Olly Murs wants to date a cougar.
The 32-year-old singer has been single since splitting from his girlfriend Francesca Thomas, 27, last year but he is looking for love and is keen to find a "strong" woman to romance and he is perfectly happier if they are older than him.
Speaking to Closer magazine, he said: "I’m a strong person so I’m looking for a strong woman. I wouldn’t rule out going out with an older woman. There shouldn’t be an age limit on dating. It’s all about having a good time and enjoying great chemistry."
Although he wants to get a new girlfriend, the ‘Troublemaker’ hitmaker admits dating in the public eye can be tricky and he lives in fear of getting snapped on camera phones by the public.
He said: "In this job you have to be more careful. I’ve been caught on Snapchat a few times kissing girls in nightclubs. It’s a new age – everyone is a paparazzi."
Olly won’t rule out online dating as an "option", but he’d rather not log-on for love, and he thinks he’ll be able to meet a lady through his pop star job.
He said: "It’s an option, but in my job I meet loads of people and, if I see someone attractive who I like, I just go and talk to them.
"I have kissed a celeb before – it was just a little snog – nothing else. Everyone thinks it’s Caroline Flack, but it’s not."
The ‘You Don’t Know Love’ singer insists he is not a "slapper" and isn’t interested in having casual sex.
He said: "People would suspect that because I’m a pop star I’d be sleeping with different girls every week but that’s not the kind of person I am. I’m no slapper!
"Of course, when I was younger and not interested in a serious relationship, I had a lot of fun but I’m not that kind of person now."
