Olivia Wilde’s family is ‘everything’

Olivia Wilde says her "family is everything."
The 'Drinking Buddies' star, who has a six-month-old son, Otis, with fiancé Jason Sudeikis, 39, credits her little boy for inspiring her to stand up for what she believes in.
The 30-year-old actress said: "Family is everything. I've always felt that way, but having a baby this year really drove that truism home."
Speaking out in support of Proposition 47, a California voter initiative seeking to reduce penalty time for certain crimes, she told E! News: "Being a mother has reinforced and refined my thinking on many issues, including - believe it or not - our criminal justice system."
The brunette beauty says her own parents also "instilled, since I was a child, a commitment to critical thinking. Don't believe what you hear; explore and analyse what you encounter to
determine your own truth. This family trait has led me to not only think deeply about societal issues but also to act."
She added: "Having my son has only increased my desire to do so."
Olivia recently admitted she has no plans to marry Jason, as they are already "fully committed" to each other.
She said: "In many ways, a child is more of a commitment. We are fully committed and really happy as a family. And there's no definition of the 'normal family' anymore. Kids today are growing up with so many different definitions of family. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't feel any pressure to do it. But I think it will be really fun."

A$AP Rocky and Chanel Iman split

A$AP Rocky and Chanel Iman have reportedly ended their engagement.
The 26-year-old rapper, who secretly proposed to the Victoria's Secret model in April after less than a year of dating, recently split from the 23-year-old beauty, as they struggled to find time to see each other.
A source told E! News: "They are no longer together. This happened about a few weeks ago.
"It was just not working out with both of their busy travel schedules. Time away from each other played a big part in the breakup."
The insider added: "They don't have any hard feelings. [They] only want the best for each other in the long run."
A$AP is currently in London as part of his European tour.
The 'Goldie' hitmaker, real name Rakim Mayers, previously dated fellow rapper Iggy Azalea and she previously confessed that their relationship ended badly.
She said at the time: "I definitely hated his guts and he hated my guts for a few months. It was a legit 'F**k you!' 'F**k you!' Peace out."
But the 'Black Widow' hitmaker - who had the tattoo of his name on her finger crossed out - insisted they still respect each other.
She said: "I don't call him up and have conversations and I wouldn't say Rocky is my friend, but there are times I've congratulated him on things he's achieved and he occasionally congratulates me on s**t that he's proud of ... We're cordial and I respect him, but there's a separation."

Jessica Paré is expecting her first child

Jessica Paré is expecting her first child.
The 'Mad Men' actress and her musician boyfriend John Kastner, who has a seven-year-old daughter, Summer Lee, from a previous marriage, will welcome a baby into the world next year.
A spokesperson for the 33-year-old Canadian star confirmed the news to UsMagazine.com.
The couple, who started dating in 2012, are notoriously tight-lipped about their relationship, but have attended several red carpet events together in the past.
The brunette beauty was previously married to actor Joseph M. Smith for three years until 2010.
Jessica previously admitted landing the part of Megan Draper on the AMC series, which came to an end earlier this year, completely changed her life.
She said: "Everything changed. Like, I was able to pay rent. And I had this old car. The engine had rusted though and the wheels were going to fall off. It was really bad..."
She added: "It's been such a big part of my life. Before I got the role I was having a hard time getting work and just in life, so it's been such a ride.
"It's a dream job for an actor. It's so well written and they are an amazing group of people to work with. We're very tight. We genuinely enjoy each other's company."

Eddie Redmayne just wants to pay his mortgage

Eddie Redmayne says he is just trying to pay his mortgage.
The 'Les Miserables' actor, who is set to marry antiques dealer Hannah Bagshawe in December, claims he doesn't consider himself "a movie star" and doesn't feel pressure for his films to be hugely successful.
He said: "A movie star is someone who has to open a film to gazillions of dollars. I'm just trying to pay my mortgage."
Meanwhile, Eddie still believes he could have tapped into his "kinky" side to star in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The British actor was surprised when author E.L. James dismissed him as a possible contender for the lead role of Christian Grey in the upcoming adaptation of her best-selling erotic novel after he expressed an interest in auditioning.
He told Variety magazine: "She took to her Twitter feed to go, 'Under no circumstances!' It was like, all right, all right! Am I that bad? I can put a whip in my hand. I can get all kinky, can't I? Apparently not."
But the 32-year-old actor is glad that his good friend Jamie Dornan eventually landed the part, as they used to hang out in Hollywood together with Andrew Garfield and Tom Sturridge before they all found fame.
He said: "We used to go to the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood, and split a sandwich between us because that meant we could get cheaper parking. We'd swim and play table tennis for hours."
Meanwhile, the 'Theory of Everything' star insists there is no competition between him and 'The Imitation Game' actor Benedict Cumberbatch amid speculation they will both be nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars next February.
He said: "I totally see why people are (comparing us), because of the subject matter; we both play geniuses. But I won't be engaged in that. I think he's the most beautiful actor. I've long admired his work, and continue to do so. I hope there's room for both our films."

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin’s split wasn’t dramatic

Jennifer Lawrence's split from Chris Martin reportedly "wasn't dramatic."
The 'Hunger Games' actress quietly decided to end her relationship with the Coldplay frontman a few weeks ago after four months of dating because she felt it had run its course, but "there are no hard feelings between them."
A source close to the 24-year-old star told E! News: "It wasn't dramatic.
"Things just didn't work out. There are no hard feelings between them."
The blonde beauty, who split from British actor Nicholas Hoult over the summer after four years of dating, was spotted collecting her belongings from the 37-year-old rocker's home in Malibu, California on Monday (27.10.14).
She later had dinner with her father, Gary Lawrence, in Santa Monica.
Jennifer is the first person Chris dated following his separation from Gwyneth Paltrow, 42, in March after 10 years of marriage.
A source recently revealed the 'Magic' hitmaker hadn't introduced the 'Silver Linings Playbook' actress to his children with Gwyneth, Apple, 10, and Moses, eight.
Last month, the insider said: "Chris seems very respectful of Gwyneth and feels more comfortable spending time with Jen away from his family."

Jane Lynch finalises divorce

Jane Lynch's ex-wife Dr. Lara Embry received millions in their divorce.
The 'Glee' star, whose split from clinical psychologist was finalised on Monday (27.10.14), following their separation in February 2012, reportedly agreed to give her a lump sum of $1.2 million and half of several bank and trust accounts, totally $847,485.
According to their property settlement, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, Lara will get the money over a two-year period and also received half of a 401K pension fund, totaling $315,079.
She also got half of all royalties from the actress' TV appearances, including 'Glee,' half of the proceeds from their Mullholland Tennis Club membership and their Los Angeles Yacht club membership, as well as half of their $56,810 tax refund and custody of their dog, Francis.
A source close to Jane previously insisted she and Lara were on "very civilised" terms after the former couple reached an amicable financial settlement in January.
The 54-year-old star also insisted that her divorce was "not a horrible thing" and friends explained she wanted to stay friends with Lara for the sake of her former spouse's 10-year-old daughter, Haden.
She said: "It's not dramatic. It's not a horrible thing. It's something that we're dealing with. It's two people who just decided it's better to go apart than stay together."
The pair got engaged in 2010 and married on Memorial Day in May the same year in an intimate ceremony in Sunderland, Massachusetts.

Amanda Bynes’ involuntary hold extended

Amanda Bynes will remain in hospital for another 30 days.
Doctors treating the 'Easy A' star, who was committed to a psychiatric treatment facility in Pasadena, California 17 days ago, secretly convinced a judge on Monday (27.10.14) to extend her involuntary hold because the 28-year-old star is still "very ill" and unable to take care of herself.
If the extension wasn't granted, the blonde beauty could have walked out of the hospital on Monday, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Meanwhile, Amanda's parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes, are said to have had a change of heart and are no longer sure whether they want to go back to court to regain a conservatorship over her because she feels betrayed by them for arranging for her to be taken to hospital, shortly after she was arrested for driving under the influence [DUI] and accused of shoplifting.
Amanda spent five months in a treatment facility in July 2013 when she was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold.
She was released in December and appeared to be getting her life back on track until a conservatorship giving her mother control of her affairs came to an end last month.
Another source recently revealed doctors may go to court to obtain an LPS hold, which would allow medics to confine her to hospital or another secure facility and administer medication against her will and lasts up to 12 months.

Rita Ora: Calvin Harris ‘was the right guy at the wrong time’

Rita Ora blames her busy schedule for her split from Calvin Harris.
The 'Black Widow' hitmaker says the Scottish DJ, who she split from in June after more than a year of dating, was "the right guy at the wrong time," and admits she "couldn't do" another long-distance relationship.
The 23-year-old star told the December issue of Cosmopolitan magazine: "There's only so much you can do when you don't see each other. I really admire people who have long-distance relationships. It's an incredible achievement. I couldn't do it."
The blonde beauty and her 30-year-old ex-boyfriend became embroiled in a bitter public feud shortly after their split when he reportedly banned her from singing his song, 'I Will Never Let You Down,' at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, but she doesn't regret their romance.
She said: "It was the right guy at the wrong time."
She added: "I was about to start a tour, and he was also all over the place."
Meanwhile, the 'R.I.P' hitmaker, who is now rumoured to be dating fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's rapper son Ricky Hil, 24, regularly tells herself she is "f**king sexy" in front of the mirror to boost her confidence.

Kylie Jenner is "bored" of rumours her she's had her lips surgically enhanced.
The 17-year-old reality TV star, who first sparked speculation she'd had injections to boost the size of her pout in April after showing off noticeably fuller lips on Instagram, thinks there are more important things to talk about and is eager to move on.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star hit back at her critics on Twitter on Monday night (27.10.14), writing: "How long are we gonna talk about this lip thing lmao. Let's get a our lives together guys and talk about some important s**t. Just talk about something new at least. I'm bored (sic)."

Emma Stone had advice column

Emma Stone used to write an advice column.
The 25-year-old actress has revealed she wanted to be a journalist as a youngster, and took to the internet to distribute an e-zine in which she would answer her own questions.
She told The Wall Street Journal newspaper: "I had an e-zine that I would send to three people who would subscribe, who were probably all my mom under different screen names, before blogging was really a thing.
"It was called Neptune. It was a pretty hip e-zine. I had an advice column which featured questions from me and answers by me, which was great for working things out in a strangely therapeutic sense for a 10 year old."
The 'Amazing Spider-Man' star acknowledged the content wasn't groundbreaking, but admitted her childhood struggle for media stardom actually started when she was far younger, when she distributed a news bulletin to girls in her school.
She explained: "I also had this newsletter that I made for the third-graders every Wednesday. I would put this newsletter on all the girls' desks, and it was called Girls' Locker.
"I don't know what my deal was, but I really wanted to be a journalist."
However, the flame-haired beauty - who is currently performing as Sally Bowles in a production of 'Cabaret' on Broadway - said she is no longer such a fan of the web and social media because it harbours too much content.
She added: "I grew up loving the Internet so much and building websites.
"I think now there's an overwhelming nature that's sort of inherent to social media - all the tweets and the constant-ness of it is a little much for me."

Al Pacino feels ‘lucky’ to have escaped depression

Al Pacino feels "lucky" to have never suffered from severe depression.
The 74-year-old screen legend admits he has had points in his life where he has felt low, especially when he battled alcoholism, but he has never been afflicted with the disease that has affected many of his peers, such as the late Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
In an interview with the new issue of Loaded magazine, he said: "I may be depressed, but I don't know about it. People go into depression and it's very, very sad and it can last and it's terrifying. I know that I've had bouts with stuff that comes to close to that, but not that intensity. I feel spared, I feel lucky."
Pacino no longer drinks after coming close to reaching "rock bottom" with booze, but hinted there would have been some crazy photographs of him if smartphones had existed in the 70s at the height of his partying.
The 'Donnie Brasco' star said: "(Smartphones) that's the new world. Believe it or not I lived in another world a while back where there were no selfies or cameras at all. So it was just red carpets."
Asked if he enjoys the non-stop attention from fans in this decade, he added: "Oh I love it, I just love it ... Look, I've been around just too damn long and people just know you. It's because people grew up with you, that's part of the thing, they grew up with your films."
The full interview with Al Pacino can be found in the new issue of men's magazine Loaded out now.
