Mr. T: Hulk Hogan is still cool with me

Mr. T says Hulk Hogan is still "cool" with him, despite the race row that engulfed him last year.
The former ‘A-Team’ star first met Hulk on the set of ‘Rocky III’ in 1982 and then went on to form a tag team with him to take on the pairing of the late ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper and ‘Mr. Wonderful’ Paul Orndorff at the very first WWE ‘WrestleMania’ in 1985 and the pair remained friends going forward.
Mr. T, like most of the 62-year-old grappling icon’s peers and pals, was shocked when a transcript from the recording of a secret sex tape made in 2007 was released revealing Hulk had used the ‘N-word’ to describe a former boyfriend of his daughter Brooke Hogan.
But the 63-year-old actor insists Hulk’s actions have done nothing to change their relationship and he believes the wrestler made a mistake in very unusual circumstances, for which he is willing to forgive him.
In an interview with Ring Rust Radio, Mr. T said: "I don’t have a problem with Hulk Hogan. People say things and do things, and who am I to judge? I am a Christian and the bible teaches me to forgive. So what am I going to say? The man did something wrong. The whole operation with how it happened was bad with him being filmed and everything … If Hulk Hogan called me, I would talk to him. I wouldn’t cut him off for what he did. I haven’t lost any respect for him. Everybody has done something that we wish we didn’t say or do and wish we could take it back. He is still cool with me."
Mr. T – who was born Lawrence Tureaud – also stated he is disgusted with Hulk’s former friend Bubba ‘The Love Sponge’ Clem for harassing the multi-time world champion into sleeping with his then-wife Heather Clem and recording the footage without his knowledge.
The mohawked muscle man believes that DJ Bubba took advantage of Hulk when he was at the lowest point in his life, a time when he was suffering from depression in the wake of his wife Linda Hogan filing for divorce, dealing with the cancellation of his reality TV show ‘Hogan Knows Best’ and coming to terms with the eventual jailing of his son Nick Hogan in May 2008 for reckless driving.
Mr. T – who is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame for his work with the sports entertainment company during the ‘Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection’ era – added: "I’m mad at his buddy. Hulk loved the guy and he betrayed him, but that is life. Judas betrayed Jesus. Lady Red betrayed John Dillinger. Those things happen."
Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – successfully sued website Gawker for posting footage from the sex tape in 2012, being awarded $140 million in damages for breach of privacy.
