Ellie Goulding doesn’t compare herself to Taylor Swift

Ellie Goulding doesn't "compare" herself to pal Taylor Swift.
The pair have forged a friendship in recent years with Ellie even appearing in the singer's star-studded 'Bad Blood' music video, but she insists she doesn't think of her as competition and just appreciates her talents.
She explained: "I don't compare myself to Taylor. She's on such an incredible level.
"She's excelled in pop music and is very talented.
"She's got a beautiful outlook on life and a beautiful attitude and I honestly think that kindness goes such a long way in whatever you do in any field. She's genuine.
"We get on as we both have the same sense of humour and laughing through things is the best thing you can have."
Meanwhile, the 'On My Mind' singer is currently gearing up to release her third studio album 'Delirium' which she teased is a "big pop record" which she created with one of Taylor's producers Max Martin as well as a handful of other stellar hitmakers.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I wanted this album to take me to another place and part of it was accidental. I didn't know how this album was going to end up sounding in the very beginning and as soon as I made six or seven songs it was shaping up and I thought, 'OK this is going to be a big pop record.'
"I was only meant to write one song with Max then we got on so well we were like, 'Sod it, let's just make some more songs together.'"

Taylor Swift: Kanye reconciliation is career highlight

Taylor Swift says making up with Kanye West is a career highlight.
The 25-year-old star was interrupted by the rapper at the MTV VMAs in 2009 after winning the Best Video award as he believed Beyonce should have won and she's admitted the moment had a huge impact on her at the time.
She explained: "When the crowd started booing, I thought they were booing because they also believed I didn't deserve the award.
"That's where the hurt came from. I went backstage and cried, and then I had to stop crying and perform five minutes later."
"I just told myself I had to perform, and I tried to convince myself that maybe this wasn't that big of a deal. But that was the most happenstance thing to ever happen in my career."
However, Kanye faced a backlash over the incident and years later they have been able to put it behind them, which is something the 'Bad Blood' hitmaker is thrilled with because it means they've managed to overcome the event.
She told GQ magazine: "And to now be in a place where Kanye and I respect each other-that's one of my favourite things that has happened in my career."

John Newman met Calvin Harris at a supermarket

John Newman met Calvin Harris at a supermarket.
The 'Love Me Again' hitmaker - who collaborated with the Scottish DJ on the hit single 'Blame' - has revealed the first time the pair met was at a supermarket where Calvin was popping in to buy some sweet treats.
Asked how he got to collaborate with him, John said: "I met him when he was going to Tesco to buy flapjacks and a bird had s**t on his car and from there we became mates and made this tune together.
"'Blame' was the first idea that I had and it was amazing.
"I remember touring at the time and sending the track back and forth."
The 25-year-old singer - who has also worked with Rudimental, Idris Elba and Charlie Wilson - says the reason he and Calvin get on so well is because they're not afraid to tell each other how it is.
John told The Sun newspaper: "We are both very honest people, him being from Scotland and me from Yorkshire and we don't hid our opinions about things.
"When I was making the record out in America he was the guy who was giving me honest feedback about the record, what worked and what didn't work.
"It was really good to have him there because despite all of that s**t that gets thrown up around him, the guy is really very humble and a just lovely, genuine person."
John's new album 'Revolve' is out now.

Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran each have two tracks nominated for Song of the Year at the BMI Awards.

The Saturdays to return in 2016

Frankie Bridge has revealed The Saturdays will "definitely" be getting back together next year.
The girl group went on a break last year but are planning to get back together in 2016 because there is still such a demand for new music.
Speaking at the Attitude Awards in London, Frankie - who has sons Parker, two, and two-month-old Carter - told BANG Showbiz: "I think next year you'll definitely see us all doing something, the lucky thing for us is that we are all still together, we are just taking a break, so we all will be back doing something. We're not putting an end to anything! If anyone still wants us we'll be there.
"They're all really good, I saw them all recently because they all came over to see the baby. I don't think any of them are getting broody, I think if anything it's put them off!
"It was so nice to see them all because we're not used to going long periods of time without seeing each other. But we still talk all the time anyway, you know what girls are like when they get together!
"I've also got some exciting things coming up in the year, you'll have to wait and see."
The band - which also features Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Vanessa White and Una Foden - released their fourth studio album 'Living for the Weekend ' in October 2013 but they have since been working on individual projects, with Mollie launching a solo career.
The blonde beauty recently signed a deal with Island Records and Frankie is thrilled for her because she knows it's something the 28-year-old singer has "always" wanted to do.
She commented: "It's really exciting for her. She's really nervous as well as excited, but from the minute I met Mollie I knew that's what she was always going to want to do. I'm really proud of her and really pleased for her, I'm excited for her."
