One Direction thanked fans for their "incredible" support on the final night of their residency at The O2 in London on Wednesday night (30.09.15).
The 'Story of My Life' hitmakers took to the stage for the sixth time in just seven days to perform at the venue for the last time before they go on hiatus following their 'On The Road Again' tour and took a moment to thank their fans.
Harry Styles said: "We know more than anybody that we don't exist if it isn't for every single one of you buying tickets. Thank you for all your support whether it started a week ago or five years ago.
"Every single one of you, we're not here without you so thank you so much for having us. You've been absolutely incredible."
Harry and his bandmates - Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - broke the record for the most gigs played at the arena as they took to the stage for the 23rd time in their five-year career.
Liam said to Louis: "I can't believe that thanks to these guys, we got to break that record."
And the 22-year-old star added that it was a particularly special night for them.
He shared: "As you know, this is a very important gig for us. This is our last time at The O2 for a little bit and it means the world to have a crowd this loud."
The boys will now complete the UK leg of their tour with concerts in cities including Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin.
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed the band's extended hiatus could cost them their title as the most popular pop band in the world.
According to StubHub, which surveyed 2,000 Brits, 33 per cent claimed they were fans of Fleetwood Mac, whereas just 10 per cent liked One Direction.
Nick Harford, Interim General Manager at StubHub International said: "It's great to see that as well as producing some of the biggest musicians in the world, the UK also has some of the most passionate and loyal music fans.
"It's also interesting to see that long-time rockers Fleetwood Mac are still topping the fandom bill, over the more recent chart toppers One Direction."

Disclosure are "so proud" to have worked on Sam Smith's James Bond theme.
The electronic musical duo - made up of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence - were asked by their frequent collaborator to give 'Writing's On The Wall' a "contemporary feel" and were honoured to be a part of something so prestigious.
Howard said: "We didn't have too much involvement but I'm pretty proud we were involved at all. Sam [Smith] and Jimmy [Napes] wrote this incredible song for the Bond theme called 'Writing's On The Wall' and they then came to us and asked us to give it a bit more of a contemporary feel."
The pair thought the song - which will soundtrack upcoming Bond movie 'Spectre' - sounded "incredible" before they got involved, and hope their "subtle" tweaks have made it even better.
Speaking to RedBull.com, Howard added: "The song was already fully written and was incredible but it was just Sam with a piano and an orchestra and it sounded very classic - an amazing classic Bond song, like 'Diamonds Are Forever' or 'Goldfinger'.
"They asked us to put our twist on things and we just added a few little bits and made it a bit more electronic sounding, really quite subtle. But yeah man we helped with a f***ing Bond theme! I'm so proud."
Howard has known Sam since the early days of his career and always knew he'd be a star.
He said: "I knew Sam Smith was going to be a star straight away. He's just one of those guys - he's got that aura around him. When he wasn't famous, you'd be like: 'Why isn't that guy famous, someone make that guy famous!'
"I think some people are just born to do that, be that superstar and Sam is just that guy. He suits being famous and being on a stage.

Jahmene thinks his new album is his true "first debut".
The 2012 'X Factor' runner-up is close to finishing his second LP after a three-year hiatus from the music industry.
Jahmene is still disappointed with his 2013 album 'Love Never Fails' because it was made up entirely of cover versions and he says his upcoming single 'Down For Love', which is out on November 6, showcases his true sound.
Jahmene told BANG Showbiz: "I feel like this is the first debut of Jahmene. I've just been really working on me and what I wanted. The first album I didn't get to showcase who I am or what my sound is.
"My first album I recorded most of it in a week. Whereas this one it's been over the course of three years so you have more of a journey with the sound. I always think that when you make your album you should be inspiring yourself as you go. I always say my referencing for this album was 'My Love Is Your Love' by Whitney Houston. It's got the perfect balance of the up-tempos and the ballads. But I love people like Erika Badu and Lauren Hill."
The 24-year-old singer hooked up with a number of songwriters for the LP and he thinks he's finally got the "right" team around him.
The album - to be released this December - is steeped in R&B but his first single features a grime hook.
He said: "I've been working with Andrea Martin. Andrea's done 'Don't Let Go' for En Vogue. I'm trying to get the right type of team around me and I feel like I've been blessed. It's just exciting. Much different to the first album."

Ed Sheeran and Ruby Rose will host the MTV European Music Awards in Milan on October 25.
The 'Thinking Out Loud' singer and the 'Orange Is The New Black' actress will join forces to host the show which has been billed as an "epic night of music and mayhem".

The ceremony will be held at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.
Awards are voted on by members of the public, with voting remaining open until midnight the night before the event on MTV's award show website.
Ed is up for two gongs - Best Male and Best Live Act - and other double nominees are Ellie, Katy Perry, Jess Glynne, James Bay, Kanye West, Pharrell, One Direction, Major Lazer and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for their worldwide smash 'Uptown Funk'.
And Ed's good friend Taylor Swift has been nominated for an incredible nine prizes.

Philip George changes the channel when his songs come on the radio.
The 'Wish You Were Mine' hitmaker has admitted that while he loves knowing his songs are getting air time, he's heard them so many times that he often opts for another channel if they get played.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It sounds really bad but I heart it so much - and I do still get weirded out by it - but it's almost become normal to me. It's weird because you hear your songs all the time. 'Wish You Were Mine' for instance, if that gets played on the radio, I always seem to turn over the channel because I've heard it that many times."
The 22-year-old DJ - whose debut single entered the UK charts at Number 2 and remained there for three weeks - also confessed that although he'd love to become as successful as 'Summer' hitmaker Calvin Harris, the Scottish star's level of fame "scares the life" out of him.
He explained: "Seeing Calvin Harris you just think, 'Wow'. He's such a legend and so big and so well respected as well and so genuine. He doesn't ever make a fool of himself or anything like that. He's such a great role model but at the same time I don't think I'd ever want to be as big as him. Nowhere near as big as him. His actual status scares the life out of me to be honest with you, it really does.
"I think he's so big that ... I'd love to be able to get to that point where you're respected and people know who you are if you say your name but I think you just want to be at that respect level with the public and other DJs as well."

The 21-year-old pop star said: "I love Leeds. I got my love for Leeds when I first went on tour with Rudimental. It's such a great place to go out and it's a really lovely city to be in. I'm definitely a Northerner inside, somewhere along the line I was born in the wrong place. I love being up North. I've had a few messy nights up there but who hasn't?"
Other nominees include Krept & Konan, who have four nods in total, Mark Ronson, Rita Ora and Jamie XX.

Shakka, Lianne La Havas and Joss Stone in the Best R&B/Soul Act category, while Jess is up for two prizes, Best Female and Best Song in Association with First Direct for 'Not Letting Go', her collaboration with Tinie Tempah.
Kwabs has got to know Jess because they are both signed to Atlantic and he would be very happy if both he and the 'Don't Be So Hard on Yourself' hitmaker left the ceremony with statuettes.
Speaking at the MOBO nominations announcement in London today (30.09.15), he told BANG Showbiz: "I'm proud to even get to be here but to be nominated in the Best R&B/Soul category is great. I think awards ceremonies are always aspirational and the MOBOs are no exception, I feel like ultimately being recognised in any way shape or form for your talent or for what your music is, to me, really is a great honour. You never know whether you're going to be nominated or not, I just enjoy the fact that I've been recognised and if I win it's a bonus."
When asked who he'd like to see take home a prize other than himself, he added: "As she's my label mate and as I'm someone who really appreciates her voice, I'd like to see Jess Glynne win. I think she's in with a really good chance and I'd love her to win something."

The Who have rescheduled their North American tour for February 2016.
Earlier this month the 'Baba O'Riley' hitmakers postponed their remaining shows after lead singer Roger Daltrey was struck down with viral Meningitis.
However, they have now confirmed that 'The Who Hits 50!' tour will resume on February 27 in Detroit.
Daltrey said in a statement: "I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better."
Guitarist Pete Townshend added that the band "will be coming back stronger than ever!"
Tickets for the originally scheduled shows will be valid for the new dates.
Earlier this month, Roger announced that they were postponing the shows and explained: "We are very sorry to disappoint our fans in this way. For the last four weeks, I have been in and out of the hospital and have been diagnosed with viral Meningitis.
"I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better but I am going to need a considerable time to recover. The doctors tell me I will make a complete recovery, but that I should not do any touring this year."
Pete added: " Once Roger is completely well we will come back stronger than ever and Roger and I will give you all a show to remember."

Demi Lovato wants to be nominated for a Grammy.
The 23-year-old singer is preparing for the release of her upcoming album 'Confident' and believes that new song 'Stone Cold' is worthy of being nominated for the prestigious music award.
She told Complex magazine "I want the Grammy committee to hear ['Stone Cold'] so that one day they can see that- I know that I'm capable of getting there. I just want people to see it finally. When I say getting there, I don't mean winning one. I just want to be nominated for one.
"You can't go higher than the Grammys in the music industry. That was a huge goal for this album. I watched the Grammy nominations last year and I was like, 'I want to be there so bad.' It really gave me that kick in the ass to make music that was worthy of it. This is a song that I feel like is worthy of notification."
And Demi also hit back at claims that her song 'Cool For The Summer' is a rip-off of Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl'.
She said: "Yeah. The song literally sounds nothing like 'I Kissed a Girl.' Well, I used the word 'cherry.' How dare I use that word. It's definitely not a rip-off of anything."

The 23-year-old singer is preparing for the release of her upcoming album 'Confident' and believes that new song 'Stone Cold' is worthy of being nominated for the prestigious music award.
She told Complex magazine "I want the Grammy committee to hear ['Stone Cold'] so that one day they can see that- I know that I'm capable of getting there. I just want people to see it finally. When I say getting there, I don't mean winning one. I just want to be nominated for one.
"You can't go higher than the Grammys in the music industry. That was a huge goal for this album. I watched the Grammy nominations last year and I was like, 'I want to be there so bad.' It really gave me that kick in the ass to make music that was worthy of it. This is a song that I feel like is worthy of notification."
And Demi also hit back at claims that her song 'Cool For The Summer' is a rip-off of Katy Perry's 'I Kissed A Girl'.
She said: "Yeah. The song literally sounds nothing like 'I Kissed a Girl.' Well, I used the word 'cherry.' How dare I use that word. It's definitely not a rip-off of anything."
