Oti Mabuse: My husband won’t be on Strictly

Oti Mabuse’s husband won’t join her on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 29-year-old pro dancer – who married fellow dancer Marius Iepure in 2012 – is happy to keep her relationship out of the limelight, and her significant other is proud to watch his wife on the BBC dancing competition.

Asked if Marius would step in for departing dancers Kevin Clifton or AJ Pritchard, she told fans on Instagram Live: "He’s not replacing them. Marius loves competing, all he can talk about is competitive dancing. That’s his passion, it will always be his passion. He keeps me fresh with ideas, techniques and is always trying to evolve."

Oti and Marius, 37, are planning to open their own dance school after lockdown has been lifted.

Revealing her ambitions for the future, she previously said: "[There is] nothing more fulfilling like dance, you can’t help but smile. Can’t wait for the day I can have my school and just dance and teach all day."

The lovebirds have been spending their time in isolation making daily videos to teach people how to dance from their own living room.

They cleared space in their living room to create their own makeshift dance studio, with the wooden flooring ideal for practicing their fast-paced routines.

And the couple have also been enjoying country walks.

Last month, Marius shared a selfie of him and Oti, and he added the caption: "Enjoying the nature and a little bit of freedom! take care guys! #nature #walk #freedom #covid19uk (sic)"
