Noel Gallagher praises his ‘scissor queen’

Noel Gallagher says his scissor player is a "queen" and will be allowed to do anything she wants when he and his band the High Flying Birds go tour.
The 50-year-old rocker sparked a furore on Twitter from his brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher and his fans when he performed his new song ‘She Taught Me How To Fly’ on weekly UK music show ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ in October with a backing singer playing the stationary shearer.
Noel has praised his quirky French bandmate for her flair and attitude and he is willing to indulge her every whim when the group hit the road to promote his third solo LP ‘Who Built The Moon?’.
Taking part in a new GQ interview series called ‘Actually Me’, which sees stars reluctant to engaged in social media set up secret accounts on Twitter, Reddit, YouTube and Instagram to speak to their fans, the ‘Holy Mountain’ singer was asked if his scissor player gets her own soundcheck.
Posting on Twitter under the username @ActuallyNoelG, he cheekily replied: "She is the scissor queen, she can do anything. She does not get a sound check because we have yet to do an actual gig. She doesn’t have a scissor tech, either, because scissor techs don’t exist. But no doubt she’ll want one. And if she wants one, she can have one, because she’s amazing."
Noel also responded to a fan who jokingly asked why his High Flying Birds band and Liam’s touring group both have members that look like the ‘Wonderwall’ songwriter.
When quizzed if it was a contractual obligation, the guitarist answered: "I’m afraid to say that it is. But you know, at least we don’t have two girls who look like Noel, because that – nobody wants to see that."
Noel had previously vowed to never join Twitter as he didn’t want to have to engage with his estranged sibling Liam, 45, who uses the social media platform to regularly attack his older brother with his "potato" jibes and attacks on his new music.
‘Wall of Glass’ hitmaker Liam has admitted that he "could kill" his career every time he tweets but he thinks the reason he has amassed 2.61 million followers is because people enjoy his honesty.
The singer previously said: "I could kill my career every weekend when I get on that Twitter or talk in interviews. But it is what it is. People want a bit of honesty. Everyone’s sick of politician rock ‘n’ roll stars who are saying one thing one minute and not saying it the next."
