One Direction to release new film

One Direction are to release what is expected to be the "biggest concert movie ever".

The ‘Little Things’ hitmakers – who released a film about their lives on the road, ‘This is Us’, last August – will bring out ‘Where We Are: The Concert Film’ in over 50 countries on October 11 and 12, promising a huge global audience for the screenings.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "This could become the biggest concert movie ever — there’s going to be more than 10,000 screenings internationally.

"So many 1D fans didn’t get the chance to buy tickets to the band’s show because the stadium tour sold out – but this means no one will have to miss out."

The concert was filmed in Milan’s San Siro Stadium on June 28 and 29 as part of the Italian leg of their current world tour, and will also include behind-the-scenes footage captured by the group’s friend Ben Winston and a previously unseen interview with band members Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.

The film is executive produced by Simon Cowell and has been made by Fulwell 73, the same company behind ‘This Is Us’.

The group’s last film drew in over £40 million at the UK and US box office.
