Nick Jonas is "not sure" if he will collaborate with his brother Joe's new band DNCE.
The 'Levels' hitmaker - who found fame in The Jonas Brothers with siblings Kevin and Joe - doesn't appear too keen on the idea of a mini reunion with his sibling because he thinks it's "important" for them to spend time apart to be "excited" for their individual projects.
Asked if he sees them joining forces musically in the future, he told Entertainment Weekly: "As far as collaborations, I'm not sure. It's important for both of us to support each other and be excited for each other, but give each other that space as well to do our own thing. We're both conscious of that. We want [to] win together, even if it's doing different projects."
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old singer revealed details of his sophomore record and that he thinks lead single 'Levels' is a "good introduction" to the sound of the album, which he has been "digging deep" into different influences for.
He said: "Levels' is a good introduction to the next step. I think [the album will] go even a bit further with some more soul and R&B sounds, even hip hop influences in there. I'm really just digging deep."
And on when to expect his LP he hinted that it could be released early next year.
He added: "We have not picked a date officially yet, but we have a sense. It's going to be at some point early next year, so probably the end of February or early March."

Harry Styles was "distracted" keeping an eye on his sister's date at the Apple Music Festival.
The 21-year-old star joked he was busy watching his older sibling Gemma's new man as One Direction took to the stage at the The Roundhouse in London last night (22.09.15).
He said: "Sorry if I seem a little distracted. My sister is on a date. They're up there somewhere ... behave yourself.
Meanwhile, the group also joked they were "dropping like flies" when Niall Horan disappeared from the stage. His disappearance prompted the other three members - Harry, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - to jest about losing a second band member following Zayn Malik's departure earlier this year.
When they noticed he'd disappeared, Harry said: "We've lost another one! We're dropping like flies!"
Whilst Louis added: "We're like Take That."
Niall made his return and the 'Night Changes' hitmakers carried on with their electric set, exciting the crowd with fan favourites including 'What Makes You Beautiful' and 'Little Things' as well as their newer offerings, 'Drag Me Down' and 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go'.
And it wasn't just their young fans who enjoyed the show - Selena Gomez, Suki Waterhouse, Bella Hadid and Stella McCartney were also in attendance.
Niall later apologised for his disappearing act, admitting the heat was making him feel ill.
He told the crowd: "Sorry about that earlier - the heat seems to be getting me and I didn't feel very well. So God knows how you all feel down there [on the floor] ...
"But thank you so much for having us - we've had a cracking time."
The chart-topping boy band rounded off their set with a rendition of 'Best Song Ever,' giving the 2000-strong audience a great end to a memorable evening.

Take That are recording new music.
The band - which comprises of founding members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald - are working hard in the studio on four new tracks for their upcoming album that is set to include hits from their 25-year-run.
However, 'Shine' crooner Mark Owen insisted it won't be a "Greatest Hits" record because that would signal "the end".
Speaking backstage at the Apple Music Festival on Sunday (20.09.15) Mark told The Sun newspaper: "We have the songs to fill it, no problem.
"But a Greatest Hits signals the end, doesn't it? It's nice to work."
The trio have no plans to slow down.
They performed a number of gigs in London in recent weeks including a sell out concert at the O2 Arena for the Rugby World Cup celebration 'Wear The Rose' and a "thank you" concert for their fans at the Apple Music Festival at The Roundhouse venue on Sunday night.
'Relight My Fire', 'Rule The World' and 'Never Forget' featured across both sets and saw fans singing back every word.
Take That will release an album in 2017 to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of their first album, Take That & Party'.

Demi Lovato says Justin Bieber has "changed for the best".
The former Disney star is proud of how Justin, 21, who has previously been in trouble with the police and been blasted for his attitude, has grown up over the past year as she knows how hard it is being a young performer in the public eye.
Demi, 23, who is close friends with Justin's ex Selena Gomez, 23, explained: "I think everyone's got the fever again. Good for him. He's really changed for the best. The hardest thing is growing up in this industry. I went through it and the thing is, when you hit a certain amount of success you also still have to figure out how to be a teenager. It's the most confusing time in anyone's life."
Demi also praised her pal Iggy Azalea and singer and actress Jennifer Lopez as women she looks up to.
Speaking to Rickie, Melvin and Charlie on KISS FM Breakfast, she said: I'm really close with Iggy. She's awesome. I love her and Jennifer Lopez. She's incredible. She's a woman that I look up to and not as Jennifer Lopez, but as a business woman. She's had to run her business. She's so talented and she's a boss. I told her just recently. I was like, 'You are boss with the biggest heart.'"

David Bowie is set to release his first TV theme in 20 years for 'The Last Panthers'.
The 'Space Oddity' singer has recorded an original piece of music that's both "dark" and "beautiful", which will feature in the opening credits of the European crime thriller and was a collaboration between himself and acclaimed director Johan Renck - who has worked with Madonna, Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey in the past.
Renck has praised Bowie for making something that "embodied the series".
In a statement, Renck said: "I was looking for one of the icons of my youth to write the music for the title sequence, but was presented with a God. His first response was precise, engaged and curious.
"The piece of music he laid before us embodied every aspect of our characters and the series itself - dark, brooding, beautiful and sentimental (in the best possible incarnation of this word).
"All along, the man inspired and intrigued me and as the process passed, I was overwhelmed with his generosity. I still can't fathom what actually happened..."
Bowie's last TV theme was for BBC 2 series 'The Buddha of Suburbia' in 1993, which hit Number 35 in the UK singles chart.
'The Last Panthers' is a six-part series set in dark heart of Europe and follows a shadowy alliance of gangsters who have taken over and stars BAFTA winner Samantha Morton and Golden Globe winner John Hurt.
The series will be aired later this year.

Ryan Adams and Taylor Swift are up for collaborating on music together.
The 40-year-old singer/songwriter released his own version of the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker's '1989' LP on Monday (21.09.15) and now both stars have revealed they'd been in the studio together in the past and would be up for joining forces once more.
Speaking on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 Show, Taylor said: "We have written together before. We wrote together once and it was amazing. Like I know what his studio is like, I know what his vibe is like. I've seen him create music. It's very much on the sly, ad lib. You (Ryan) create music really quickly. You get this bolt of lightning and Ryan is just off making the song happen."
Asked if they would be up for working together the blonde beauty said she is "open to anything collaborative" with Ryan and the feeling is "mutual".
She responded: "We haven't talked about it but I am open to anything honestly. I've been such a huge fan of Ryan and what he stands for and he has been like my own markers on my life with his songs. So I am open to anything collaborative."
Ryan added: "It's mutual. She's amazing."
The 'Blank Space' singer also found listening to Ryan's re-imagining of her LP "magical" because she could imagine how he recorded it, having been to his studio PAX-AM in Los Angeles.
Taylor added: "And so that's one thing that really made it special to listen to this album because I can kind of visualise how he probably recorded it. And I've been in those rooms before and it just made it even more magical."

Roger Waters doesn't like Pink Floyd's last album 'The Endless River'.
The band's ex-bass player and founder has listened to his former group's 2014 LP but he didn't enjoy the music David Gilmour and Nick Mason recorded.
Asked for if he likes 'The Endless River', he said: "No, but that's - that's so what. There's an awful lot of records that I hear that I don't like."
Although the 72-year-old musician hasn't been in the prog rock band for over 30 years, he thinks guitarist Gilmour made the "right decision" not to make any new Pink Floyd music following the last album's release.
He told Rolling Stone magazine: "I think that he's making the right decision (laughs). I mean, it's nothing to do with me; they do what they want. Yeah, except I guess the legacy's got something to do with me. It's none of my business. Anything they do, after I left, has absolutely nothing to do with me. It's none of my business."
Gilmour has just released his fourth solo album 'Rattle That Lock', while Mason has expressed interest in working with Waters again on new songs.

Adele is in talks for an hour-long TV special to launch her new album.
The 'Skyfall' hitmaker's eagerly awaited third LP is due out in November and rather than carry out endless interviews to promote her return to music, Adele wants a show dedicated to her.
According to The Sun newspaper, the 27-year-old superstar has already had preliminary discussions with the BBC about making a programme to air at the same time her album is released.
A source said: "Adele is simply too big just to be part of a green room of guests on a chat show. She deserves her own dedicated programme where the spotlight will only be on her. It's not like she desperately needs the publicity but you can't turn your nose up at that level of exposure."
The BBC has a long history of creating special programming with artists.
Way back in 1997 Oasis made the documentary 'Right Here, Right Now' about the recording and release of their third album 'Be Here Now', while more recently in 2013 the corporation dedicated a host of programming to Take That star Gary Barlow ahead of the release of his solo album 'Since I Saw You Last'.
The Grammy-awarding-winning artist took a break from the music business following the birth of her son Angelo - her child with long-term partner Simon Konecki - was born on 19 October 2012.
Her last album, 2011 release '21', has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
