Natalie Hughes is ‘glad’ she was fired from The Apprentice

Natalie Hughes was "glad" she was fired from ‘The Apprentice’.
The 30-year-old entrepreneur has become the second contestant to leave the hit BBC programme during Thursday’s episode (13.10.16) after failing to impress Lord Sugar with her work output during this week’s challenge, and she has admitted she is pleased with the outcome because she wasn’t enjoying the "process".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz after her departure, Natalie said: "I wanted to go, so I was glad I got fired. I didn’t really like the process.
"It was quite scary, I wasn’t intimidated or anything but it was very overwhelming. Everyone was nervous and stuff, I felt quiet uncomfortable and wanted to get out of there and get home."
Tonight’s episode was the first time the show has seen six contestants return to the boardroom, after he decided neither teams performed well enough to win the task.
Lord Sugar revealed he brought both Project Managers, Mukai, who returned with JD and Karthik by her side, as well as Jessica, who picked Natalie and Alana to be in the firing line with her, because he was disappointed with Mukai and Jessica’s lack of leadership skills.
Speaking on the programme about his decision, the business mogul explained: "Normally, in this task, I make the decision as to which of those were the best. Well I tell you what. I am not putting my name to either of those advertising campaigns. They’re useless both totally, absolutely useless. I feel so angry that not one of you geniuses came through and ran this thing properly.
"Jessica, you shouldn’t have been the project manager. And Alana, I see you struggling there."
The 69 year old ultimately decided Natalie was the one to leave the competition because he struggled to "come to grips" with her.
He said: "I am finding it very difficult to come to grips with you, Natalie. Someone who as I’ve understood from the last two years has not done much.
"For a potential business partner of mine, Natalie, you’ve been a bit quiet; you’ve not been pushing yourself forward. It is regretful that this is only the second week but Natalie, you’re fired."
Natalie opened up about her ‘uncomfortable’ experience inside the Boardroom.
In spite of her exit Natalie praised the show and Lord Sugar.
She said: "He was lovely, he’s just Lord Sugar, very outspoken he speaks the truth."
