Alesha Dixon announces album

Alesha Dixon will release her new album in October.
The 36-year-old singer has announced the release of her new solo LP, 'Do It For Love' - her fourth studio record - which she has teased will show people the "heart and soul" of who she is.
She said: "This record is uplifting, fun and honest. 'Do It For Love' is the heart and soul of who I am and what I believe in. It's a personal triumph and a moment I have waited a long time for."
The album will be released on October 9 and will be her first record in five years, following 2010's 'The Entertainer' which featured singles 'Drummer Boy' and 'Take Control'.
The former Miss-Teeq star has taken creative control on the collection including co-writing several of the songs along with Alex James, Harry Sommerdahl and Da Beat Freakz, with the LP also featuring a collaboration with rapper 'Wretch 32' titled 'Stop'.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge - who has 22-month-old daughter Azura Sienna - has already released the first single from the album, garage-style tune 'The Way We Are'.

Madonna’s tour to feature ‘sexuality and religion’

Madonna has promised to blend "sexuality and religion" into her 'Rebel Heart Tour'.
The 56-year-old star has revealed she has been inspired by "deconstructing" concepts on her forthcoming world tour, which will kick off in Montreal, Canada, on September 9.
She said: "I'm very immersed in deconstructing the concept of sexuality and religion and how it's not supposed to go together, but in my world it goes together."
The news comes just a week after it was revealed the show will feature pole dancing women controversially dressed as nuns.
However, the 'Living For Love' hitmaker insisted the thing she is most looking forward to about the tour is the opportunity to perform new material from her 2015 album 'Rebel Heart'.
She gushed: "Of course, the thing I'm most excited about doing is my new stuff, because I haven't done it yet and it's fresh."
The musical icon - who has been spending 10 to 12 hours rigorously preparing for the tour each day - admitted nailing down the set list has been "tricky" though as she wants to please fans with a mix of both old and new songs.
She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "But I realize that people want to hear my older stuff, so for me it's always a tricky balance trying to keep some kind of continuity, not only with sound, sonically, but also thematically ... a lot of times I have to take the songs and turn them inside out and make them more ironic than straightforward."

Keith Richards slams Beatles LP

Keith Richards has slammed The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album.
The 71-year-old rocker has blasted the band's acclaimed 1967 album - which was previously named Rolling Stone magazine's number one album of all time - dismissing it as "a load of s**t" and suggesting they didn't care about the LP.
He said: "Some people think it's a genius album, but I think it's a mishmash of rubbish, kind of like - 'Oh, if you can make a load of s**t, so can we'."
The Rolling Stones musician continued to badmouth the album by saying while the band - featuring Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon - were "great" with their earlier releases such as 'Please Please Me', 'Revolver' and 'A Hard Day's Night', they got "carried away" with the album, which was released three years before their split in 1970.
He told Esquire magazine: "The
Beatles sounded great when they were the Beatles. But there's not a lot of roots in that music. I think they got carried away. Why not? If you're the Beatles in the '60s, you just get carried away - you forget what it is you wanted to do."

Michael Buble to duet with Elvis on new LP

Michael Buble will duet with Elvis Presley on a new album.
The 39-year-old crooner will team up with the late musical icon on a new greatest hits collection on which some of the 'Jailhouse Rock' hitmaker's most well-known songs will be reworked with backing from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Speaking about the collection, Elvis' former wife Priscilla, 70, said: "This would be a dream come true for Elvis.
"He would have loved to play with such a prestigious symphony orchestra. The music ... the force that you feel with his voice and the orchestra is exactly what he would have done."
Michael - whose wife Luisana Lopilato recently announced she was pregnant with their second child - will duet with the star on 'Fever', with other famous tracks such as "Love Me Tender' and 'Can't Help Falling In Love' also featuring on the record.
The new collection, which is titled 'If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra', will be released on October 30 through Sony Music Entertainment to celebrate what would have been Elvis' 80th year in 2015.
Later this year, ITV will also celebrate Elvis' life with an hour-long documentary called 'Joanna Lumley: Elvis and Me'.

The tracklist for 'If I Can Dream: Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra' is as follows:
1. 'Burning Love'
2. 'It's Now or Never'
3. 'Love Me Tender'
4. 'Fever' feat. Michael Bublé
5. 'Bridge over Troubled Water'
6. 'And the Grass Won't Pay No Mind'
7. 'You've Lost That Loving Feeling'
8. 'There's Always Me'
9. 'Can't Help Falling in Love'
10. 'In the Ghetto'

Mel B plots Spice Girls reunion

Mel B intends to "gather the troops" for a Spice Girls reunion.
The 40-year-old singer is determined she and her former bandmates - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Mel C - will do something to mark the fact next year sees them celebrate 20 years since the release of their debut single 'Wannabe', even if the rest of the group are not convinced.
She said: "When you say it's our 20th anniversary coming up, it does make you think, 'Oh, my gosh, it really has been that long.'
"Hopefully, we'll gather the troops around, and we'll get to do something to celebrate it next year. It's in my plan, I don't know about anybody else's."
The 'Holler' singer has "great memories" of her time in the band and is particularly pleased they are all still good friends and get along well.
She added during an interview on 'The Today Show': "I've got so many great memories. I got to tour the world with four of my best friends - even today we still all support each other. We like each other, and that's the most important part."
Mel recently insisted she and her bandmates are still just like their old Spice Girl personas, and she will "always" be Scary Spice.
She said: "We're all kind of exactly the same, we've just like aged a little more gracefully. When I jump out of the shower, my hair's lovely and curly, and I like that. You can't stop you from being you, and I'm Scary Spice, always, and I don't mind that!"

David Guetta: I was a hippy kid

David Guetta was raised as a hippy and spent his childhood "walking bare foot in Paris".
The 47-year-old superstar DJ has revealed his mother was a bohemian character and he believes his love of Ibiza comes from his upbringing.
Talking on BBC Radio 1's 'Made in Ibiza' series, he said: "My mum was a hippy, so I was raised like this ... I was walking bare foot in Paris when I was a child, but I love that vibe."
Guetta believes 'The White Island' still has a "hippy heritage" and that's what makes the clubbers' paradise such a special place.
He explained: "I think the hippy heritage of Ibiza left something that is very unique ... I love the fact there's a hippy heritage. I love that the underground scene is still very strong and I love the fact that there's still so many different types of music in Ibiza and that people are so open-minded."
Guetta feels as though he owes much of his success to his time spent playing clubs in Ibiza and he loves to go back and perform.
He admitted: "Representing Ibiza from the very early days has helped me a lot in my DJ career ... and it's still a key point of my career. Before I had those hits, I was that guy, the Ibiza DJ."

5 Seconds Of Summer’s Ashton Irwin accidentally injures fan

A 5 Seconds Of Summer fan was injured by a flying drumstick at the band's concert on Saturday (01.08.15).
The fan, who uses the name Mady Joe on Twitter, took to the social media website to reveal she was left with a gash to the head after being hit by the stick drummer Ashton Irwin hurled into the crowd during the show.
Along with a photo of her injury, she tweeted: "When you get hit in the face with Ashton's drumstick @Ashton5SOS (sic)"
Mady required stitches to close the wound but despite her injury she had a great time at the gig.
Ashton saw the tweet and the response of concerned fellow 5SOS fans and took to his own Twitter account to apologise for hurting her.
He wrote: "Apparently a girl got hit by a drum stick tonight ... I can not express how incredibly sorry I am... I am so sorry 🙁 (sic)"
Perhaps the rowdiness of the crowd at the show inspired Ashton to hurl his drumstick as he revealed on Twitter the crowd at the concert when Mady's injury occurred had "rocked the hardest ever".
He wrote: "You gave us your whole heart and soul tonight twin cities and we can't thank you enough, you rocked the hardest ever ... Thank you (sic)"
The injury suffered by Mady is the latest medical emergency to occur on the group's 'Rock Out with Your Socks Out Tour'.
5SOS guitarist Michael Clifford was burned by pyrotechnics during the band's concert at London's SSE Wembley Arena in June and at first he was scared he would lose the sight in one of his eyes.
Michael said: "It was so scary. I walked into an open flame. It was huge and Callum (Hood) got burned as well. At first I couldn't open my eye. I thought I'd lost my sight."

Corey Taylor: Pop music is processed and lifeless

Corey Taylor thinks pop music is "insulting to musicians".
The Slipknot vocalist is annoyed that artists with "more talent" who get "less attention" are not getting the credit they deserve for their work, while pop musicians "let a computer do all the work for them" and has compared it to "listening to a f***ing piece of wood".
He said: "It's so auto-tuned, it's so beat-corrected, it's so canned and processed and lifeless... I mean, you might as well be listening to a f***ing piece of wood at that point."
He added: "To watch these people basically let a computer go through the motions and do all the work for them, it's insulting to everyone out there who has more talent and less attention."
The 'Wait and Bleed' rocker feels so passionate about his music that he says he literally "bleed and dies for it every night" and puts everything he has into being the best he can.
He told Kerrang! magazine: "It bothers me, because I put so much into everything I do, I put so much into my music - I bleed for it and die for it every god damn night, you know?"
