Nick Grimshaw is set to undergo surgery on his hand today (23.03.16).
The BBC Radio One DJ has been forced to hand over the reigns of his breakfast show to weekend host Dev this morning as he gears up to have pins slotted into his finger on the hospital operating table later on this afternoon.
Taking to his Twitter account last night (22.03.16), the 31-year-old presenter uploaded a photograph of his left hand strapped up and wrote: "Me with my finger injury. I have to have surgery tomorrow morning to have pins hold my finger together *vomits* … sooo @dev_101 will entertain you from 6.30am and I will be entertained by a surgeon. (sic)."
Although it is not been revealed how the wound occurred, it is alleged that a recent night out with ‘Mean Girls’ actress Lindsay Lohan, which saw him performing stunts and tricks under the influence of booze, could have led to the unfortunate event, or an overtly energetic tennis match.
Meanwhile, Nick has had a busy few months recently as he quit his judging role on ‘The X Factor’ earlier this year after just one series in order to free up his weekends.
