Noel Fielding ‘handed bumper pay deal by Channel 4’

Noel Fielding has reportedly been handed a £150,000 pay rise to continue hosting ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 46-year-old comedy star – who has hosted the iconic show since 2017 – has now become one of the best-paid presenters on Channel 4, after agreeing a lucrative new deal.
A TV source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Noel is incredibly popular with both viewers, and the cast and crew of ‘Bake Off’ – he’s a real commodity to Channel 4.
"With Sandi [Toksvig] leaving, it’s important they keep up with continuity to ensure people continue. Noel secured a healthy salary rise off the back of the success of the first two series.
"Contrary to his fun, laid-back persona, Noel is one of TV’s hardest working broadcasters – and now one of its wealthiest."
Earlier this year, Noel admitted he felt like "Tom without Jerry" after Sandi – his former co-host – quit the show.
After Sandi announced she was walking away from the programme to work on other projects, Noel took to Twitter to compare her exit to the animated children’s characters, as well as Rolling Stones band members Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
He wrote on the micro-blogging platform: "I feel like Tom without Jerry ! Mick without a Keef 🙁 gonna miss yooooooooooooooooo and the wonderful times we got to play together in the tent ! Double acts are rare and magical beast and working with you was a pleasure x x x all my love Mr Noel x (sic)"
