Muse want Glastonbury 2016 gig

Muse want to headline Glastonbury next year.
The 'Supermassive Blackhole' hitmakers wish they could perform at the iconic music event every summer, but are particularly keen to top the bill while promoting latest album 'Drones'.
Bassist Chris Wolstenholme said: "I think we would play Glasto every year if we could. It's probably the best festival in the world.
"We're all hoping we get to do it on this album. It's been a while."
This year, the band headlined heavy metal festival Download and enjoyed being able to show off their early influences and prove they were a suitable choice for the event.
Chris added: "I thought it was great. We've always felt that there's a very heavy side to the band.
"Our early influences were all heavy rock bands and some of those influences still remain, so, for us, we weren't the left-field choice some people thought we were."
The trio recently performed an intimate stripped-back gig at London's Electric Ballroom venue and found playing such a small show had a "stronger energy" to their stadium concerts.
Chris told Q magazine: "The Ballroom was awesome. Sometimes it's nice to strip away all the production because it brings all of the focus of the room to the band. There's definitely a stronger energy and it's nice to have the crowd so close to us."

Sam Smith makes UK chart history

Sam Smith has made UK chart history with his new James Bond theme.
The 23-year-old singer is "so proud" that 'Writing's On The Wall' from the upcoming film 'Spectre' has become the first Bond track ever to reach number one after it achieved combined chart sales and streams of 70,000 copies.
He told OfficialCharts.com: "It was such an honour to be asked to write and record 'Writing's On The Wall' and it's incredible that it's become the first Number 1 Bond theme song. It's been an unforgettable experience working with Barbara [Broccoli] and Sam [Mendes] to become part of this British legacy. I couldn't have done this without my fans - this is a special moment I'll never forget."
The previous highest-charting Bond themes were Adele's 'Skyfall' in 2012 and Duran Duran's 'View To A Kill' in 1985, which both peaked at number two.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1 after the news was announced, the British star added: "Out of all the songs I've brought out in my life, I was not expecting this to even chart in the top 10, let alone number one. It's unbelievable."
The full music video for the track will be unveiled by Sam, who sold 13,000 more units than his closest competitor, Justin Bieber's 'What Do You Mean?,' at 00.07am on Monday (05.10.15) in honour of Global James Bond Day.

Ellie Goulding: Fame is hard

Ellie Goulding thinks fame has a dark side.
The 'Explosions' hitmaker credits her close friends for keeping her from "crumbling" under the pressures of the industry.
She told Glamour magazine: "I do think that if I hadn't had my manager or my friends around me, I could have crumbled very quickly. But anyone who is famous has probably wanted to be famous. It doesn't happen accidentally.
"So when you find out that it's not as pretty as it looks, I feel like that's almost your comeuppance or your karma. It's the universe saying: 'You wanted it so badly, and here it is. Not what you thought it would be, right?'"
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old star is looking forward to releasing her new album 'Delirium' but admits it is a bit of an "experiment".
She said: "'A part of me views this album as an experiment - to make a big pop album. I made a conscious decision that I wanted it to be on another level."
And Ellie says her favourite song of hers changes from day to day.
When asked which of her own tracks she likes best, she said: "Oh, I couldn't tell you that. It varies. Sometimes a particularly song will go down very well in a set and that then is my favourite, or I will hear one on the radio after not hearing it for a while and that'll be my favourite. They're all special for different reasons."

Lance Bass teases *NSYNC reunion

Lance Bass hasn't ruled out the chance of an *NSYNC reunion.
The 36-year-old singer and his bandmates - Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and JC Chasez - went on a hiatus in 2002 but Lance insists there is the possibility of the band reuniting if they get in the right "mood".
He said: "I mean, who knows? We're all brothers and we will be brothers the rest of our lives. It just depends on if we all get in the mood. You go through something like that, you're family.
"We love each other like brothers, we hate each other like brothers, every emotion comes out with your family members. It's great. I love that they're gonna be in my life the rest of my life. It's so funny to see everyone grown up now - Justin having a kid! It's so crazy cause I still look at them as teenagers. We still have not grown up."
The 'Bye Bye Bye' hitmaker also admits the band never planned to go on a permanent hiatus and wanted to do another album.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "We totally thought we were gonna do another album. Plans start changing in everyone's lives.
"Justin's career was just taking off. He had no idea that it was gonna be a success like that, no one did. It just wouldn't stop, so it just didn't make sense for us to do another album as long as he was doing so well. As you can tell, he hasn't stopped yet. There was no room for an *NSYNC album."

Sam Smith releasing ‘thank you’ LP for his fans

Frank Ocean labelled a ‘talentless little p***k’

Don Henley has lashed out at Kanye West and Frank Ocean.
The Eagles singer/songwriter has labelled Frank a "talentless little p***k" after previously threatening to sue him when the rapper used The Eagles' song 'Hotel California' on his track 'American Wedding' without permission.
He said: "I didn't think he was cool. I thought he was a talentless little p***k. And I still do.
"Some of these young kids have grown up in a world that doesn't understand or respect copyright material or intellectual property. They look at songs as interactive playthings."
When asked by The Guardian if he would be more comfortable if a more established artist, such as Kanye West, sampled his music, Don said: "No, I'd be just as p****d off. I don't like him, either."
And Don also hit out at Kanye's claims that he plans to run for President of the United States in 2020.
The musician - who has a new country album 'Cass County' coming out - scoffed: "He won't be president. He's either incredibly arrogant or incredibly insecure, or some combination of the two."

The Score get deep with Natasha Bedingfield at Jonas party

The Score had a "deep life convo" with Natasha Bedingfield at a party thrown by Nick Jonas.
The indie pop band - consisting of friends Eddie Anthony and Edan Dover - have just been signed to Republic Records off the back of their catchy tune 'All My Love' and revealed that just a few weeks ago they ended up at the 'Chains' hitmaker's house chatting to the British songstress.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, lead singer Eddie recalled: "There was only like 20 people there at the party. You know it's funny, and who is a very sweet person? I don't know how this happened but we ended up having like a 20-minute a deep life convo with Natasha Bedingfield. We were just talking and we're all kind of drinking and I'm like, doing my like British accent. She's really sweet. We were talking about some deep stuff, I don't know how we got onto it. She's really cool though."
Edan said: "She's super cool and down to earth. She had some really massive songs."
But the pair were even more thrilled to be "eating tacos and drinking tequilas" at the pop superstar's party and with the massages they received.
Edan added: "Yeah, getting massaged from a pretty cute Russian girl. I did not think that was gonna happen! It was like, 'Now we're in LA, at Nick Jonas' party, getting massages!' "
The boys released their debut EP 'Where Do You Run' last week and are working on their album of the same title due out early 2016.
But they're grateful for people like Ariana Grande - who is also signed to Republic Records - for reassuring them that they're in good hands.
Eddie shared: "We met Ariana Grande. She was like, 'Welcome to the family!' She said, 'You've made the right choice, you're with great people.' "
Edan added: "It's gratifying because you're literally going insane. You think what you're doing is good, people tell you what you're doing is good, but there's always part of you that's insecure, do I know what the hell I'm doing? So getting signed is like, 'OK, here's a professional seal of approval.' You know what you're doing and you're making money from it."
