The ‘Take Me Out’ host – who has three young children with his wife Christine Martin – doesn’t think he could sign up to the creepy-crawly show at the moment because he’s absolutely "terrified" of flying and it would take a lot for him to get on a plane to Australia, where the series is filmed, but he would have no qualms about heading Down Under and getting stuck into the gruesome Bushtucker Trials if he was desperate for money.
Speaking on ‘The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw’, he said: "’Celebrity Big Brother’ and the jungle are the ones I get excited about. I can’t wait for them to start.
"The jungle I enjoy the most, but I could not do that. I don’t like flying. Just getting to Australia for me, they’d have to film that. I’d be like, ‘Have I won 10 stars getting off the plane?’
"But don’t get me wrong, we’ve all got mortgages and I would be the first one with a kangaroo’s willy in my mouth if I was skint. I’d be the first one there."
And, although he thinks going into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother house is the easiest reality TV show to take part in, he thinks he would "lose his mind" if he was locked up for three weeks with a bunch of celebrities.
He explained: "’Celebrity Big Brother’ is the easiest one to do. But they all absolutely lose their minds and I’m like, ‘You’re in a house with tea and coffee, what’s the problem?’
"Have you ever been to that house where they film it? It is quite small. And it’s very dirty.
"I looked through the windows once there and I couldn’t believe how dirty it was. There were bits and bats all over the carpet. I think that’d be the one to do. I’d like to think in 10 years time me and you will be sat in there going, ‘Remember when we were really successful back in the day?’ "
