AC/DC's former singer Dave Evans would be happy to step in for Brian Johnson now he has hearing problems.
The 62-year-old fronted the heavy metal band briefly when it was formed by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young in November 1973 until he was replaced by the late Bon Scott in September 1974.
After discovering that Johnson has been advised by doctors to stop touring or risk completely losing his hearing earlier this week, Evans has made it known that he'd be willing to cover for the frontman.
Evans, 62, said: "A lot of people make jokes about going deaf from listening to loud music. It's never been a problem for me. I just thought it was sad news. It's your lifeblood as a singer, live performances are so personal, without the crowd and the adrenaline, it's going to be hard for him. Performances are the big highs in our lives.
"It would be nice to do one guest performance. [Former members] were all part of the band no matters what era they were from."
However, Johnson - who recorded the vocals for their first few singles, including 'Can I Sit Next To You Girl' and 'Baby Please Don't Go' - has no doubt the 'Highway To Hell' hitmakers will soldier on for as long as they have lead guitarist Angus Young in the group.
Evans - who went on to front Rabbit in the mid-70s - told The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper: "So long as Angus is there in his uniform ... it's a branding thing now, the name AC/DC is almost bigger than the [members of the] band itself. It's a massive thing all over the world."
The band announced that they are rescheduling 10 shows on the US leg of their 'Rock or Bust' world tour with a guest vocalist.
More information regarding the shows are expected to follow.

Sister Sledge would "love" to perform the legend's Sunday afternoon slot at Glastonbury Festival.
The 'We Are Family' hitmakers last played the world famous music festival in south west England in 2013 with close pal Nile Rodgers and they are keen to return.
Asked if they'd be up for performing the legend slot, singer Joni Sledge exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I would really love to do that. I've heard about that and I think we should investigate it more. We would love it. We played Glastonbury already and I would love to do it again."
Meanwhile, festival organiser Emily Eavis has hinted that she'd love to get Adele to headline the festival and Sister Sledge are big fans of the 'Hello' hitmaker.
Emily told i-D magazine: "We love Adele. She's an incredible artist and brilliantly honest and funny and real and that's what everybody loves about her. She's a great example because she doesn't put up any pretence. It would be great to get her."
Following Emily's comments, Joni said: "Adele has found a place in her soul where she sings from and she has worked on her craft. She has a very agile beautiful well-trained voice. That is one thing that I really admire about her and she's not trying to be anybody else. I really adore her."
Sister Sledge will perform at Women of the World festival at London's Southbank Centre on Sunday March 13.
They also have a new track out in April, 'Women are the Music of the World'.

Nick Heyward rejected a collaboration with Sir Paul McCartney.
The former Haircut 100 vocalist turned down the opportunity of working with the former 'The Beatles' singer, because he was "flabbergasted" by the offer - although he vows that a partnership with the Liverpudlian legend will happen before he dies.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the 54-year-old star said: "I remember him saying to me 'Hey Nick, will you come and write some poetry with me?' I was so flabbergasted I didn't take him up on it because I wasn't confident enough to say 'Yes'. I just stood and [thought] 'Did he just say that?'
"I didn't turn him down, I was kind of stuck in a star for months thinking I haven't got the confidence to take him up on that.
"I kept saying to myself he was just being polite.
"I know it will happen - one day! Before I die he will pop on stage."
The singer songwriter let his confidence get the better of him once again and snubbed the chance to join Johnny and Bernard Sumner in the alternative dance super group 'Electronic' - although he strongly regrets that fateful decision.
He revealed: "I also got asked by Johnny Marr to join 'Electronic', that was another thing where again lack of confidence; I convinced myself he didn't really need it. I would love to work with Johnny Marr because I was a massive Smiths fan, and he is still one of the greatest pop guitarists that has ever been."
Meanwhile, the 'Whistle Down The Wind' soloist has returned to the stage and begun the '80's Invasion Tour', alongside 'Big Country', 'Curiosity Killed The Cat' and Midge Ure, which will draw to a close on March 20.

Ellie Goulding is taking a break from music.
The 29-year-old singer is currently travelling the world with her 'Delirium' tour but revealed that once it finishes she is taking up to a year to "live a bit" after struggling with an overwhelming workload and the recent break-up of her relationship with Dougie Poynter.
She said: "I'm not in a relationship anymore and that's been hard. Having a break will be a good thing for me and my head."
"I'm not writing new stuff. I'm not sure when I'll release a new album. It might not even be next year. I need time off for my own head.
"My plan is to have a month off in August and do more of my charity stuff and then next year I need to live a bit. Who knows? My situation has changed."
Ellie admitted she needs a break because her social life is practically non-existent after seven years of "non-stop" touring.
She told The Sun: "I've toured seven years non-stop. If you do too much of something, it can turn into something you feel like you have to do and it's not as enjoyable as it could be.
"I don't really have that much of a social life because of what I do. You tend to meet people just in this world."
Ellie follows in the footsteps of Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran, who are both taking a break to recharge.

Gary Barlow is hosting a concert to celebrate his album 'Fly' - the soundtrack to the 'Eddie the Eagle' film.
The Take That star curated the 80s-inspired LP getting some of the biggest pop acts from the decade to record songs - such as Midge Ure, Tony Hadley, Paul Young, Marc Almond, Kim Wilde, Nik Kershaw, ABC, Go West, Howard Jones and Heaven 17 - for the comedy biopic about real-life skier Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, who became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping in 1988.
Gary is holding the evening of live music at One Mayfair in London on March 18 to celebrate the release of the album and will be joined by Tony, Paul, Holly Johnson, Nik, Go West and Howard.
Each artist will perform their song from the album, as well as some of their biggest hits such as Tony performing a rendition of his band Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' and Holly singing 'The Power of Love', released by his former band Frankie Goes To Hollywood in 1984.
The album came about after the movie's producer Matthew Vaughn phoned Gary in December 2014 and asked him to create a record of original tracks.
Recalling their conversation, the 45-year-old songwriter - who has worked with Matthew before on 'Stardust', 'X-Men: First Class' and 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' - said: "He was raving about the next movie he was going to make ... the life story of Eddie Edwards. When he started reeling off about the script, the actors and, best of all, that he wanted all the music to be faithful to the original decade of the story, the 1980s, I knew I had to be involved. Then after having seen the film I was even more excited.
"I started to think about how incredible it would be to make a whole album of brand new songs, with a cast of the legends who started their career in, and defined, the 1980s. Not a pastiche record, but a contemporary record of who all those artists are now, while still keeping the trademark style for which they originally became known around the world. It's going to be like an iconic super group! All on one soundtrack, all on one album."
'Fly' will be released on the same day as the concert on March 18 via Universal Records.
Fans can go to Facebook.com/universalmusiccatalogue for information on how to get tickets for the one-off show.
'Fly' tracklisting:
01 - Holly Johnson - Ascension
02 - Howard Jones - Eagle Will Fly Again
03 - Marc Almond - Out Of The Sky
04 - Tony Hadley - Moment
05 - Midge Ure - Touching Hearts and Skies
06 - Nik Kershaw - The Sky's The Limit
07 - ABC - Living Inside My Heart
08 - Kim Wilde - Without Your Love
09 - Andy Bell - Fly
10 - Go West - Determination
11 - Heaven 17- Pray
12 - Paul Young - People Like You
13 - Taron Egerton & Hugh Jackman - Thrill Me

Young Thug is working on a collaboration with Sir Elton John.
Lyor Cohen - the co-owner of the 'Stoner' rapper's record label 300 Entertainment - arranged for the music legend to have a consultation over video conferencing software FaceTime with Thug.
And Elton was thought to be so impressed with Thug during their chat that he agreed to send over the music from his 1972 hit 'Rocket Man' for him to re-work.
A source told website The FADER: "It's all the instrumental, the guitar, the piano; and Thug is not rapping, he's singing. It is really ambient and amazing."
News of the two artists joining forces should come as no surprise as Elton, 68, previously revealed his appreciation of 24-year-old Thug's music.
Talking about how he loves the American rapper's eccentric clothing and his attitude, Elton said: "I love all that. It's unexpected. I remember when Blind Faith came out, with a nude girl and John and Yoko, you had to buy to it in a black plastic bag. And you should be able to do things like that, but we don't live in that kind of world any more. I f***ing hate PC. You can't say anything about anything any more. I'm not really for censorship at any level. I think you should be able to say what you think."
