Nikki Reed felt "so overwhelmed" after celebrating Christmas with Ian Somerhalder and both of their families.
The 26-year-old actress, who started dating the ‘Vampire Diaries’ star in July following her split from husband Paul McDonald in March, was overjoyed to spend some quality time with him and her brother, Nathan Reed, "on one mountain" after jetting off to Sun Valley, Idaho for the festive period.
The ‘Twilight Saga’ star shared a video clip of Nathan and Ian competing in a dance-off on the slopes on Instagram, with the caption: "When families combine and hearts collide there’s only one thing to do. The butt wiggle. @nathanaugustreed you are a crowned video king- the fact that you did this on your snowboard for two and a half minutes is the best. My brother and my love all in one day, on one mountain – I’m so overwhelmed by all of the beauty that surrounds us. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Love…us."
The 36-year-old actor also shared an adorable photograph of himself and Nikki, and admitted he’s "grateful for all of the love" in his life this year.
He wrote: "The Happiest of holidays to everyone, may nothing but smiles, family time and reflection come from these moments. I’m grateful for all of the love this years for me, us and ISF (Ian Somerhalder Foundation) from everyone – may you empower all around you with the same strength and energy you have to spread positivity and compassion. Nikki previously revealed she was really looking forward to taking her family away for the holidays.
She said: "I want my family to be all together, which I think is going to happen for the first time in a long time.
"I make it a point to do something really special.
"My father and his family, we’ve all gone skiing or last year we went to the Dominican Republic and this year we’re going to back to the snow. It’s a lot of family time."
