Olly Murs wants to be part of The X Factor

Olly Murs would "love" to be part of this year’s ‘The X Factor’.
The 32-year-old singer – who hosted the main show last year alongside Caroline Flack before being dropped a few weeks after the series ended – has admitted he’d quite like to be given the chance to help out during the Judges Houses round.
Speaking to the Express.co.uk, he said: "I’d love to do it again [Judges’ Houses]! I did it with Gary [Barlow] a few years ago and it was amazing. I’ll always be open to give my advice to contestants."
However, it seems big boss Simon Cowell isn’t so keen on that idea as Olly has mentioned it to him before and he’s yet to take him up on his offer.
He explained: "I’ve always said that to Simon, if any of the contestants want some advice on the show I’ll always be there as a mentor. I felt like that was one thing that I really brought to the show last year, I was always someone there for the contestants to speak to if they needed any advice or help.
"So, obviously if Simon or one of the judges invited me to do Judges’ Houses, I’d love to lend my support."
The ‘Troublemaker’ hitmaker was slammed with backlash during his presenting slot last year after he made a series of gaffes but he has admitted the criticism hasn’t put him off and he’d love to give it another go but on his own show.
He said: "Me and Caroline went into it trying to do our own thing, but sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. I think if I was to do TV again I’d want to do my own show and put my own stamp on it."
