Muse wow Glastonbury with blazing set

Muse wowed Glastonbury fans with an almost two-hour performance on the Pyramid Stage on Friday (24.06.16).
The British rockers kicked off their show with ‘Psycho’, from current album ‘Drones’, before going on to play a blistering set which mixed classics including ‘Plug In Baby’ and ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ with more recent recordings.
Rather than the usual elaborate sets they have become famous for, Muse – comprised of Matt Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard – opted for a stripped down stage for their third headline appearance at the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
However, they incorporated their usual lights, LED screens, confetti and fireworks into the performance.
While the band barely spoke to the 75,000-strong crowd, except to say "thank you", the fans did not seem to mind and enthusiastically sang along to songs including ‘Uprising’ and ‘Starlight’.
Muse are now the first band to headline the Pyramid Stage on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.
Earlier, the Pyramid Stage hosted performances from Foals, Jess Glynne and ZZ Top.
Adele and Coldplay will headline the festival over the weekend.
