Nadine Mulkerrin: Working with fiancé is best thing about Hollyoaks

Nadine Mulkerrin says the "best thing" about working on ‘Hollyoaks’ is hanging out with her fiance Rory Douglas-Speed.
The couple got engaged in December and the 25-year-old star loves spending time with the 26-year-old hunk on and off set, but also admits she is "very lucky" to have been blessed with such "brilliant storylines" on the Channel 4 soap.
She said: "The best thing about working on the ‘Hollyoaks’ set is hanging out with the likes of Rory and everyone I get to work with.
"I’m always being challenged with brilliant storylines, so I consider myself a very lucky girl."
While Nadine and Rory are going strong, the same cannot be said for their characters’ romance after Cleo McQueen and Joel Dexter surprisingly split last year.
And Cleo now looks to be moving on with Mitchell Deveraux, who is played by ‘Hollyoaks’ newcomer Imran Adams, after Nadine admitted the pair have a "bright future".
She said: "I think Mitchell and Cleo have a bright future ahead its exciting.
"I know the fans will be sad for #Cleoj to be over, but Cleo and Joel have been through quite a lot and never quite seem to figure it out, so maybe she needs a new man in her life, and I think Mitchell is a good egg and from a lovely family so he could be what she needs.
"I love working with Imran, he’s such a great addition to the cast."
Nadine was left "impressed" with Imran’s first scene, which involved him having to strip off.
She said: "Bless Imran, his first scene for ‘Hollyoaks’ was a strip tease.
"That was quite impressive. If you can come to ‘Hollyoaks’ and get your clothes off straight away then I’m impressed."
