity

Dan Osborne has stripped off for charity.
'The Only Way Is Essex' star posed in nothing but a pair of white boxer shorts on The Sun's Page 3 today (14.11.14) in aid of the paper's Feel 'em Friday initiative to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
Dan teamed up with The Movember Foundation to promote the cause which aims to encourage men to check themselves for signs of cancer, and confessed he was "shocked" by statistics relating to the disease.
He also admitted he's preparing to tell his 10-month-old son Teddy to do the same as soon as he is old enough.
The 23-year-old hunk - who is expecting his second child with his 'EastEnders' star girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa - said: "Men often don't think enough about our health - and we need to start. The statistics are shocking, and the only way to change them is to get blokes checking themselves, and going to the doctor if they find anything.
"As soon as you have a kid your whole perspective on life changes. You know you need to be there to care for your child - so you have to start looking after your health. And of course, when Teddy's older I'll speak to him about how important it is for him to check himself."
The reality TV star was joined in promoting the campaign by West Ham United football team who stripped off for the launch of the 'Feel 'em Friday' initiative on November 7.

Adam Rothenberg sabotaged auditions

Adam Rothenberg sabotaged auditions when he found out 'Ripper Street' might be returning.
The American-born star admits he was so keen to reprise the role of Captain Homer Jackson that he ruined his chances of getting other jobs after hearing there was a chance it could be brought back for a third series even though it had been axed by the BBC.
Speaking about finding out video streaming service Amazon Prime were interested, he said: "It was very sneaky and very below the table. I would get a call from [writer and creator] Richard [Warlow] saying, 'Just so you know, I wouldn't make any plans'.
"Meanwhile, I was in LA trying to sell myself because I was unemployed. It was a really awkward month of going into work and sabotaging auditions. It was very weird. It was a very weird month."
And although Adam's co-stars, Charlene McKenna (Rose Erskine) and Jerome Flynn (Sergeant Bennett Drake), claim they always felt it could return because of the outcry from fans after it was cancelled, he insists he thought it was over for good.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Oh no it felt like the end. Just because it seemed so obvious that something that was so enjoyable ... I was pessimistic that way. I just figured. So actually, I was really surprised when it came back.
The 39-year-old actor added: "I mean I believe what I'm told so when somebody says it's cancelled, I'm like, 'It's definitely gone'."
Series 3 of 'Ripper Street' is available to watch exclusively on Amazon Prime Instant Video from Friday November 14.

Peter Capaldi has ‘rescued’ Doctor Who

Steven Moffat thinks Peter Capaldi has saved 'Doctor Who'.
The 56-year-old actor was cast as the 12th incarnation of the titular Time Lord earlier this year and showrunner Steven claims his quirkiness has saved the sci-fi series from becoming predictable.
He said: "A show dies when it's reliable like a pair of old slippers - if any reviewer says that about a show, that show is gone within a year.
"Shows die when people say: 'Oh, it's quite good. I quite like it.' And the 'new show' is old now, so this had to be a reinvention.
"This has been different and designed to make you go, 'I don't trust him yet, I don't know what he's like - what's he going to do next?' It's exciting and makes the show new again."
The 52-year-old writer and producer also claimed he's not worried whether people like Capaldi or not, as they're still tuning into the BBC One show.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he explained: "If people say: 'I'm appalled by the new Doctor!' I say, 'Yeah, yeah, and you're watching it every week.'"
Steven also insisted viewing figures can be misleading, explaining: "Indisputably, without doubt, exactly the same number of people watch Doctor Who now as they ever did.
"There is no drop off in the ratings but the way people watch it has changed.
"They watch it on catch-up to a far higher degree. In the time I have been doing 'Doctor Who' the number of people who watch it on iPlayer has trebled."

Britney Spears introduces boyfriend to sons

Britney Spears has already introduced Charlie Ebersol to her sons.
The 'Perfume' hitmaker, who recently started dating the TV producer and director, decided to let him meet her children, Sean, nine, and Jayden, eight, after her parents gave her new beau their stamp of approval and he won over her entire family.
An insider said: "They are very excited that she is dating Charlie. He does well financially and is very private. They don't have to worry about whether he is using Britney.
"He is driven, smart and ambitious."
The 32-year-old star split from legal researcher David Lucado in August amid rumours he cheated on her and despite being smitten with Charlie, 31, she is determined to take their relationship slowly.
The source added to PEOPLE magazine: "It's new. They've been spending time together and taking it slowly.
"Britney was very emotional after splitting with David. She trusted him and was very hurt when he cheated on her."
But it appears their romance is already heating up, as since news of their relationship went public, Britney has shared several pictures of herself with Charlie on Instagram and recently admitted she has "someone special" in her life.
Last week, she said: "Yes there is a special someone. It's very new."
The insider added: "She has been in the best mood. She finds him cute and funny. She loves having someone to share her life with."

Brooke Shields regrets Andre Agassi marriage

Brooke Shields instantly regretted marrying Andre Agassi.
The 49-year-old actress, who split from the tennis ace in 1999 after two years of marriage, admits she always had doubts about their relationship and knew she "had made a mistake" the day after their wedding.
Writing in her new memoir, 'There Was a Little Girl,' the brunette beauty revealed: "It hit me all of a sudden - I knew I had made a mistake. For the next two years we saw very little of each other. I was working on my show, 'Suddenly Susan,' and he was playing at various tournaments. He alienated me when he lost and was on to the next tournament after he won. We were drifting apart."
The former couple, who have both since remarried and gone on to have children, decided to split after Brooke said she wasn't happy and Andre confessed he had been "addicted to crystal meth" since they started dating in 1993, but she insists she wanted to work things out.
In an extract obtained by PEOPLE magazine, she wrote: "I was the one who had supported him unconditionally when he told me [after we started dating] that he was basically bald and had been wearing hairpieces most of his adult life. Why would this have been any different? I would have been his biggest advocate and supporter."
Brooke also claims Andre "stormed off" the set of 'Friends' when she played a crazed fan obsessed with Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc, and smashed all of his trophies at their home in Las Vegas.
She wrote: "He said I made him look like a fool by licking Joey's fingers and he got in his car and drove all the way back to Vegas."
