Tame Impala joked Rihanna was "rude" for not speaking to them at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday night (24.02.16).
The 'Work' hitmaker - who performed with Drake at the ceremony at The O2 in London - covered the group's song 'New Person, Same Old Mistakes' on her latest LP 'Anti', but according to the Australian group she didn't come over to chat with them backstage. Speaking after collecting the award for International Group, frontman Kevin Parker told BANG Showbiz: "She hasn't said hello - she was quite rude in that regard. Obviously I'm joking!"
The 'Let It Happen' hitmakers were overwhelmed with their prize and admitting the BRITs were the "most extravagant" awards bash they've ever been to.
Discussing their first BRIT win, Kevin said: "I was just happy for all the people at our table - the record label and stuff, they're the ones who put all the effort into up getting to the next level. These kind of things [the award] are a physical symbol of that kind of stuff. The UK was the first place we came overseas. It's always been pretty special. It's been pretty intense - definitely the most extravagant awards show we've ever been to."
The rock group - which also features Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery and Julien Barbagallo - previously insisted they loved Rihanna's interpretation of their song, titled 'Same Ol' Mistakes' on her album.
Speaking on the group's behalf, a representative said: "Kevin was more than happy to send it her way. We're all really happy with how the song turned out, love it!"

Craig David wants to write a garage song for Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
The 'When The Bassline Drops' hitmaker is keen to pen a track for the 'Crazy Stupid Love' singer because he know they'd "smash it out of the park".
He said: "As a song writer, I'd love to write a song for Cheryl - if she's ready?
"I know as an artist she can sing anything, so if I could write a garage song with her, I know we'd smash it out of the park."
The 34-year-old singer, who made his comeback this year, insists he is "just trying to enjoy" things this time around.
He told the Daily Mirror Online: "I'm just trying to enjoy my performances right now. I mean, when I walked down the red carpet this evening, there were 15 and 15-year-olds screaming my name like it was 1999 again! It's so overwhelming.
"My manager and I have agreed that this time around, we are going to enjoy every single part of this. We are not going to take it so seriously. We won't worry about getting to number one or if we've been played on the radio. No, this time, I just want to enjoy myself and see people come to my shows."

Adele is nervous about her upcoming tour.
While the 'Hello' hitmaker is happy with how rehearsals have been progressing, she admitted there will be "a few bumps along the way".
Speaking at the Brit Awards in London on Wednesday (24.02.16), where she picked up four awards, Adele told BANG Showbiz: "I am looking forward to it but I'm nervous. I'm starting to think I'm crazy.
"The shows we were in production for before I went to Los Angeles for the Grammys were great. It's really exciting. It's really fun and very different from anything I've done. We are in such a big room and I wanted to make it intimate.
"I'm excited I just want to be healthy and be good for everyone. There will be a few bumps along the way because I sing live."
Meanwhile, Adele also admitted she felt "worn out emotionally" after winning four Brit Awards.
The 27-year-old singer won awards for British Female Solo Artist, British Single for 'Hello' and Mastercard British Album Of The Year for '25' and also took home the BRITs Global Success Award, which was presented by astronaut Tim Peake live from the International Space Station.
She also closed the show with an incredible performance of 'When We Were Young' but admitted that she was in a state of shock.
She said: "I feel a bit worn out emotionally. It feels absolutely incredible. I was hoping to win one but to get that many was amazing. I'm very lucky.
"I've watched it since I was last here and had a bit of a yearning just to be here and not nominated. I missed the bustle of it all."

And Ronan admitted the record is a collection of love songs inspired by his relationship with his model wife Storm Uechtritz, who he wed in August.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he shared: "Storm's inspired me for the last 12 months to make this record, I've dug deep about my feelings and all the songs come from the heart. It's very autobiographical, I'm in a great place and that's come out of me in the lyrics. I'm proud of the songs, I think they're my best work and I'm excited for people to hear them live, I was excited for Storm to hear them.
"There's a song called 'Breathe' - which is going to be the second single - I'm really enjoying singing it at home just with my guitar as I get ready for the live performances and that track has a great euphoric chorus. I'm sure people are going to love it."
For those not lucky enough to win the competition, Ronan will be performing his solo album on his upcoming 'Time Of My Life' UK tour, which kicks off in Plymouth in September.

Eagles of Death Metal have dedicated their BRIT Award nomination to their supporters after the Paris shootings last November.
The rock band are up for International Group at tonight's (24.02.16) BRIT Awards at London's The O2 and are touched by the nod, which was a nice surprise for the 'I Want You So Hard' rockers after a traumatic few months, after they were caught up in the terrorist attacks in Paris, France, where their concert at Le Bataclan theatre was stormed by gunmen.
Of their first BRIT nomination, frontman Jesse Hughes said: "It's still overwhelming to think that EODM has been nominated for a BRIT Award. We would like to dedicate this recognition to everyone who has shown us love and support since November, and before then.
"The reception we've received since coming back to Europe has truly been humbling and has helped us get back to doing what we do - playing kick-ass butt-shaking rock n roll music.
"Tonight we're looking forward to celebrating that great music, having fun and hanging with our friends."
The American group - also including guitarist Josh Homme - will go head-to-head with Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer, Tame Impala and U2 for the International Group prize at the ceremony, which is sponsored by MasterCard and will be broadcast live on ITV from 8pm tonight (24.02.16).

Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea thinks the late David Bowie's "art was so pure" because he kept his personal life private.
The 'Under The Bridge' bassist is a massive fan of the late music legend - who died in January at the age of 69 after a secret battle with cancer - and as soon as he heard of the 'Changes' hitmaker's passing he got a tattoo of his surname inked on his arm.
Now he's spoke about the "personal" connection he felt with the late star.
He said: "About a month before Bowie died, I bought his vinyl box set and was working through it. Then, the night before he died, I was listening to 'Blackstar' on headphones. He was very much on my mind when I woke up the next morning.
"Like many people, I connected with him in such a personal way. He never wrote about his personal life, which made his art so pure, but you felt like you knew him almost better than anyone else."
Meanwhile, Flea has given an update on his band's eagerly-anticipated as-yet-untitled eleventh studio LP, and says it's taking them into a "new area".
Flea, 53, told Q magazine: "We're near the end of it. Danger Mouse is producing this time, instead of Rick Rubin. We're heading into a new era and we're really excited.
"It's new and different but without sacrificing the good bits of us. There are some songs we already had, and some new ones too. I can't wait to play it live."

James Bay will duet with Justin Bieber at tonight's (24.02.16) BRIT Awards.
The 'Let It Go' singer is reportedly planning to team up with the 'Sorry' hitmaker for a special performance at London's O2, which will be in addition to the solo slots both stars have also been given at the annual ceremony, The Sun newspaper reports.
James and Justin reportedly became friends at a private hotel afterparty after the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in October when they were introduced by mutual friends, and the 25-year-old singer previously described the Canadian star as a "charming little lad".
He previously said: "It was the MTV EMAs in Milan. Ed was having a party in a massive hotel room.
"I don't know if Mr. Bieber knew who I was, but Ed introduced me anyway saying I'd got the biggest album in the UK at the moment. Justin was cool - a nice, charming little lad."
Singer/songwriter James is in contention for three prizes at tonight's BRITs - which are sponsored by MasterCard - including British Male Solo Artist, British Single for 'Hold Back The River' and the MasterCard British Album of the Year for his debut LP 'Chaos and the Calm'.
Meanwhile, Justin is contesting for International Solo Artist.

David Bowie's touring band are to pay tribute to the late music icon at tonight's (24.02.16) BRIT Awards.
The 'Space Oddity' hitmaker - who died in January at the age of 69 after a secret battle with cancer - will be remembered at the music bash at London's The O2 with his former band joined by several top-secret guest performers.
BRITs boss Max Lousada said: "We wish to honour his life and work and pay a fitting tribute to one of our greatest icons."
A source previously revealed that the guest musicians are likely to be artists such as Noel Gallagher, Blur's Damon Albarn and U2's Bono, rather than younger artists who weren't alive in the music legend's heyday.
A music insider said: "A few artists approached the Brits to ask if they could be involved in the David Bowie tribute as they want to make sure it is done properly.
"He was a British icon and they want to provide a credible farewell which can honour that.
"The band will be full of musicians who grew up with Bowie and were inspired by him, meaning artists like Noel, Damon and Bono.
"It is unlikely to involve young acts such as Sam Smith or Ed Sheeran, but there will be a few artists who are already singing on the night who will be asked if they want to take part too.
"The organisers are putting everything into it. If they get it right, it will be epic."
