Annie Lennox performed a carol service at London's Abbey Road studios on Thursday (04.12.14).
The 59-year-old musician sang at the iconic studio as part of Amazon's revolutionary Carols by Kindlelight which was the first ever carol service delivered using Kindles.
Speaking about her performance, she said: "I had a fantastic time taking part in the Carols by Kindlelight concert at Abbey Road studios.
"It's always such a special experience to perform there as the building is so resonant with British recording history, so I'm sure that the magic of the evening will be transported beautifully to a global audience."
Presented by Steve Jones, lucky attendees to the one-off event also witnessed performances from classical vocal ensemble VOCES8, six time Platinum-selling New Zealand opera trio Sol3 Mio and million-selling soprano Laura Wright, who covered 'Let It Go' from the hit movie 'Frozen' at the event.
Talking about the idea of using kindles for the concert, she said: "When I heard about such a cool concept I immediately said yes,
"This is great way to make classical Christmas songs accessible to people around the world. It was beautiful to look out from the stage and see the sea of faces illuminated as they e-read the carols."
World renowned tenor Alfie Boe was also at the event, where he sang 'Hark! the Herald Angels Sing' and a cover of the Elton John classic 'Step Into Christmas', while chart-topping Imelda May performed the festive classic 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)'.

Rod Stewart ‘digs’ David Aldo

David Aldo says Rod Stewart is a big fan.
The singer - who has had six number one singles in South Africa - claims the 69-year-old music icon is a huge fan and even invites him over to perform at his home in Los Angeles.
He revealed: "Rod Stewart has me sing at his home on occasions too. He digs my style and coming from a music legend like him, is a big compliment for me."
The singing sensation - who is quickly gaining attention outside of his native South Africa - now lives in Los Angeles and admitted he frequently comes into contact with famous fans that come to see him live.
He added: "It's nice to be appreciated and respected by successful people in the entertainment industry. I guess it validates me in some way. I'm more excited when I see big stars that have been around for a long time, like Oprah, or Tom Cruise than some of the newer ones.
"I like it when Sylvester Stallone comes to me and chats when he's in my audience. Like most kids the 'Rocky' movies made a big impact on me."
Aldo - whose single 'Just You' is out now - also recalled one moment in particular when he was shocked to be approached by 'Total Recall' actor Colin Farrell who said the late actress Elizabeth Taylor loved his music.
He explained: "I'm not usually a star struck kind of guy and truly believe that we are all equals on this earth, although Elizabeth Taylor used to come to the Polo Lounge and watch me sing. I thought this was pretty cool, after all she is a huge Hollywood icon.
"Once she was with Colin Farrell and he pulled me aside and said she was a big fan of mine. That made me feel good."
David's debut UK album 'David Aldo' is released in February 2015. For more information visit: http://www.davidaldo.com

Dixie Carter wants TNA British Boot Camp 3

Dixie Carter wants to make a third series of 'TNA British Boot Camp'.
The president of the grappling company has been so thrilled with the response to the second series of the wrestling reality show - which has seen UK performers compete for a contract to work for the American promotion - she wants to bring it back again.
Speaking about her surprise at some of the wrestlers who didn't make the cut, Dixie said: "I made the decision this year to let the judges make the call, and so I supported them 100 percent I think that there's a few that didn't make it through who were very good, and I won't name names, but I hope there will be a season three and I'm very hopeful that they'll work hard and return next year because I definitely see some difference and talent that could have just as easily have deserved to be there."
Dixie and TNA will complete their search for the next British wrestling star this Sunday night (07.12.14) as 'British Boot Camp' concludes at 9pm on Challenge TV.
The competition is down to the final three and either Rampage Brown, Mark Andrews or female grappler Kay Lee Ray will land the prestigious contract.
Dixie insists the British fans are some of TNA's most loyal followers and she can't wait to repay them for their support when they tour the UK for TV tapings in Glasgow, Manchester and London in January 2015.
All six finalists - Rampage, Andrews, Kay Lee, Noam Dar, Dave Mastiff and Grado - will compete on the tour (www.gigsandtours.com) as well as a host of TNA Superstars, including Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy and Rockstar Spud.
She told BANG Showbiz: "From very early on, the UK has given us so much support and it's why we focus so much of our efforts Britain. I try very hard to pay it back to the fans. All six of the wrestlers from the show are going to be on the tour in January, that's their first commitment to us, and the winner is going to be highlighted."

Simon Cowell ‘goes clubbing with X Factor contestants’

Simon Cowell goes clubbing with contestants from 'The X Factor'.
The 55-year-old music mogul has returned to the judging panel - alongside Louis Walsh, 62, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, 31, and 39-year-old Mel B - for this year's show, and 'X Factor' hopeful Ben Haenow has praised Simon's hand-on approach to his over-25s category.
He said: "We see him all the time, go out clubbing with him."
Fellow semi-finalist Fleur East has also hailed Simon for his supportive attitude towards the contestants.
Fleur told 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man': "He'll speak to us through his team, so we'll constantly get messages at any time of the day, and he's always there at rehearsals and giving us tips.
"But to be fair, he's a really good mentor because he lets us do what we want to do and then just guides us."
Meanwhile, Andrea Faustini revealed former Spice Girl Mel B - his mentor in the boys category - has been incredibly supportive throughout the show and is markedly different to her Scary Spice persona.
He said: "She's not scary at all. I'm sorry, I love her.
"She looks after me, she's constantly in touch with me - on Skype, she texts me - she's very cool. Last week, I went to her house for celebrating Thanksgiving Day."

Sir Bruce Forsyth went ‘stale’ working on Strictly Come Dancing

Sir Bruce Forsyth felt "stale" towards the end of his time on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The legendary entertainer presented the show from 2004 to 2013, but has revealed he found the role of the main presenter to be "lonely" and is glad he no longer fronts the popular BBC programme.
Sir Bruce, 86, said: "I was beginning to maybe feel a little bit stale, and I'm glad I stopped."
'Strictly Come Dancing' is now presented by Claudia Winkleman, 42, and Sir Bruce's former co-host Tess Daly, who has subsequently assumed a more significant role on the show.
Speaking about 45-year-old Tess, Sir Bruce told 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man': "She is lovely, but of course she's taken over my spot in the show - all the talk about Claudia, Claudia taking my place - she wasn't. She was taking Tess' place, up in her penthouse suite where all the nonsense goes on.
"So [Tess has] taken over my job, and I said to her, 'That job in Strictly is quite a lonely job', because you're on and off all the time, up and down the stairs, introduce this and that, but you don't actually meet anybody on the show, you don't have a conversation with anybody on the show.
"It's a very lonely job to be the 'top host', shall we say, for want of a better word, to be on and off all the time - it's a much more difficult job, and you do feel lonely."

Simon Evans wants to host ‘intellectual’ panel show

Simon Evans wants his own 'intellectual' panel show.
The 49-year-old comedian - who previously starred on the BBC Two comedy series 'Mock The Week' and Dave's 'Dara Ó Briain: School of Hard Sums' - has confessed he would love to host his own television show but is hoping to get involved in something "more serious", with a "more civilised atmosphere".
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I have said that I would like to do something a little bit more serious than Mock the Week and that approach where it's all been prepared beforehand and the idea is to just have that machine gun rate that you go at.
"I always used to like those slightly more discursive ones, like a parlour game that you might play, like Pictionary... those games I kind of enjoyed, where it was more gentle, more civilised atmosphere."
'The Comedy Store' star - who recently released his 'Live At The Theatre Royal' DVD of his sold out show on the iconic Brighton stage - would cast some of his favourite comedians, including Dara O'Brien and Al Murray, on the show but would also like to invite journalists and politicians who could be both "funny and intelligent" enough to get involved.
He said: "There's some people you'll have heard of who I think are brilliant and I enjoy their company and talk to and get along with. Al Murray - the pub landlord, and Dara O'Brien. And others who I really enjoy but who are not so well known but who I think are very interesting.
"I would love to host a format in which there were some comedians but also some journalists and politicians and so on, or interesting, intelligent, intellectual people who could engage with one another and it would be funny but intelligent at the same time."
Simon added that he wouldn't have time for "rubbish" celebrity guests on his show.
He said: "No, no celebrities. Celebrities are rubbish. Don't want celebrities on there. It's a horrible word."
Although he would make an exception for his pal, fellow comedian Frankie Boyle.
He said: "But Frankie Boyle remains a friend, shall we call him a celebrity? He's funny."
Simon Evans - Live At The Theatre Royal is available now on DVD and Digital Download, released by Universal Pictures (UK).

Sir Roger Moore excited by return of Blofeld

Sir Roger Moore expects evil genius Ernst Stavro Blofeld to appear in 'SPECTRE'.
The 87-year-old actor - who starred in seven Bond films between 1973 and 1985, including 'The Spy Who Loved Me', 'Moonraker' and 'For Your Eyes Only' - expects to see the cat-loving, scarred super-villain return for the much-anticipated new movie, which is named after the fictional terrorist organisation Blofeld heads up.
Although it's not been officially confirmed, the 'SPECTRE' names suggests the iconic character will appear in the new movie - much to the delight of Sir Roger, who tweeted: "So Blofeld is back!"
Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz has been cast as Oberhauser in the new James Bond movie, but it's been widely speculated he could actually be portraying Blofeld.
Returning director Sam Mendes - who helmed the 2012 Bond film 'Skyfall' - hinted at the importance of the 58-year-old star's on-screen character at an event staged yesterday (04.12.14) at Pinewood Studios, South East England.
Sam, 49, introduced Christoph by saying: "The most important member [of the visiting cast], I think - an extraordinary actor - I could not be happier than to be having in this cast and joining us on this journey, Mr Christoph Waltz."

Adam Sevani finds dancing ‘as easy as a jump shot’

Adam Sevani doesn't get anxious about dancing because it's as easy as a "jump shot for a basketballer".
The 22-year-old actor, who plays the part of Robert 'Moose' Alexander in the 'Step Up' dance film series, claims he's been dancing so long that it's become second nature to him.
Asked whether he gets nervous about performing, Adam explained: "No, never. I've done it for so long that I don't even think about it. Kind of like a jump shot for a basketballer."
Adam - who made his first on-screen appearance in the 'Step Up' films in the 2008 flick 'Step Up 2: The Streets' - claimed the latest movie, 'Step Up: All In', is discernibly different to the 2010 film 'Step Up 3D'.
Quizzed on the similarities between the two films, Adam told BANG Showbiz: "Oh it's completely different, completely different. Different directors, it was a different vision. It was just like a completely different movie. I wouldn't even compare."
Adam also revealed he enjoyed filming the new movie in Canada and reuniting with members of the original 'Step Up' cast.
He said: "I love being in Canada. That's where we shot the majority of it, that was my favourite. I'm not too sure why I liked it so much. It was such a good place.
"It was a fun experience because I get to reunite with most of the original cast members. So, I think that's what made it really fun for me."
'Step Up: All In' is available on 3D, Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray and DVD now.

Abbey Road werewolf Paul McCartney

Sir Paul McCartney recreated The Beatles 'Abbey Road' album cover while dressed as a werewolf.
The 72-year-old musician passed by the world famous recording studio in London while returning home after a Halloween party in October and couldn't resist asking his wife Nancy Shevell to photograph him stood on the pedestrian crossing just like he and the rest of The Fab Four did for their classic 1969 LP.
And Paul boasts his monster mask was "so brilliant it scared a couple" of my grandkids".
In an interview on BBC Radio 2, he revealed: "There's no way you'd know it was me, and coming back from the party, we crossed the crossing and so I said, 'You've gotta stop.'
"So I did a picture of me in this werewolf outfit crossing the zebra crossing. Of course the guy who I was holding up was this taxi driver who was very annoyed with me, and I'm going, 'No, no you've gotta do it.' I'm positioning Nancy and saying, 'You've got to take it from there,' and so Nancy got it and she Instagrammed it to everyone."
Paul still works at Abbey Road Studios and he admits that whenever he goes back to the studio The Beatles made famous he can't help but reminisce about his times there with John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
He said: "For me, I start the tour, and whoever I'm with, I'm saying, 'Well OK now we [The Beatles] came here.' I just start on the stories and I bore everyone stiff every time."

Eddie Redmayne: Stephen Hawking is a huge flirt

Eddie Redmayne says Stephen Hawking was "incredibly flirtatious" when he visited the set of 'The Theory of Everything'.
The 32-year-old actor portrays the revered physicist in the new biopic and admits he was in awe of the professor's charm and wit when he was introduced to Eddie's co-star Felicity Jones, who plays his ex-wife Jane Wilde in the film.
Speaking in the January issue of Esquire magazine, Eddie said: "It's amazing, the aura he has. You're so used to how he looks - the silhouette and the voice - and I was really nervous. I just waffled - talking about him, to him. It was pretty embarrassing. Felicity came in and they got on like a house on fire. Stephen was incredibly flirtatious. A complete player."
Eddie had to work very hard to be cast as Stephen in the film and admits his initial excitement turned to fear when he realised the size of the task ahead of him.
The British star knew he had a responsibility to accurately portray Stephen's physical difficulties, caused by his motor neuron disease, on screen.
Eddie - who spent hours in a wheelchair on set - revealed: "There's a moment of excitement when you get a part like this, which soon gives way to dread. We knew if we screwed it up we'd be lambasted because Stephen is such an icon.
"I'm not going to lie, it was demanding and pretty intense. But we had fun, too, just as Stephen does. He doesn't live a disease, he lives a forward-thinking, funny life."

Jennifer Aniston’s coma sex scene cut

Jennifer Aniston had to have sex with Charlie Day when he was in a coma on 'Horrible Bosses 2'.
The 45-year-old actress admitted the erotic footage was tricky to film because the actor - who plays Dale Arbus - could only lie there with her on top, but in the end the scene was deemed too controversial and was cut from the comedy movie.
Speaking on truTV talk show 'Conan', she said: "Charlie Day's character is in a coma, and I exploit him whilst he was in a coma. So it was a sex scene that was sort of ... it was ... they removed it.
"But I bet it will be in those DVD extras or whatever they do.
"Usually you have someone there to support, but he's just laying there in a coma! And I'm like front ways, this way, that way, all by myself."
While that awkward scene was cut from the film, Jennifer still suffered plenty of embarrassment in the movie such as when her character, Dr. Julia Harris, wore a penis ring necklace, and the former 'Friends' star has revealed she in fact chose the jewellery item herself but didn't realise what it was.
She added: "It was one of those things where they had laid out the jewellery and I just gravitated towards that beautiful piece of jewellery, and I put it on and I was like, 'This is unique and cool'.
"I kept trying on other bits of her wardrobe and I just kept it, and they were like, 'Great! You chose the c**k ring!'
"I was like, 'I'm sorry, come again, what?' "
UK viewers can watch Jennifer's interview on 'Conan' at 11pm on Monday (08.12.14), on truTV (freeview channel 68) - the home of larger than life characters in real situations.
