Ordinary Lies axed

‘Ordinary Lies’ has been axed.
The BBC drama ran for two seasons – which were unconnected from one another – and attracted a star-studded cast for each, but there are "no current plans" to produce any more episodes.
Red Production Company, who made the series, told the Daily Star newspaper: "There are no current plans for a third series at this stage."
The programme followed a different character each episode and how a lie they told could cause major chaos.
The first series was set in a car show room and featured the likes of Michelle Keegan, Max Beesley and Jason Manford, while season two – which followed the employees of a sporting goods company – starred Angela Griffin, Matt Di Angelo and Kimberley Nixon.
Series producers had previously spoken of how much they enjoyed coming up with the different interconnecting storylines for the show.
Speaking ahead of season two, writer and executive producer Danny Brocklehurst said: "I have loved creating a new web of intrigue, secrecy and mayhem for a range of new characters, which will be brought to life by a truly fantastic and talented cast. The new series promises more humour, heartache and shock revelations as very ordinary people find themselves in the most desperate of situations."
And Executive Producer Nicola Shindler added: "The audience response to the first series of ‘Ordinary Lies’ was truly overwhelming so we’re delighted to be introducing a brand new set of characters and deceptions for viewers to sink their teeth into for series two."
