Olly Murs: My new album will be a lot sexier

Olly Murs’ next album will be "a lot sexier" than his previous releases.
The 31-year-old singer has been working on some new songs for his follow-up to 2014’s ‘Never Been Better’ and the pop star – who split from his girlfriend of three years Francesca Thomas in 2015 – feels like being a bachelor has had a major influence on fifth studio LP.
Of the forthcoming records, he said: "It definitely feels a lot sexier than normal.
"I think because it’s being single I am in a different place than I was with the last album."
The ‘Troublemaker’ hitmaker has teamed up with MNEK – real name Uzo Emenike – for some songs so he could challenge himself.
Of the collaborations, he told the Metro newspaper: "It’s a lot sexier than I’ve done before. I wrote with MNEK this week. I like to test myself and do different sessions with different people. Uzo’s a really good talent."
Olly insists working with different artists with different sounds has allowed him to progress as an artist.
He added: "It’s important for me to move with the times and not alienate myself from the industry.
"You always get a different vibe when you go to America."
Olly has a huge show coming up on July 9 when he supports Take That at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park and he is hoping to have new tracks ready to play to his fans.
He said: "It feels different this time around. I have a lot more to talk about. Hopefully I will have some new material to play. It’s exciting."
