Noel Gallagher has slammed chart music.
The former Oasis rocker has criticised the state of the music industry and claims artists at the top of the current chart are "s**t" and "all the f**king same".
He said: "Bands now go cap-in-hand to the industry and the industry has already decided what it wants for the f**king chart stars.
"But the charts are all the f**king same. Every single song in the Top 10 is the same s**t with a different voice."
The 47-year-old musician is positive Oasis - who won fifteen NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV European Music Awards and six Brit Awards - wouldn't have been as successful if they were starting out their career today as he doesn't think artists are given enough control.
He also alleged that national radio station BBC Radio 1 judges an artist by their following on social media.
He told NME magazine: "If Oasis were starting tomorrow we would have nowhere near the impact, because you're judged instantly on your first gig, and then Radio 1 will judge you on how many f**king followers you've got on Facebook.
"Oasis never had an A&R at Creation - we were given the f**king keys to the kingdom and they went, 'Off you go, see you in a bit'.
"Now, the manager is accountable to the A&R guy, who's accountable to the guy above him, who's gonna lose his f**king job."

Pete Doherty tried to recruit a "warlord's daughter" for the new The Libertines album while in rehab.
The band's frontman - who left the Hope Rehab facility in Thailand in December after recovering from a heroin addiction - has been working on new music during his time in the Asian country and is hoping some of the influences from the nation will translate to the group's third studio album.
Speaking about what he did during his stint in the centre, he said: "I've come up with some good riffs too. Like simple bass lines and I'm trying to get this warlord's daughter to play drums for me but she's off the radar at the moment. So hopefully we'll have some new ideas when Carl next bounds into view in his bandana and leathers. A man who swore he'd never wear flip-flops! Although he doesn't call them flip flops he calls them 'sliders'."
As well as working on the follow-up to the band's self-titled 2004 record, the 35-year-old rocker - who sings and plays guitar in the band alongside Carl Barât, John Hassall and Gary Powell - said he has been revisiting some of his favourite tracks as a youngster while recovering.
He explained: "The thing is it's quite a tranquil place, so I don't like to make too much noise. But I'll say that I have rediscovered a few facets that have come back to life since I've been here and one of them is just enjoying playing guitar and learning songs I used to know backwards and inside out. Like old Lindisfarne and Stone Roses songs and just taking them and just shifting the chords about."

Olivia Colman worries 'Broadchurch' fans will get tired of seeing her cry.
The 40-year-old actress stars alongside David Tennant in the ITV crime drama and has revealed her concern over crying so often on screen.
Olivia - who plays DS Ellie Miller on the show - explained: "I have a sneaking suspicion that audiences have seen me crying a little bit too often in the past couple of years.
"And if people get really fed up with me, then I won't get more work. And if I can't do what I love, then I will shrivel up and die."
The BAFTA-winning star said her emotions tend to be very raw, which often leads her to burst into tears.
She told Vogue magazine: "If something touches me, I cry. That's it. I'm a bit raw, a bit rubbish really. Often a director will say to me, 'I don't think this is a scene where your character cries.' And all I can say is, good luck with that!"
However, Olivia has previously admitted she requires a good script in order to become emotional.
She said: "I don't think you can cry if the script is rubbish.
"I have to feel it; it's as simple as that. It's just like if you're watching something moving and you feel yourself welling up. It's the same thing.
"You're just being carried along with the story. There's nothing magical about it. I think I'm in touch with my emotions and I can't help it. If it touches me I cry. I cry a lot."

Ben Affleck insisted other people were more "deserving" after he was named Favourite Humanitarian at the People's Choice Awards last night (07.01.14).

Katie Price is "so proud" of her cheating husband Kieran Hayler for going through therapy.
The 36-year-old star was left devastated last year when she discovered, while pregnant with their second child, he had cheated on her with two of best friends, Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas, but she has now taken to Twitter to praise the hunk and admit she is "so in love" with him again.
In a heartfelt message attached to a picture of some flowers he bought her, she wrote: "Love my amazing flowers from my hubby so proud how well he has come through therapy people can change #soinlove (sic)"
The former model - who has two kids with Kieran, 16-month-old Jett and five-month-old Bunny, as well as Harvey, 12, Princess, nine, and Junior, seven, from previous relationships - also admitted she is looking forward to the couple renewing her wedding vows this month.
She tweeted: "Can't wait for our wedding vows 🙂
"Something's happen for reasons that are not nice but by being persistent you can get a happy ending (sic)"
While Katie appears to have forgiven Kieran - who entered therapy for sex addiction last year - for his infidelity the same cannot be said for her two former friends Jane and Chrissy, who she still slams on social networking sites.
On Monday (05.01.15), Katie took to her YouGossip site to post an unflattering picture of Jane and tweeted the caption: "Whoops jane pountney from storrington who had sex 4 10 months behind my back whilst I was pregnant don't trust her (sic)"
Katie has previously admitted she has dismissed her first wedding to Kieran in the Bahamas in January 2013 - where Jane was her maid of honour - and insists renewing their vows will be their "real wedding day".

Adam Sandler joked he wanted his wife to "show" how much she loved him after the People's Choice Awards.
The 'Blended' actor's spouse Jackie - with who he has daughters Sadie, eight, and six-year-old Sunny - was in the audience at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater as he picked up the Favourite Comedic Movie Actor and he used his acceptance speech to garner laughs as he dedicate the prize to her.
Adam - who picked up the award for the fifth year in a row - said: "This means a lot - I didn't have a chance to write an speech and I feel terrible... But to my wife, I love you and I hope you show that tonight."
Elsewhere, Robert Downey Jr. and Iggy Azealia also picked up laughs from the audience with their acceptance speeches.
The 'Iron Man 3' star was named Favourite Dramatic Movie Actor and quoted a comment his two-year-old son Exton made to wife Susan in his speech.
He told the audience: "I love you and I want to eat you up."
Iggy - who also performed 'Beg For It' during the show - accepted the prize for Favourite Hip Hop Artist from Dax Shepard and explained she was late to the award for staying up late watching his show.
She then added: "You look much, much, much better in person." Um, oh... I'm joking."
Kevin Hart took to the stage with three selfie sticks while presenting the first award of the evening with 'Wedding Ringer' co-stars Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting.
He quipped: "Everybody wants a piece of K. Hart so I'm giving it to them."
Though he stayed at home to care for two-year-old son Jack, Chris Pratt also made the audience laugh as he appeared in a pre-recorded opening sketch with wife Anna Faris.
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star and his spouse - who co-hosted the evening with 'Mom' co-star Allison Janney - were seen relaxing at "home" as Anna said: "Hey, Hun? You know how I'm doing that People's Choice Awards thing."
Chris, studying a script, replied: "Yeah I turned that down."
His wife then moved a huge stack of scripts so she could sit next to her in-demand husband and replied: "Oh, well, I didn't. Um, listen. I would really appreciate it if you could make a teeny little appearance."

Jennifer Love Hewitt is pregnant.
The 35-year-old actress is said to be "thrilled" to be expecting her second child with husband Brian Hallisay - who she has 13-month-old daughter Autumn James with - later this year.
Her representative confirmed to PEOPLE magazine: "Jennifer and Brian are thrilled to be expecting their second child."
Jennifer praised Brian - who she wed in secret five days before giving birth to Autumn in November 2013 - for his support in the delivery room and joked he should start doing it for a living.
She said: "He should be a male doula. I was really worried that I was going to get that face, 'Mmm, what's happening here?' - and I'm not good at the faces so I would've been like, 'What does that mean? What does that mean!'
"But he was just like, 'This is great. I am so proud of you right now. This is awesome, you look beautiful.' I was really proud of him."
The brunette beauty also recently admitted the first time she was expecting in 2013 she had to "avoid people" for the majority of her pregnancy because they were so rude.
She explained: "People are mean to you! You're like, 'I'm a pregnant lady. You can't be mean to me,' and they're like, 'Well, then tell us what your baby is!' and I'm like, 'I don't know.'
"And then they guess, which is insulting for the woman because they're like, 'Oh, well, you're really carrying in the backside.' I'm like, 'I have been carrying in the backside since I was 15. This is not pregnancy - it's just who I am!'
"Or they're like, 'It's really in your boobs!' And I'm like, 'Yeah, it's been there, too, since I was 15.' They say the dumbest things ...I just avoided people most of my pregnancy and after. And I was happy!"

Iggy Azalea thinks sexism is to blame for much of the criticism she receives.
The 24-year-old star says it's especially difficult for her to succeed in the rap industry because she's white and female.
Asked if she thinks she's being singled out for criticism because she's a woman, Iggy replied: "Well, they don't say that stuff about Macklemore. So, yes, I think it has 100,000 percent to do with the fact that I have a vagina."
Iggy also suggested the public is unduly interested in the fact she's a white Australian forging a successful career in hip-hop.
The blonde beauty told Vanity Fair magazine: "I never thought it was strange. If you go back to the Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley and Eminem - they've all basically done black music.
"I felt this wasn't that far from what we've seen in music history over and over again."
Meanwhile, Iggy revealed recently that she has been diagnosed with the jaw condition TMJ.
The condition, otherwise known as temporomandibular joint dysfunction, can be caused by stress and restricts movement of the mouth, making eating and talking more difficult.
She tweeted: "Last month I was diagnosed with TMJ which isn't the best ... I don't think western medicine all the way acknowledges what a huge toll mental stress takes on our bodies. But I do believe it is a factor. I'm gonna make more of an effort to take care of myself in 2015, stay away from all the drama & hopefully not have any flair ups. (sic)."

Calum Best has no plans to "get pissed and chase girls" in the 'Celebrity Big Brother' house.
The 33-year-old former model - who is known for having romanced a number of celebrity women - insists he's past his days of being a player but still wants to have fun on the Channel 5 show.
He said: "I indulge, but I'm not going on here to get pissed and chase girls. That's not my vibe at all. It was at some point in my life. But I'm not a born again Christian, I will still go on here and have some fun."
The TV personality - who is the son of football legend George Best - claims that while he's more than happy to get his "kit off" in the house, he won't be making moves on any of the female housemates.
He shared: "There have been press pieces saying Calum us going in to sex up the show and it's like, 'Are you serious?' I'd be taking 20 steps backwards if I had sex on national television!"
Calum's last stint on reality TV was on 'Celebrity Love Island', which he won with love interest Bianca Gascoigne ten years ago, but he believes he's now much more mature.
He added: "The biggest reason for me [doing CBB] is that now, at 33, being good in my health, good in my head and my soul, I just want to show people the kind of person that I am now."

Katie Hopkins will put a stop to any raunchy behaviour on 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The former 'The Apprentice' candidate felt the reality series was far too vulgar last year and insists she won't allow any of her fellow housemates to perform sexual acts on one another during her stint on the show.
She revealed: "There will be no lust in the house while I am there. I will throw vinegar over people's testicles or salt into openings. They know the cameras are there and if that is the best you've got to keep yourself on a TV programme then your armoury is pretty lacking."
The 39-year-old star - who recently put on four stone in weight and then lost it again to prove her opinion that fat people are lazy - admits she plans to be her controversial self on the Channel 5 series but that viewers may grow fond of her.
She explained: "I think what people might say is, 'Hold on she's not a complete cow', and they may think that is a different Katie we're seeing but what they'll be seeing is Katie 24/7, therefore you're seeing more of all sorts of person. But I've never thought of toning it down because that would be being Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, wouldn't it?"

Charlize Theron took a stand to ensure she got paid the same as co-star Chris Hemsworth for 'The Huntsman'.
The 39-year-old actress was initially set to be paid less than her co-star for appearing in movie, which is due out in 2016, but she negotiated and will now get more than $10 million for her appearance.
An insider explained: "Charlize insisted that she get paid the same money as Chris. She has a great track record, so she got the same deal."
Another source told the New York Post's Page Six column: "One knock-on effect from the Sony hacking scandal is that there will be more sensitivity about equal pay for actresses and hiring practices at movie studios."
'The Huntsman' is a prequel to the 2012 hit film 'Snow White and the Huntsman', which also starred Kristen Stewart.
Meanwhile, Aaron Sorkin claimed recently women's on-screen roles have a lower "degree of difficulty" than men's.
The 53-year-old producer said Meryl Streep and Dame Helen Mirren are two of the only female stars who can hold their own among the top male actors.
He said: "Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep can play with the boys but there just aren't that many tour-de-force roles out there for women."
