FKA Twigs doesn’t care if people don’t like her music

FKA Twigs doesn't care if people don't like her music.
The 'Two Weeks' hitmaker - whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett - claims she can handle being criticised for her image or her music on social media but refuses to accept being abused because of the colour of her skin.
The 26-year-old beauty - who is of English, Spanish and Jamaican descent - admitted: "Obviously I know if you're putting yourself out there saying, 'Hey! Listen to my music!', with pictures of yourself in the magazines, then people are going to judge you.
"'I hate her music. I hate her hair. I hate her production. I hate her videos'. Fine: don't care. That's the great thing about art, it's not for everyone. But when it comes to racism, really? In this day and age? Pick that?"
Tahlia also confessed that despite having bagged herself a superstar boyfriend in 'Twilight' actor Robert Pattison, she's wary of becoming complacent.
She explained to the Observer newspaper: "Oh, I'm nothing. I'm nothing right now. I think it's easy to sit in this trendy café, in a trendy little area of New York, and say, 'Ooh, I'm FKA Twigs'. But outside of these four blocks, does anybody really give a s**t? Probably not."
The 'Water Me' singer added: "I'm appealing to people who want something different. But the world, on the whole, doesn't really embrace different things. Not on the whole."

Thandie Newton: Nuns thought my hair was ‘ghetto’

Thandie Newton was told her hair was too "ghetto" for her school photograph.
The 'Mission: Impossible II' star inherited afro-curly hair from her Nigerian mother and she's recalled how the nuns who ran her school in Cornwall singled her out for looking different.
She said: "My mum braided my hair - for her it was the neatest, prettiest style, the equivalent of having your hair freshly cut and styled.
"I went to the best school in town, which was run by nuns, and they wouldn't let me have my photo taken because of my hair.
"I think they thought it was a bit 'ghetto', though we didn't really know what that meant. It was absolutely not 'ghetto'. The next day my mum went into the school. I don't know what was said, but I had my photo taken."
Although the 42-year-old beauty has now grown to love her natural curls, she admits she began chemically straightening it as soon as she was old enough and continued to do so for many years because people preferred it.
Thandie explained to The Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "There were layers and layers of low self-esteem attached to these early experiences, and I continued to have very low self-esteem for years.
"So as soon as I could I had my hair professionally 'relaxed' with chemicals to make it 'normal', and it stayed straight until only a few years ago. It was how Hollywood wanted my hair too."

Angelina Jolie: I know Brad Pitt ‘intimately and emotionally’

Angelina Jolie knows Brad Pitt "intimately and emotionally".
The 39-year-old star is currently promoting the release of 'Unknown' - the second film she's directed - and she's confessed the message within it is dedicated to her love for her husband and their sons.
Speaking about how making an epic war film is unusual for a woman, she said: "I don't feel it's a woman's touch as much as it's how a woman loves and respects men.
"And I look at this, and I see my son, and Brad, and it's me paying respect to the men I love, showing them I know them intimately and I know them emotionally.
"And they're not just cool to me when they're being tough. They're cool when they're able to be vulnerable to."
The 'Salt' actress also admitted she wants her children - Shiloh, Vivienne, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Knox - to watch the film and learn from it.
Referring to the story of American Olympic runner Louis Zamperini, who was beaten by Japanese guards for over two years as a soldier and prisoner during the Second World War, Angelina told The Sunday Times newspaper: "I wanted to show them something that's hard to watch in places, but in the end - without beating you over the head - you do, I hope, feel a bit more like, 'Well, maybe I can step up and be a better person, too'."

Mickey Rourke fight ‘was fixed’

The homeless boxer Mickey Rourke fought in Moscow, Russia allowed the actor to win.
The Oscar nominee and former fighter made a widely publicised appearance in the boxing ring on Friday (28.11.14), but the credibility of his win over Elliot Seymour, 29, has now been called into question.
A source close to the Seymour family explained: "It was clearly a fixed fight. The whole bouncing off the ropes, hands down, punches were not landing and they were intentionally hitting each other's gloves."
The insider said that fans of the 62-year-old former boxer have been mislead about his supposed success.
The source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "All these headlines Mickey Rourke beat someone half his age... yeah he did but you're not telling them the real story.
"The real story is he's homeless and desperate and he will probably go back to living on the streets when he gets back. People have no clue about that.
"Mickey Rourke has made his living as an actor, and if you expected his sanctioned boxing match today in Moscow against a 29-year-old to be totally legitimate then you've been watching too many movies."
The high-profile fight was ended when Mickey knocked out his opponent.

Nicki Minaj performs at birthday bash for Lil Wayne’s daughter

Nicki Minaj performed at the 16th birthday party of Lil Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter.
The 'Anaconda' star was the main attraction of the evening, as she belted out various tunes for the enthusiastic crowd in Atlanta on Saturday (29.11.14).
Nicki, 31, and Lil Wayne, 32, are good friends having enjoyed incredible career success working together on the Young Money record label and the curvaceous singer was happy to entertain Reginae, Wayne's only daughter, whom he had with reality star Toya Carter when he was just 15.
Among the presents Reginae was given for her birthday was a BMW, bought by her father, as well as a Ferrari, which was gifted by her mother.
Meanwhile, Nicki recently revealed how excited she is for the launch of her new album, 'The Pinkprint', which is set to be released this month.
She shared with E! News: "It really shows a lot of growth. I know that my fans are really going to appreciate the subject matter on a lot of the songs."
The hip-hop icon also revealed she suffers from shyness, despite her outward self-confidence.
She said: "I feel shy a lot of times actually. I just push myself to go for it."

She wrote on Twitter: "I love you Paul. Your living in the hearts of all who love you for sure. Sending mad love out to Heaven @SupportROWW (sic)"

Mitch Winehouse regrets arguing with Amy

Mitch Winehouse regrets arguing with his daughter Amy about her drug and alcohol abuse.
The 'Back to Black' singer died in 2011, aged 27, from alcohol poisoning, and her father now admits that he and Amy's mum Janis, 59, did not deal with her chaotic lifestyle in the healthiest way.
He reflected: "She couldn't talk to me about what she was going through.
"I just screamed and shouted at her. That's how I dealt with her problems. And that's obviously not a wise way to deal with it."
Since her death, however, Mitch has made a conscious decision to approach the situation in a positive manner.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I had to try to be positive - I didn't think I had a choice. It was either that or jump into bed and pull the duvet over my head.
"When you experience loss you don't have to do anything specific to remember them. They're with you all the time.
"We don't have to be in a particular place to have a little cry and a little laugh. Every day we're thinking about her. Everything we do is about her."
Mitch and his ex-wife set up The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which raises money to help young people affected by drug and alcohol misuse.

Sunetra Sarker eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing

Sunetra Sarker has been eliminated from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Casualty' actress and her professional partner Brendan Cole found themselves in the dance-off against Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer, and exited the reality show after the judges chose to save the former 'The Only Way is Essex' star.
Sunetra, 41, who was appearing in the dance-off for the third time, reflected: "It's been such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to do this.
'I'd like to thank Brendan for being just so committed and understanding, and such a natural dancer, this guy - you've been great - thank you so much for everything.
"I also want to say a thank you to every single one of the contestants and all the pro dancers for holding my hand so very tightly - love you all."
Brendan said: "You should be very proud of yourself to get this far - it's no mean feat.
"To reiterate, thanks to everyone that works on the show - it's the best show on television."
Their exit was confirmed after judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all chose to save Mark, 27, with Len Goodman saying he agreed with their decision.

Stereo Kicks eliminated from The X Factor

Stereo Kicks have become the latest act to be eliminated from 'The X Factor'.
The eight-strong group, featuring Barclay, Chris, Casey, Jake, James, Tom, Charlie and Reece, were voted off the show after battling against Lauren Platt in the sing-off.
Judge Louis Walsh opted to send home Lauren, while Mel B made the same decision.
By contrast, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini voted in Lauren's favour, meaning Simon Cowell had the deciding vote.
'The X Factor' boss took the vote to deadlock, at which point it was confirmed Stereo Kicks would be leaving the competition.
Louis later said: "It was awful. I really think everybody made a mistake.
"It's awful that they're gone. I think they had so much more potential."
However, Simon defended the decision, telling 'The Xtra Factor': "The sing-off is there for us to make the decision about who was best on the night.
"I didn't chicken out."
Simon added that he would have sent Lauren home but based on their performances, he decided to change his mind.
The show also featured performances from Union J and Ella Henderson, who sang 'You Got It All' and 'Yours' respectively.

Scott Disick ‘scared’ on return from rehab

Scott Disick found it "scary" returning home to Kourtney Kardashian after his stint in rehab.
The 'Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons' star sought professional care after almost overdosing on a mixture of alcohol and pills, and a new teaser to the show reveals just how anxious the 31-year-old hunk was about reuniting with Kourtney, who's pregnant with his third child.
The clip, posted by Kris Jenner, shows Scott saying: "Coming home is pretty unbelievable. It's pretty hard to know exactly where I stand with Kourtney.
"I definitely realise what's at stake. And it's all very scary to me."
In a clip released last week, the couple - who have been together for eight years and have two children, Penelope, two, and Mason, four - were seen in an intense argument, during which Scott claimed they "haven't slept together in five years".
During the argument, Kourtney, 35, explained: "I just think this is gonna be like a long road of figuring everything out."
Clearly upset by her reply, Scott said: "How much more space do you need?
"We haven't slept together in five years. What's the difference? Honestly, though. I mean, I love you, yeah, but..."

Kendra Wilkinson ‘is a naughty girl’

Kendra Wilkinson once filmed a lesbian sex tape.
The blonde beauty, who is currently appearing in the British reality TV show 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!', features in a 45-minute clip with Taryn Ryan and Kendra's friend Jessica Hall says the tape reflects her adventurous lifestyle.
She shared: "Kendra is a naughty girl, and when she filmed those tapes she was really living it up.
"She let loose, she had fun and she lived a life that she thought was every girl's fantasy. I don't remember a lot of things from back then."
Her friend of nine years said Kendra, 29 - who married former American footballer Hank Baskett in 2009 - is unconcerned by the public's perception of her.
Jessica explained to The Sun newspaper: "Everybody has a past, and she didn't choose to put these things out there. But she won't care what people say, she'll deal with it and move on."
Kendra's better known sex tape features her and her former boyfriend Justin Frye, which they made in 2005.
Speaking in 2010, around the time it was released, she reflected: "It just had to come out now when I finally cleaned up my life.
"It's extremely embarrassing. I am a very open person, I am very honest about my life, but a sex tape was definitely not what I wanted in my life."

Roger Daltrey gatecrashes wedding reception

Roger Daltrey gatecrashed a wedding and sang on stage.
The Who rock legend surprised guests at Susan and Carl Smith's wedding reception in Glasgow, Scotland, where he sang the band's first ever single, 'I Can't Explain'.
Roger, 70, asked the wedding band, Milestone, whether he could get up and sing for the couple - and when they obliged, Roger belted out the vocals to the 1965 hit, the Daily Record newspaper reports.
On their Facebook page, Milestone explained: "He popped in to wish the bride and groom well and was very nice about the band. In fact, he even wanted to do a song.
"As we don't really cover any Who songs we had to busk our way through a version of 'I Can't Explain.'"
Elsewhere, a wedding guest commented: "It was surreal to see one of rock 'n roll's biggest names of all time being a wedding a singer in a hotel.
"Everyone in the room went mental when he appeared, it was epic."
The Who - which also features guitarist Pete Townshend - are currently on their 50th anniversary tour, which will be their last ever series of major gigs.
