Nick Jonas stays on the ‘cutting edge’

Nick Jonas stays "as close to the cutting edge" as possible.
The ‘Jealous’ hitmaker is always trying to experiment and stay creative when it comes to his music as he doesn’t want to fall behind.
He said: "Everything has to evolve, and the world never stops turning. So you have to be aware of the fact that as a creative person, it’s important to stay as close to the cutting edge as you can, because you can fall behind, which is scary."
And the 23-year-old singer is thrilled society is starting to have a "real plane of acceptance" but admits there is still a "long way to go".
He added to Topman magazine: "I think there are a lot of things influencing culture, making people more aware. Anyone can look at some of the negative that’s out there and be aware of the fact that we have a long way to go, but I think we’re moving towards a real plane of acceptance – which is great.
"We’re making progress. Even in hip-hop culture for instance, the lyricists who are breaking through have something real to say, and it’s a broad worldview."
However, there is one thing Nick doesn’t understand about society – why they are so interested in his love life.
The ‘Levels’ singer – who has been romantically linked to Kate Hudson following his split from Olivia Culpo – explained previously: "It definitely sucks. It sort of feels like, on top of dealing with the situation with the person, you have to be thinking about other people’s opinion about it, and without all the information.
"The fact that people were intrigued by a 14 or 15-year-old’s relationships was strange to me. Now I think it makes a bit more sense. I think it’s kind of amusing, people’s interests. But it’s funny, because I think I live a pretty low-key life."
