Alice Cooper is to voice the children's tale 'Peter and Wolf in Hollywood'.
The 67-year-old rocker will do the voiceovers of all of the characters in the new version of Prokofiev's classic, from the birds to the menacing wolf.
The 'School's Out' hitmaker admitted doing the story has been great for him because it's the first time he has done something "new" in over 50 years and it also took him back to his childhood.
He recalled: "I first heard this back in Detroit, when I was six or seven years old. My mum put the record on and I was instantly transported to another world. And it has been huge fun for me to do something new after nearly 50 years in the business."
Alice also loves how the story has been transformed from the original, especially now that Peter is not scared of the wolf.
He added: "I love the fact that it's moved on, and that Peter has come to Los Angeles to meet his grandfather, who turns out to be an old hippie!
"That gives the story a fresh dynamic. And I like that he's not in the least bit terrified by the wolf, when everybody else is freaking out."
The story has been created by New York-based production company Giants Are Small and is co-directed by live animation masters Doug Fitch and Edouard Getaz.

'Lose it All' is the first music project for Beyonce since 2013.
The full track will be released tonight and Naughty Boy has been counting down the hours with a number of posts on social media.
He wrote on Twitter yesterday (16.09.15): "33 hours... @Beyonce @ArrowBenjamin #LoseItAll (sic)"
Meanwhile, the pair have formed a firm friendship since writing the track.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Beyonce played a major role in the talks with Naughty Boy and they have formed a close friendship.
"She shares [Jay Z's] belief in Naughty Boy's talents and has expressed an interest in working on a track together."

Ellie Goulding considers her new album 'Delirium' to be an "experiment".
The 28-year-old singer is set to release her third studio album on November 6 and has promised she's taken her music to "another level", following the success of 2012's 'Halcyon'.
Ellie, whose new single 'On My Mind' is released today (17.09.15), said: "A part of me views this album as an experiment - to make a big pop album.
"I made a conscious decision that I wanted it to be on another level."
The eagerly-awaited new album has been written and recorded in the UK, Sweden and the US, and is said to reflect its globe-spanning creation process.
Meanwhile, Ellie revealed the album title relates to all that she's been through until this point in her life and career.
She said: "It can be describing a really happy, crazy state, or it can be the complete opposite. I'm constantly in a state of delirium."
The British star has collaborated with the likes of One Republic's Ryan Tedder, Klas Ahlund and Disclosure's Guy Lawrence on her new album, while she also continued her successful partnership with her long-time writing partner Jim Eliot.

Ed Sheeran is to release his first concert film 'Jumpers for Goalposts' next month.
A special cinema event will take place on Thursday (22.10.15) and will be broadcast live via satellite in cinemas around the globe from the world premiere on London's Leicester Square, which will include an exclusive live performance from the 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker with the film being screened in full.
'Jumpers for Goalposts' will feature performances from the biggest shows of his career, including a sold out Wembley Stadium gig in July 2015 where he performed to 80,000 fans playing his hits including 'The A Team', 'Sing' and 'Don't' - and a surprise duet from Sir Elton John.
The film will tell the story of Ed's triumphant journey and will give fans a chance to see behind the scenes of one of the biggest-selling pop artists of all time and the people around him.
The multi-award-winning musician announced the news on Thursday morning (17.09.15) via Twitter and teased fans by saying he had something to reveal.
He wrote: "Announcement (sic)."
Tickets for local participating cinemas will begin to go on sale from Thursday September 24 at www.edsheeranmovie.com.

Bastille are stuck on what to name their second LP.
The indie rock band gained commercial acclaim with their 2013 debut record 'Bad Blood' and have since released EPs 'Laura Palmer' and 'Haunt' but they are taking extra care over the name of their forthcoming studio album.
Speaking about the name of the almost finished record, bass player Kyle Simmons exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "No, still working on that.
"We just want to get a feel for it. You can't really name it until it's finished I don't think. Because until it's finished you don't really know how it's going to be. We'll see."
He added: "It's pretty much written and we're going to spend the next couple of months locking it down."
The group - consisting of Kyle, Dan Smith, Will Farquarson and Chris Wood - have explored a new guitar lead and hip-hop sound on their next musical offering.
And playing the new tracks 'Hangin', 'Blame' and 'Snakes' at Reading festival in Berkshire, South East England, last month was an "important" moment for them.
Kyle - who attended the launch of Destiny The Taken King on Monday (14.09.15) - said: "We knew how important it [Reading] was because obviously we've been playing a bunch of new songs. It was nice to have a home crowd listening to those and enjoying them."
Meanwhile, the 'Pompeii' hitmakers felt confident to explore new influences because of the success of their debut album.
Frontman Dan said previously: "If we don't do exactly what we did last time, we might be seen as a bit of a failure, but there is no point caring about that because there is nothing we can do about it.
"We just wanted to wear our influences a lot more obviously. So if we were gesturing towards a hip hop beat then we sampled a hip hop beat, whereas on the first album we might have hid that a bit more."

Lionel Richie will launch his Las Vegas residency next year.
The 66-year-old singer has revealed he's heading to Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort in Nevada next April to takeover the AXIS stage for his 'Lionel Richie -- All the Hits' show.
Announcing his residency on Wednesday (16.09.15), Lionel said: "I'm so excited to begin my residency at Planet Hollywood. I can't wait to share 'All the Hits, All Night Long' with all of my fans - it's a high energy show that is a perfect match for such a vibrant city!"
Lionel will play 20 shows spread across two sections, April and May, and September and October, when he'll perform his well-loved hits 'All Night Long', 'Hello', 'Stuck On You', 'Dancing On The Ceiling', and 'Say You, Say Me.'
The singer-songwriter admitted his decision to sign the deal for Las Vegas came after a discussion with his son Miles.
He told the LA Times newspaper: "My 21-year-old son, I said to him, ''Miles, what do you think about me playing Vegas?'' He said, ''Oh, my God, dad, that'd be the coolest thing in the world!' 'So it's just time."
He added: "And it's a perfect place to try out new material, to get close to what's going on in the business."
Lionel will join the likes of Britney Spears, who has just extended her residency for another two years, Celine Dion, Sir Elton John and Jennifer Lopez.
'Lionel Richie -- All the Hits' will kick off on April 27, 2016.

Graham Gouldman is up for the Icon Award at this year's BMI London Awards.
The 10cc singer/songwriter will receive the gong at the annual ceremony held at London's Dorchester Hotel next month and is "honoured" to be joining the long list of past honourees which include Peter Gabriel, Ray Davies, Steve Winwood, Van Morrison and Sir Tim Rice, who won last year.
On the achievement, Gouldman said: "I am very proud to be the recipient of this year's Icon award presented by BMI with whom I have had a very long and happy relationship. I am also aware of the long list of previous recipients and am honoured to be joining their ranks. I look forward to many more years of our association."
The BMI Icon title is given to songwriters who have had "a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers".
BMI Executive Director, Brandon Baskshi said: "Graham Gouldman is a musical force whose legendary catalog has had a massive international impact on pop music for five decades and counting.
"Both his remarkable creative contributions as a long-time songwriter and member of the beloved band 10cc and his success penning hits for iconic bands of the 60s, define Graham as a true BMI Icon. We're extremely proud to honour him for his artistry and undeniable influence in shaping the genre."
The legendary songwriter has been responsible for contributing to the careers of worldwide pop artists, including Paul Carrack, Gary Barlow, the late Kirsty MacColl and McFly.
And is noted for writing hit songs for his band 10cc, such as their Ivor Novello award-winning single 'I'm Not In Love'.
The British rock band still tour the world and Graham also continues to write with his last solo effort the much-lauded LP 'Love and Work' released in 2012.
The awards will be held in London on October 19.

Guy Garvey is releasing his debut solo LP 'Courting The Squall'.
The Elbow frontman has taken time away from his bandmates - Craig Potter, Richard Jupp, Mark Potter, Pete Turner - to write an LP entirely himself with the help of his "favourite" musicians outside of his group.
He said: "Elbow graciously gave me some time to write a solo album. I've wanted to try for years and I'm really proud of it. 'Solo' because I wrote everything but I was far from alone. I invited my favourite players outside of Elbow (many of them also my favourite people) and we moved fast, drank a lot and had what can only be described as a massive laugh along the way."
The 41-year-old Mancunian loves fronting Elbow but admitted he would like to be the "boss" for a while.
He added: "I love being in the honest and even-handed democracy that is Elbow, but I fancy being the boss for a bit, so I'm going to do a side-project. It will either be great, and a right laugh, or a disaster, and a right laugh. I don't know what to call it. I don't like the term 'solo project', because it won't be that - I'll be inviting friends to play on it. I'll let the name pick itself as it progresses."
'Courting The Squall' features members of I Am Kloot and The Whip and will be released on October 30.
Guy will head out on a small run of UK tour dates in support of his solo effort.
