Nicola Thorp thanks Corrie fans after cobbles departure

Nicola Thorp has thanked the ‘Coronation Street’ fans for their "love and support" after her character departed the cobbles.
The 29-year-old actress bowed out of Weatherfield in last night’s (13.06.18) show as her alter-ego Nicola Rubinstein moved to Bristol with Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver), but fans have questioned whether she has really gone for good.
Following the double episode, she wrote on Twitter: "Thanks to the cast and crew and everyone at Coronation Street for making the cobbles feel like home this past year. I’m lucky to call you my friends.
Thanks to the audience and fans for all the love and support.
From this Nicola (and the other one) see you later, Weatherfield. (sic)"
But some supporters picked up on the "see you later, Weatherfield" mention in her send-off post, and believe that could mean she will return to the cobbles soon.
One fan wrote: "It says see u later so there’s hope she will return (sic)"
Another posted: "But how will see you later be 2 months, 3 or more (sic)"
But some supporters were devastated to see Nicola leave Weatherfield.
One wrote: "I’m so disappointed you are not on the show anymore! One of the very best new characters in a long time and you are such a talented actress! The show will really miss your talent but I’m sure you will have a brilliant career no matter what you choose to do. (sic)"
Another shared "no way have you actually left you had such an iconic character, will never be forgotten. (sic)"
And one posted: "Oh no no no, please don’t tell me you’re leaving, you’re going to be missed. Loved Nicola. Sad to see you go, please please do come back (sic)"
Nicola and Eileen decided to swap the cobbles for the south west of England after the year from hell, which saw Eileen’s serial killer husband Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) wreak havoc in their lives, including shooting his daughter Nicola.
