Neil Jones still not sure if he’ll be fit to return to Strictly Come Dancing

Neil Jones still "doesn’t know" if he will be fit enough to dance on tomorrow’s (09.11.19) ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The pro dancer has been forced to miss the last two weeks of live shows with his celebrity partner Alex Scott after suffering an excruciating calf injury, but he won’t know if he has been passed fit by the physio or not until later today (08.11.19).
He said: "I’m really hoping. I still don’t know.
"I’ve been dancing a lot today. I’ve been doing that. It’s been feeling good, but I need to be passed by the physio."
Kevin Clifton has stepped in for Neil in the last two shows, and Alex has been rehearsing with both this week just in case.
Speaking in a joint interview on ‘Strictly – It Takes Two’, she added: "I’ve been dancing with both, and Neil will make the decision.
"If he’s 100 per cent, I know he will go out there and dance. Actually, I just want to say how frustrating it’s been for Neil.
"Just hearing everybody speak about me dancing with Kev, and this guy is amazing! I want to be at the level that I’m at with him right now.
"Whether I’m dancing with Neil or I’m dancing with Kev, they are both amazing guys."
Earlier in the week, Neil admitted he is feeling "positive" about returning to ‘Strictly’ this weekend.
He tweeted: "Most people don’t like Monday’s but I do… that’s because I get to teach
@AlexScott a NEW DANCE!!!! #teamred #Strictly (sic)"
He later added to a follower: "It’s positive at the moment but still I need to see"
Neil also rejected speculation he could quit the Latin and ballroom show entirely, and confirmed he’s "getting better each day".
