Il Divo have backed One Direction's decision to take a break.
The classical crossover group have accumulated 12 years' experience in the music industry and think the boyband's desire to go on hiatus next year is understandable as they have been under intense pressure since rocketing to fame.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, German-born Spanish baritone Carlos Marín said: "It's difficult because you're together 16/17 hours a day. I think them having a break is a normal thing.
"Hopefully they come back together but it depends what they want to do. They are fantastic guys and great singers and obviously they have a lot going on. Being young you need to know what you want to do.
"Being a singer is beautiful but when you're as big as One Direction you have demands from all over the world and that is quite tough."
However, Il Divo - which also includes David Miller, Urs Buhler and Sébastien Izambard - are not planning to follow in their footsteps by taking a break and are instead planning "another 10 years" in the business.
Carlos said: "We are the mature guys who are still doing things after 12 years and hopefully we will for another 10 years."
Meanwhile, both groups are signed to Simon Cowell's Syco record label and Il Divo have nothing but praise for the music mogul.
Carlos, 47, said: "He's a very nice guy. We have musical theatre and classic backgrounds so at the beginning he said 'guys, trust me' and then after 12 years we said to him 'trust us'.
"He let us do whatever we want because he knows we are experienced and mature guys and we've shown that in the 12 years."
Il Divo's new album 'Amor & Pasion' is out November 27. They tour the UK in May 2016.

Justin Bieber has praised Ed Sheeran as a "super talented songwriter".
The 21-year-old star teamed up with the 24-year-old singer/songwriter for Justin's new track 'Love Yourself' and he was thrilled to work with someone of Ed's "calibre".
Justin said: "He is a good guy, super talented. Really good songwriter so just to be able to work with that calibre of songwriter was really really awesome. We are boys, so we just go out and we're mates."
This is not the first high-profile collaboration for Ed - who also features on backing vocals - as he has written for One Direction and recorded a duet with Taylor Swift.
Justin also admitted that the song - which features lyrics including "You think you broke my heart? Oh girl, for goodness' sake" - is about an ex-girlfriend but he is reluctant to name her publicly because he doesn't want to hurt her.
Co-hosting on Capital FM with Roman Kemp, Justin was asked: "So one of the questions that obviously people naturally ask when listening to a song like 'Love Yourself' - is it about past experiences? Is it about past girlfriends?"
The singer replied: "Yeah, it is but you know I don't want to make anyone upset so I'm not going to say it to the public."
Roman Kemp and Justin Bieber co-hosted on Capital FM, ahead of Justin's performance at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball with Coca-Cola on Sunday 6 December.

Gwyneth Paltrow has recorded vocals for ex-husband Chris Martin's new Coldplay album.
The 'Yellow' hitmaker and the Hollywood actress have come together with their children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, for the release, which features Gwyneth's voice on a track called 'Everglow'.
And Chris, 38, says those involved in their forthcoming LP 'A Head Full of Dreams' have played an "important" part in his life.
He explained: "Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives ... What I'm trying to learn in my life is the value of every human."
The British rocker's current girlfriend, Annabelle Wallis, also reportedly performs on one song and joins previously revealed guests Noel Gallagher, Beyoncé, Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy Carter and Tove Lo, who all feature on the eagerly-anticipated record.
Explaining the recording process, Chris told The Wall Street Journal newspaper: "Inclusiveness is the key thing, and it all comes from that 'Guest House' poem. The 'choir' started with my two kids coming in after school and recording.
"We recorded Blue Ivy Carter in New York when her mom Beyoncé was in the studio. It comes from learning about Greek tragedy, where the chorus chimes in at times. To me, when we use that sound, it's to affirm what I'm saying. 'We agree with you, Chris. Keep singing.'"
The four-piece band have confirmed their seventh studio album 'A Head Full of Dreams' will be released on December 4.

Nadine Coyle has landed a new record deal.
The former Girls Aloud singer, who currently lives in Los Angeles but is hoping to relocate to the UK in the near future, has reportedly taken pen to paper and inked a contract with record label Warner Music in a bid to make a big comeback next year.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Nadine is incredibly focused. She's selling her LA restaurant and laying roots in the UK. She's still a household name and wants to cash in on her singing abilities rather than turn to reality TV."
The 30-year-old star, who has 22-month-old daughter Anaíya with her fiancé Jason Bell, has already set the ball rolling after she recently teamed up with former Westlife hunk Shane Filan, 36, for their newly released single 'I Could Be'.
And it seems Nadine is on a mission to make a permanent mark on the music scene this time around after her debut album 'Insatiable', which she released five years ago, only managed to crawl into number 47 in the UK charts.

Adele wishes she had the "nerve" to tour more.
The 'Hello' hitmaker is afraid to commit herself to playing too many gigs because she gets anxious on stage and also because of her fear of having to cancel if her past vocal health issues return.
She said: "I always wish I had the nerve to do a few more things. I would love to tour, I really would."
The 27-year-old singer recalled going to Glastonbury to see Kanye West earlier this year and the size of the crowd made her freeze with "fear".
Speaking to Zane Lowe for Beats 1 Radio, she said: "I went to Glastonbury to watch Kanye.
"It was the biggest crowd I've ever seen. I froze of fear."
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer - who has three-year-old son Angelo with partner Simon Konecki - also admitted that before she had her son, she had no inspiration to make an album.
She said: "My kid makes me proud of myself.
"I had no ambition before this album. I was never reaching for anything. Then when I had my kid ... I want to show him what I manage to pull off."

Missy Elliott has thanked Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams for helping with her comeback.
The 'Get Ur Freak On' hitmaker was invited to perform with the 'Dark Horse' singer at the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year and she's admitted it helped her to find the confidence to release new music.
Speaking about the moment her manager called about the Super Bowl, Missy explained: "She said, 'Katy Perry wants to speak to you, she wants to perform with you'.
"I immediately thought that she would want me to perform 'Last Friday' the record that we did together. So when me and Katy got on the phone, she said she was a fan of my work and that she wanted me to perform, but to perform three of my records.
"First of all, I can't thank her enough. A thousand thank yous wouldn't be enough. She allowed me to perform my records, on her set and she said, 'If you have a new record, you should perform it, this is the time to perform it'.
"At the time I had some records but I didn't feel as strong about them. I said I'd rather go out there and give them the classics."
The 44-year-old star - who was mistaken for a newcomer by some of Katy's younger fans - also revealed how Pharrell encouraged her to make a comeback.
She told i-D magazine: "I was in the house vacuuming, walking my dogs - after the Superbowl, I'm just acting normal. He said, 'I'm not trying to push you, but people miss you. Do you see what happened out there? Have you seen the charts?'
"I think I was still in shock. It still hadn't registered. He was like, 'I want to get in the studio with you.' Who turns down Pharrell?"
Missy Elliott dropped new song and video 'WTF (Where They From)' last week.

Tom Fletcher has teased he's working on "new music" that's "not band-related".
The 30-year-old McFly guitarist has had most of 2015 off since super-group McBusted - a combination of his group and Busted - wrapped their tour in April.
But Tom has been busy writing more books and a raft of songs that are not connected to either group.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I am doing a lot of book writing stuff at the moment. I've got some really exciting things planned for next year that I can't talk about yet. And some music stuff that is not band-related. Lots of different projects really. I try and fill my time with lots of stuff."
Tom - who is expecting a second child with Giovanna Falcone, with whom he already has 20-month-old son Buzz - has been busy with bandmate Dougie Poynter creating new stories for their 'The Dinosaur That Pooped' series.
The musician - who was speaking to launch Amazon.co.uk's Kids Love Books campaign - added: "Me and Dougie have loads of plans for new books in the series it's just finding time. We've got too many ideas and not enough time to do them all. But there are definitely going to be some new 'The Dinosaur That Pooped' stuff next year."

Kacey Musgraves wants to write songs that "sound like 'Toxic' by Britney Spears".
The 27-year-old country singer is keen to record music of all different styles and would love to lay down an album of tracks that all had a pop vibe like Britney's smash hit.
Speaking at a special Royal Albert Hall workshop with aspiring young musicians ahead of her concert at the iconic London venue on Wednesday night (18.11.15), she said: "I'd like to do a whole record that sounds like 'Toxic' by Britney Spears, that kind of Western-style pop."
Kacey is also interested in writing and recording reggae songs because she's always loved the laid back genre.
She said: "I really love reggae music and I've always wanted to do a reggae project but in my own way: how I sing and with my words."
Kacey took part in the workshop as part of the Royal Albert Hall's Albert Sessions which is part of the venue's ground-breaking Education & Outreach programme - which brings music to more than 100,000 people each year, such as storytelling sessions aimed at infants to concerts in care homes.
During the event the 'Follow Your Arrow' hitmaker talked about her inspirations, her career and her craft, interspersed with performances of many of her best-loved and most acclaimed songs, explaining the sentiments and the techniques behind them. She finished with a performance of her debut single 'Merry Go 'Round'.
Kacey admitted getting to perform at the Royal Albert Hall
He said: "Tonight's show is just as much on the bucket list, a crazy moment, as it was opening for Kate Perry or duetting with Willie (Nelson). If the only thing I got to do in my career was play a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall, I would be totally floored. There are so many things happening like that, though, that you can't feel them all - sometimes it can be kind of numb."
