Nia Jax honoured to join Total Divas

Nia Jax feels "honoured" to be joining ‘Total Divas’.
The 33-year-old professional wrestler is really excited about joining the E! reality show but admits she was "shocked" when she was asked to join the programme.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s an honour, I was like shocked when they even asked me to interview for it, but the fact that it meant they actually want me on the cast, I was blown away. So it’s been an honour and I’m really enjoying it."
And Nia is looking forward to showing the other side of her.
Asked if her fans will see how she is out of the ring too, she added: "Absolutely. There’ll definitely be, you know, Nia Jax is a little part of who I am, badass bitchy, but when you see me outside the ring, I’m way more outgoing, I’m goofy, I’m loud, I love to have fun, always laughing. Then there’s definitely the other side of me that’s like don’t mess with me, I could definitely … at you."
Nia will be joining the show with fellow wrestlers Alexa Bliss, 25, and Carmella, 29, and Nia loves her close friendship with Alexa.
She said: "Well obviously, my best friend Alexa Bliss … I’m so glad we’re getting the chance to show, you have been able to see a bit of our friendship on WWE, but we truly are best friends, we’re not just for show, we’ve been friends since I got to NXT, so she’s obviously my favourite cast member to be around.
"You’ll see just how goofy we are, our little inside jokes, the dynamics of us, I treat her like she’s like my little kid sometimes cause she’s so young and I’m like very protective of her, and she’s like such a little spicy, little sassy thing, so she’s my favourite."
However, Nia has teased fans will get a chance to see her square up to Lana as they "know how to push each other’s buttons".
She shared: "Well, with all the cast I pretty much get along with everybody, but Lana and I, we get along well, but we know how to push each other’s buttons. So it’s definitely like, Lana and I were kinda hotheads, but at the same time she’s my girl. I call her delusionally crazy but I still love her. You’ll see a little side of that when we bite each other’s heads off which will be funny."
Nia was speaking ahead of ‘SummerSlam’ which airs live on 20 August on WWE Network, sign up for your first month free.
WWE Live returns to the UK this November, tickets available at www.bookingsdirect.com.
