Nick Knowles has split with his girlfriend Rebecca Kearns.
The ‘DIY SOS’ star had been dating Rebecca, who is 25 years his junior, for eight months, but has admitted the pair are no longer together as he isn’t "into" dating right now.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: "I’m not into dating, I’m more concerned about spending time with my son in the countryside."
Nick, 55, had struck up a relationship with marketing executive Rebecca, 30, following his acrimonious split from his estranged wife Jessica Rose Moor, who is the mother of his three-year-old son Eddie.
A source added to the publication: "It’s over. Their romance has ended but they have both decided to stay friends. They get on well so there are no hard feelings.
"It just wasn’t meant to be. Nick isn’t down about it though, he’s just wants to focus on his little boy and has thrown himself into work."
The split comes after Jess, also 30, recently moved on 27-year-old RAF engineer William Babbage, after the pair met at her local pub.
An insider said of their new romance: "She is really happy. It’s no secret that at times she has struggled with the split. But she gets on with Will like a house on fire."
Nick was believed to have met up with William, and despite the tensions between him and Jess, he was said to have been "very polite" to her new beau.
The source added: "Nick was very polite. All he cares about is Eddie’s happiness and that he is surrounded by stable people.
"Obviously Nick has done a lot of work with injured soldiers through the military charity Walking with the Wounded so he has a lot of respect for anyone in the Forces.
"He has no problem with William and feels everyone has to move on at some stage."
