Olly Murs thinks he did ‘good job’ on The X Factor

Olly Murs thought he did a "good job" presenting ‘The X Factor’.
The ‘Troublemaker’ hitmaker may have reportedly been dropped from the singing show following just one series of hosting due to his on-screen gaffes but he’s convinced, despite a few red-faced moments, he did well.
He said: "In my heart, I felt like I did a good job and there were a few hiccups along the way but that’s what live TV is about."
And the 31-year-old hunk hopes the hosting gig has opened up more doors for him in the future.
He added: "The biggest learning experience was doing live television and presenting the biggest show on TV. I’d only ever presented ‘The Xtra Factor’ and a couple of bits and bobs along the way, so to be given the biggest gig on TV was a huge opportunity and I loved it. It’s something I’ll never forget and hopefully I can take that into more TV work in the future."
But, for now, Olly – who shot to fame after coming second on ‘The X Factor’ in 2009 – wants to focus on his music career.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: "I wouldn’t have got ‘The X Factor’ job if it hadn’t been for the success that I’ve had with music. To do my new album and promote it as well as doing ‘The X Factor’ would have been too difficult … I’ve still got a deal with Sony for another three albums."
