Benedict Cumberbatch engaged

Benedict Cumberbatch has got engaged.
The 'Imitation Game' actor is to tie the knot with girlfriend Sophie Hunter after popping the question, but it is not yet known when the pair will head down the aisle.
News of the engagement was revealed in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of The Times newspaper.
The notice read: "The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."
Benedict, 38, was first romantically linked with the 36-year-old theatre director in June when they were seen watching tennis together.
When asked about their romance in the summer, Sophie's mother Katharine said: "Watch this space."
The pair were last seen together at London restaurant Quaglino's, but they arrived separately and were keen not to be pictured together.
They first met when starring opposite one another in 2009's 'Burlesque Fairytales'.
Just a year ago the 'Sherlock' star insisted he wasn't in a hurry to get married.
He said: "It's a wonderful thing to get married young and become a father.
"I used to think that I'd get married by my mid-thirties and have children.
"But now I think I can wait. I'm no longer in a hurry to get married."

Mel B doesn’t need to buy husband presents

Mel B doesn't need to buy her husband presents because he already has her.
The 'X Factor' judge revealed earlier this week that her husband of seven years, Stephen Belafonte had treated her to a brand new £20,000 wedding ring, but she claims she won't be getting him anything in return.
Quizzed on whether she was planning to get him a gift to say thank you, she told BANG Showbiz at the SeriousFun Children's Network Gala at London's Roundhouse: "He has this! [Points to her enviable figure in a stunning black gown]."
The 39-year-old beauty - who has daughter Madison with Stephen and is also stepmother to his daughter Giselle - did joke, however, that to thank him for her diamond ring, she won't kiss anyone else.
When asked who she'd "snog, marry or avoid" out of her fellow 'X Factor' judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Louis Walsh, she said: "Well, I just got a new blinger [points to ring] so I won't be snogging anybody apart from my husband. I think at least I owe him that."
Mel - who also has daughters Angel and Phoenix Chi from previous relationships - went on to say that while she's enjoying her time on 'The X Factor', she doesn't feel the need to monitor what people are saying about her on Twitter.
She explained: "I've got better things to do like look after my four kids and cater to my husband."
Quizzed on how she manages to juggle her busy career with family life the former Spice Girls star added: "I just do. I just fed my kids mac 'n' cheese and a bit of chicken and sausages and then I came down here smelling of mac 'n' cheese!"

Robert Downey Jr welcomes baby girl

Robert Downey Jr.'s wife Susan has given birth to a baby girl.
The newborn - who is yet to be named - adds to the couple's brood of two-a-half-year-old son Exton, as well as Robert's son Indio, 21, from a previous marriage to Deborah Falconer, reports People.com.
Last week, the actor made a heartfelt tribute to Susan and his soon-to-be-born daughter at the BAFTA Los Angeles Jaguar Britannia Awards, where he took home the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film.
Robert said: "It's just the uncertainty of how nowadays you have all these things where you think you have much more of an understanding of what you're going to get. And then this little soul lets herself be known to you, and it's just like, You don't know anything. It's great!
He added of his expectant wife: "How is she still so darn pretty and functional and mood-stable?"
Robert - who married Susan in 2005 - previously admitted he was really excited about becoming a father for the third time and having a sister for Exton, but the 49-year-old star admitted he was nervous about raising his first daughter.
He said: "I've never had a daughter before, so I don't know what really prepares a dad. I'm asking around. But I did my part and now I'm just going to show up and do what I'm told."

Ed Sheeran trapped in tour bus

Ed Sheeran got trapped in his tour bus.
The 23-year-old singer took to Twitter to reveal his plight after being caught short when he tore the handle off his door when he was busting to go to the toilet, but the star managed to look on the bright side because he had plenty of episodes of 'The Simpsons' to watch.
He tweeted: "Definitely broke the door handle off of the back lounge of the bus and now trapped in. I have the Simpsons but I also need to pee (sic)"
Shortly before Ed's unfortunate incident he told his supporters - who are nicknamed Sheerios - he was making his way through the back catalogue of the adult animated sitcom, which has more than 550 episodes after first airing in December 1989.
He wrote: "Started watching every simpson episode from the beginning. The first season has some dark themes looking back at it, but still awesome (sic)"
While Ed was unfortunate to get locked in the mode of transport, the 'Don't' hitmaker should count himself lucky he hasn't had to resort to the lengths his friends One Direction had to last year when they hired a member of staff to protect their clothing from getting stolen from their tour bus.
It came after some keen supporters were said to have broken into band member Louis Tomlinson's Palm Beach, Florida, apartment and stole his red Calvin Klein underwear.

James Jordan: Ola won’t win Strictly Come Dancing

James Jordan doesn't think his wife will win 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' star was axed from the BBC One celebrity dance contest last year but wife Ola Jordan is currently competing with 'Deadly 60' presenter Steve Backshall, who he doesn't think has a chance of taking home the coveted glitterball trophy.
Speaking at the SeriousFun Children's Network Gala at London's Roundhouse, James told BANG Showbiz: "Frankie's [Frankie Bridge] going to win obviously. I think Frankie will win but, yeah, it would be great if Ola won."
James did have words of encouragement for Steve, however, as he confessed he thinks he's doing really well considering other celebrities taking part including Frankie, former 'Xtra Factor' host Caroline Flack and singer Pixie Lott have had dance lessons in the past.
The 36-year-old ballroom dancer said: "You know what, he seems really likeable which is great and he seems like he's a trier and, for me, that's what Strictly's about.
"Of course you're always going to have people on the show who have had previous dance training and he's obviously had none and I think he's doing a good job for quite a big guy."
Meanwhile, 32-year-old Ola has responded to her husband's claim that she won't win, admitting she'd love to lift the trophy for a second time after winning with Chris Hollins in 2009.
She said: "I need to prove him wrong then don't I? I would love to be the first dancer to win it for a second time."

Vicky Pattison quit Geordie Shore to be ‘normal’

Vicky Pattison quit 'Geordie Shore' to be a "normal girl".
The 26-year-old reality star announced last week that series nine will be her last season on the MTV reality show because she wants to retreat from the spotlight and settle down with her butcher boyfriend James Morgan, 32.
Asked why she decided to walk away from the programme, she said: "I'm trying to slow my life down a bit - it's all very well taking on every photo shoot and business opportunity, but is it going to make me happy at the end of the day? I don't think so.
"I'm just a normal girl who'd eventually like a husband, house and a family. And I think James is 'The One'."
Vicky has only been dating James - who has a six-year-old daughter, Talia, from a previous romance - since February but they have already discussed marriage and having children.
She told the new issue of Now magazine: "We've been talking about [marriage] but my sister Laura said, 'Don't be doing anything stupid James. I'm not having you propose to her after you've been together less than a year.'
"I didn't think I was broody - I'm so not into kids. But as I get older, I do want them. Talia's definitely helped. If I do have kids, it'll be way, way in the future."
Vicky - who was previously engaged to her co-star Ricci Guarnaccio - has been made the Queen of the 'Geordie Shore' house and put in charge of her other housemates, including Charlotte Crosby, Holly Hagan, Marnie Simpson, Scott 'Scotty T' Timlin and Gary 'Gaz' Beadle, for her final series.

Lauren Goodger: Mark is embarrassing on Strictly

Lauren Goodger thinks Mark Wright's 'Strictly Come Dancing' performances are "embarrassing".
The former 'Only Way is Essex' star admits she can't bear to watch her former boyfriend in action on the ballroom dance contest because his routines have been so cringe-worthy.
Speaking to the new issue of heat magazine, she said "It's embarrassing. I mean, what is he doing? I watch and can't stop laughing at his dancing and the faces he pulls. I don't know why he does it - he looks silly."
Mark found himself close to leaving the competition two weeks ago, prompting him to break down in tears, and judge Craig Revel Horwood recently criticised his emotional outburst.
He said: "Pull yourself together. Man up. It's only a dancing show and not World War Three.
"Don't get upset when you get criticised by the judges. We're there to help and we're there to criticise. It's our job."
Mark recently admitted his hectic 'Strictly Come Dancing' training schedule means he hasn't been seeing as much of his fiancée Michelle Keegan as he'd like.
He said: "It's been so great living together but then Strictly started and everything went crazy. We've been taken away from each other a little bit.
"But 'Strictly...' is finishing at Christmas, as is the TV drama she's working on, so we're going to take January off, relax and get ready for next year's wedding."

Michael Eavis: It would be ‘marvellous’ if Oasis reformed at Glastonbury

Michael Eavis hopes Oasis will reunite at Glastonbury.
The 78-year-old founder of the music festival has confessed he is in constant talks with brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher and would love for them to reform their former band for a headline slot.
He said: "I do talk to Noel and Liam a lot. Wouldn't it be marvellous for them to relaunch at Glastonbury now Liam has split from Beady Eye?"
However, 47-year-old Noel - who confessed he and Liam, 42, were on "good terms" again last month following their falling out backstage in 2009 - has shot down rumours of a reunion to mark the 20th anniversary of Oasis' hit second album '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' next summer.
He said: "I'm f**king looking forward to spoiling everybody's party next year. We won't be doing it."
Meanwhile, Michael has revealed another artist he's interested in booking for the annual event at Worthy Farm in Somerset, south west England, after noticing a gap in her recently released tour schedule.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Taylor Swift would be great to follow the Dolly Parton slot - especially being a country singer."
Commenting on speculation that rock royalty Fleetwood Mac are to perform next year, he added: "No, Fleetwood Mac isn't looking good at the moment. I'm afraid not."

Kelly Rowland gives birth to baby boy

Kelly Rowland has given birth to a baby boy.
The 33-year-old star welcomed her first child with husband Tim Witherspoon into the world yesterday (04.11.14) afternoon, her representative has confirmed to PEOPLE magazine.
Following the birth of son Titan Jewell, who weighed in at 7.5lbs, Kelly said: "We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son.
"We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!"
The former Destiny's Child singer - who confirmed she and Tim were expecting a boy earlier this year - has shown much excitement about the arrival of her first child throughout much of her pregnancy.
Speaking about naming her son, who she's already bought a pair of mini Air Jordan trainers for, she said previously: "The dad picked out the name. It had to do with family."
And just last month the raven hair beauty posed for a number of nude photos, in which her growing baby bump was at its biggest.
She said of the imminent arrival of baby Titan: "When the baby gets here, it's not just one baby. I have two babies now. My husband and the baby - you have to take care of both."
Kelly first announced she and Tim were pregnant in June, just one month after they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Costa Rica.

Claire Danes’ awards double dates

Claire Danes uses awards season to have "double dates" with her friends.
The 'Homeland' actress - who has 23-month-old son Cyrus with husband Hugh Dancy - insists there is no rivalry between herself and fellow TV stars, and they love attending glitzy occasions like the Emmy Awards in a group.
She said: "There is no rivalry. If anything, [awards nights] are an occasion to catch up.
"We're good friends with Ty Burrell from 'Modern Family' and his wife Holly, and it's become a joke that the Emmys are like a vehicle for a double date - a very well-catered, black-tie version of a dinner party we keep meaning to have in our normal lives."
One friend Claire sees a lot less of these days is Damian Lewis, who was killed off in the last series of 'Homeland' and she admits she misses his presence on set.
She added to Glamour magazine: "I miss acting with Damian, first and foremost. He is an extraordinarily gifted performer.
"I also miss his friendship, he's a very bright, funny chap who adores his wife and kids. It's rare to find someone equally as talented as he is kind and sane."
