Ore Oduba’s weekly dance lessons

Ore Oduba wants to be a professional dancer.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner – who lifted the famous glitterball trophy last year when he pipped Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp to the post – fell in love with ballroom and latin when he competed on the programme that he’s still taking weekly professional lessons in the hope he can eventually turn it into a full-time job.
In an interview with the London Evening Standard newspaper, the 31-year-old hunk said: "I said during the show that I had to keep dancing and not waste this opportunity. Learning how to dance with the best in the world and then the show finishes – to discontinue would be a crying shame.
"I’m just trying to get better because this was more than just a show for me. I Iove dance and I never foresee a time when it won’t be in my life. I want to get better, I want to incorporate it into something I can call work, a career, somehow."
The BBC sports presenter can see himself starring on London’s West End one day but, in the meantime, he’s just training as a hobby.
He explained: "I’m acquiring the discipline at the moment then who knows?
"I’m doing it for the love, but maybe the moons will align and I’ll get to do it all over again. At the end of the series Jo and I said that we would dance together again."
Before he’s waltzing on stage, the TV star will be preparing to become a father for the first time as his wife Portia – who he married in 2015 – is expecting their first child.
Announcing the pair’s happy news on Instagram last month, alongside a photograph of himself looking shocked and Portia held her baby bump, Ore wrote: "Not sure what I did to deserve this one. My best friend, the most amazing wife and soon to be the most amazing mum "Been a pretty life-changing last 12 months, now @portiajett and I are preparing for our biggest adventure yet! Can’t hide our excitement anymore Starting a family has always been our dream. And no prizes for guessing.. THERE. WILL. BE. TEARS!!!! #babynews #pregnancyannouncement #tinydancer (sic)"
