Sigala has been inundated by music fans who have told him they prefer his single 'Easy Love' to the original Jackson 5 song it's based on.
The British DJ-and-producer has risen to the top of the UK singles chart with his monster hit - which is based on a sample from classic Motown track 'ABC' and features an 11-year-old Michael Jackson on lead vocals when it was released in February 1970.
Sigala insists the feedback he's had on his song has been universally positive and he hasn't had any hardcore Jackson fans complaining about his re-working of the tune.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Sigala said: "Do you what? All I've had is people come up to me to tell me they don't like the original but they like my new version. I was told the other day that my version has gone higher in the charts than the original actually did which I think is absolutely amazing. I just assumed the original was a number one but it actually only got to like to number eight."
Sigala - real name Bruce Fielder - got to meet Tito Jackson at his studio and was thrilled when the Jackson Five star gave 'Easy Love' his seal of approval.
The electronic musician insists he was never nervous about sampling such an iconic hit as 'ABC' when he was creating his song but only because he didn't think it would become such a huge hit.
He explained: "I wasn't nervous about it, but I didn't realise it would become this monster of a tune so I didn't think about it at all, I just thought it would be a giggle and just did it."
Recalling his meeting with Tito, 61, he said: "Tito was actually working in the same building as me and he had heard about the song but he hadn't actually heard it so we thought it would be really cool to set up a little meeting. We did and he loved the track. We actually approached them (The Jacksons) really early on just to make sure we could sample the track - I've heard some horror stories about artists using samples and basing their whole song or campaign around it and then it doesn't work out. We were lucky to get clearance on it really early on."
'Easy Love' is available to download and stream now and the video can be viewed on YouTube and Vevo.

Duran Duran say One Direction remind them of themselves.
The English rock legends believe the 'Little Things' hitmakers - who recently announced their decision to take an extended hiatus after five years of unstoppable pop success - may be following in their footsteps as the group's current career struggles appear to resemble the ones they faced 30 years ago.
Singer Simon Le Bon, 56, told The Daily Star newspaper: "I see a lot of us in One Direction.
"Duran were one of the first bands where everybody knew each member since The Beatles. Then you have the 1D member who is smoking dope in the back of a car, one member who leaves to live a so-called 'normal life'. It's a rerun of things that we did."
The four-piece - consisting of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - announced they were separating for at least a year to work on solo projects.
The decision came several weeks after their former bandmate Zayn Malik announced his shock departure from the group, which was formed five years ago on 'The X Factor', in March.
Meanwhile, Duran Duran - who have never disbanded but have had a new line-up numerous times - believe their own success would be the same had they emerged today.
Keyboardist Nick Rhodes, 53, explained: "We are by nature survivors, that is patently obvious by the fact that we are here 35 years later. I think we would have fared very well in today's world."
Duran Duran - consisting of Simon, Nick, John Taylor and Roger Taylor - will kick off their UK arena tour in November and their new album 'Paper Gods' is out today (11.09.15).

The Libertines were forced to postpone their gig at the last minute in London last night (10.09.15) after Pete Doherty went missing.
The indie rock band left fans waiting for three hours at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, before announcing the show will be rescheduled due to a "medical emergency".
A spokesman told the crowd, who began to throw plastic cups at the stage, that the show will be rearranged for a later date.
He said: "Due to an emergency - a medical situation - tonight's show is being postponed. I say postponed because I mean postponed, not cancelled."
Rumours later began to swirl online that lead singer Pete, who is known for his drug abuse, had failed to turn up to the show and had locked himself in a Wetherspoon's toilet.
One person wrote on Twitter: "If Pete Doherty actually turns out to be locked in a Wetherspoons toilet the humour will kill me."
Another added: "Libertines have lost Pete Doherty how do you lose a person."
Before another said: "Pete Doherty is just on a mad bender."
Pete's rumoured disappearance came on the same day the band were set to release their album 'Anthem For Doomed Youth', their first in just over a decade.
The four-piece have also decided to postpone their show at The Ritz in Manchester, which was initially scheduled to take place tonight (11.09.15).
The band - consisting of Pete, Carl Barat, John Hassall and Gary Powell - later took to their official Facebook page to apologise for the cancellations.
The statement read: "Peter, Carl, John and Gary apologise whole heartedly to their fans and will reschedule both shows as soon as possible."

Charli XCX has penned songs for Rihanna's delayed album.
The 'Boom Clap' hitmaker is helping out the 'Four Five Seconds' singer who is struggling to get her eighth album out through a lack of good quality material and the British star was more than happy to help out her "favourite pop girl" with her LP.
She revealed: "I'm a really big Rihanna fan and I think she's such an incredible artist. She's my favourite pop girl. She's the real deal. I've actually been to a couple of writing sessions for Rihanna's new record. It was really fun to put together a couple of tracks."
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old brunette beauty also shared that Hilton Hotel's heiress Paris Hilton inspired for her own album, the follow-up to 2014's 'Sucker' and she thinks her one-hit-wonder 'Stars Are Blind' is "pop genius".
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's definitely the most electronic pop sound I've done. I've been really inspired by Paris Hilton, small dogs and a glitter, luxe lifestyle.
"I've never met Paris before, but we were both at the amFAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival this year.
"I was performing and I saw her singing along to my song and I freaked out.
"I'm such a fan and one of my favourite songs ever is Stars Are Blind - it's pop genius."

Charli XCX had tampons thrown at her while performing in London on Thursday (10.09.15).
The Boom Clap hitmaker was showered with several of the feminine hygiene products during her hour-long set but seemed thrilled to receive the absorbent items, waving them around and putting one down her shorts.
The 23-year-old star previously revealed she wished to launch her own range but was stopped from doing so because of health and safety issues.
She explained: "I really wanted to make tampon merch. That was a dream of mine for a really long time - to have tampons that say 'Sucker' on the side and 'Pussy Power' on the box. But it's a health issue if someone's going to put it in their vagina."
But the odd incident didn't overshadow the rest of the concert at Red Bull Studios Future Underground which saw her play several tracks from her 2015 album 'Sucker' including fan favourites 'Boom Clap' and 'Break the Rules'.
Dressed in tiny gym shorts and a red cropped T-shirt, Charli writhed around the stage while simulating oral sex and encouraging audience members to lift their middle fingers in the air for the title track from her recent record.
However, the show was one of the final opportunities to see her before she retreats to the studio to work on her next record as well as tracks for other artists, having recently penned songs for Selena Gomez and Rihanna.
She told the crowd: "This is going to be my last headline show here in the UK this year."

Example believes the album is dying out in electronic music.
The 'One More Day (Stay with Me)' hitmaker is currently putting the finishing touches to his sixth studio LP but he thinks the format will cease to be important in that genre of music in the future because fans just want big singles.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Nando's Music Exchange launch party in London on Thursday night (09.09.15), he said: "There are acts out there now who haven't even released their first album yet who are smashing it. I mean look at Sigma, they've had like three number ones, I think they've released six or seven singles in the last year, so they're absolutely killing it globally - bookings everywhere, DJ sets, live shows and you know for maybe some die-hard fans there's some demand for an album, maybe for other people they don't care, they just want more singles.
"But as an artist I think sometimes you want to release an album, but you know, if I was Sigma right now I'd just think what's the point, just keep doing more singles."
However, Example does think the album will continue to thrive among rock fans because they still appreciate the long-player format and want to invest in a musical "story".
The rapper - who attended the bash with his wife Erin McNaught -added: "I think rock bands definitely will, maybe singer/songwriters will, but electronic acts - even though there's a lot of electronic acts out there who want to tell a story over the course of an album - I think most electronic music fans don't really care. You know, for drum and bass and house, the fans just want to pick their favourite songs and put them in an album with their other favourite songs. Whereas with rock acts, I think people still want to listen to the whole album and see what the story is, they want to buy into it.
"I'm not frustrated by it, I'm cool, but it is a case that I'm trying to second guess what the next move is, but I'm just focused right now on putting out good songs that I'm proud of, that I'm a fan of and that I think I'd want to hear."
Example is working with restaurant chain Nando's and London live venue Roundhouse on the music initiative, which has been set up to support up and coming young musicians in the UK.

Leona Lewis' new album is extremely emotional.
The 30-year-old singer has gone through upheaval in her personal and professional life - including changing record companies - since shooting to fame after winning 'The X Factor' in 2006 and says her new album 'I Am' reflects this.
Speaking on chat show 'Lorraine', she said: "The new album is from the heart and I put all my emotions out there and I've written a lot about what's been going on in the past two years with me, so it's a very empowering tone in the whole record.
"I've experienced a lot and gone through a lot and I've been able to write with some of the most top, amazing singers.
"The past 10 years have gone by in a flash. Also because so many things have happened, I feel like I've experienced so much in that time."
Leona also revealed that she enjoyed having the freedom to write what she wanted when she was in between record labels, after leaving Simon Cowell's label, Syco and signing with Island Records.
She explained: "I'm really happy, I wrote most of the album with one person and then a few other amazing writers contributed as well so really when I started making the album I went out on my own and because I had stepped away from my label and was kind of in between, thinking what I should do and where I should go next and I started writing and this album just quickly came together."

Grace Jones has slammed pop stars including Miley Cyrus, Beyonce Knowles and Nicki Minaj for imitating her.
The 67-year-old singer blasted a number of today's stars calling them "middle of the road" performers on the "way to nowhere".
In an excerpt from her new autobiography 'I'll Never Write My Memoirs', released via Time Out, she said: "They dress up as though they are challenging the status quo, but by now, wearing those clothes, pulling those faces, revealing those tattoos and breasts, singing to those fractured, spastic, melting beats - that is the status quo.
"You are not off the beaten track, pushing through the thorny undergrowth, finding treasure no one has come across before. You are in the middle of the road. You are really in Vegas wearing the sparkly full-length gown singing to people who are paying to see you but are not really paying attention. If that is what you want, fine, but it's a road to nowhere."
Calling out the stars for trying to be like her, she said: "Trends come along and people say, 'Follow that trend'. There's a lot of that around at the moment: 'Be like Sasha Fierce (Beyonce). Be like Miley Cyrus. Be like Rihanna. Be like Lady Gaga. Be like Rita Ora and Sia. Be like Madonna.' I cannot be like them - except to the extent that they are already being like me.
"I have been so copied by those people who have made fortunes that people assume I am that rich. But I did things for the excitement, the dare, the fact that it was new, not for the money, and too many times I was the first, not the beneficiary."
"The problem with... the Nicki Minajs and Mileys is that they reach their goal very quickly. There is no long-term vision, and they forget that once you get into that whirlpool then you have to fight the system that solidifies around you in order to keep being the outsider you claim you represent."

Take That closed the 'Wear the Rose Live' event with a greatest hits set at The O2 in London on Thursday night (09.09.15).
The three-piece band thrilled the 20,000 strong crowd of rugby and music fans - which included the likes of McFly's Harry Judd, Richard Hammond, Jodie Kidd and Vanessa White from The Saturdays - with a career-spanning performance put on in support of England's rugby team as they enter the World Cup later this month.
Mark Owen belted out fan favourite 'Shine' as the band's opener, backed by bandmates Gary Barlow and Howard Donald and accompanied by a 48-piece orchestra.
Next Gary lent his vocals to 'Patience', followed by 'These Days' and a few back catalogue hits like 'Rule The World' and 'Back for Good'.
Rugby's favourite songstress, soprano Laura Wright, sang a moving rendition of the hymn 'Jerusalem', prior to the boy band's show closing set and Ella Eyre buoyed the arena with two separate appearances on stage.
She sang 'Together' and later the official England Rugby anthem, 'Swing Low, Sweet Chariot'.
Compere Vernon Kay introduced the England squad and coaches throughout the evening and urged the crowd to "make them giants" and tweet their support with the hashtag #WearTheRose.
Vernon said: "Rugby has become the epitome of what sports stands for. Supporting the England Rugby Team is what #WearTheRose is all about, it could mean putting a flag in your window of your front room, putting a flag on top of your chimney staff. Or changing your Facebook page. No matter who you are, what you're trying to achieve. Having someone in your corner, showing their support towards you makes a massive, massive difference."
