Nick Knowles booted from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Nick Knowles has been booted from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The 56-year-old television presenter – who is best known for his work on ‘DIY SOS’ and ‘Who Dares Wins’ – has become the sixth celebrity to leave the infamous jungle, as he lost out on a place in this weekend’s final during Thursday’s (06.12.18) episode of the ITV reality competition.
Nick follows in the footsteps of TV legend Noel Edmonds, ‘Hollyoaks’ star Malique Thompson-Dwyer, ‘Coronation Street’ actress Sair Khan, actress Rita Simons, and ‘The Chase’ quiz brain Anne Hegerty, who have all been kicked out of camp since voting opened last week.
The news will likely come as a shock to many viewers, as Nick was an integral part of the camp life, especially when it came to tasks such as cooking the camp’s meals and tending to the fire.
Nick had also performed well in several Bush Tucker Trials over the course of his time in the jungle, and often seemed unfazed by the creepy crawlies that accompanied him in the tasks.
Speaking to presenters Dec Donnelly and Holly Willoughby upon leaving the camp, Nick – who survived 20 days in the camp – said: "The thing that surprised me was the tough bits you don’t see day to day like lugging the wood up hill.
"When I came in here I wanted to see if a whole bunch of people could get together and make friends."
Now, just five camp mates – Harry Redknapp, Fleur East, Emily Atack, James McVey, and John Barrowman – are left battling it out for a place in Sunday’s (09.12.18) final, where one celebrity will be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.
