Matt Damon thrilled to reprise Bourne role

Matt Damon always wanted to play Jason Bourne again.
The 44-year-old actor reprises his starring role in the 'Bourne' franchise for the first time since 2007's 'Bourne Ultimatum' in the upcoming fifth movie and Matt is thrilled to be back.
He said: "I love this character. He's so smart and resourceful and easy to root for. I always wanted to play him again."
Matt and director Paul Greengrass decided not to be part of the fourth movie and so a spin-off featuring Jeremy Renner, 2012's 'The Bourne Legacy', was released.
Matt explained to The Hollywood Reporter: "I always tied myself to Paul. I always said, if he came back, I would love to come back. And we would talk about it periodically. But we just didn't have a story to tell. We just didn't have anything. And the studio was under pressure because they have a deal with the estate: They have to make a 'Bourne' movie or they [lose the rights]. I don't know what the deal is, but I know that any time there's a franchise that's this successful, there's a lot of pressure."
Despite his love for the role, Matt hasn't signed up for another 'Bourne' film just yet.
He said: "I don't want to take that for granted. I always just did one at a time. Even on the first one, they suggested me signing up for three, [but] I didn't know if I was going to like making action movies. I didn't ever want to be in a situation where I was roped to something and I couldn't get away."

Ryan Reynolds stole Deadpool costume

Ryan Reynolds stole his 'Deadpool' costume from the set.
The 38-year-old actor has spent 10 years waiting for the comic book movie to come to fruition so was determined he'd take home a special souvenir when filming ended.
He said: "I loved wearing it and I have run away with one - I'll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I've waited 10 years to do this movie so I'm leaving with a f***ing suit."
Despite his frustration that the movie took so long to make and on a limited budget, Ryan is delighted with what director Tim Miller has achieved.
He said: "Sometimes the long game pays off. I never thought it would come to fruition, it's been an uphill battle but there was such an appetite for that character on screen.
"We did it with a relative pittance compared to most superhero films, but it really allowed us to explore the character. When you see the movie, you would think it's a $150 million film, but actually it's not at all."
Going forward in his career, the 'Mississippi Grind' actor has made a decision to consider "anything."
He told Marie Claire magazine: "I've made a conscious decision to make slightly different choices... to be open to anything, tiny films, smaller roles and bigger roles."

Michael Fassbender’s fishy Cannes Film Festival

Michael Fassbender was told he stank of fish by his 'Macbeth' co-star Marion Cotillard at the Cannes Film Festival.
During the Shakespeare film's premiere at the glitzy event earlier this year, the French beauty approached him about the fishy smell and advised him to get some chewing gum, which worried him as he was already chewing minty gum.
He recalled: "I was surprisingly relaxed (at Cannes), other than Marion telling me that I smelt of fish. I was sitting next to her, and she was like, 'Did you have fish for dinner?' I said, 'Yes,' and she was like, 'I just want to tell you because I'm your friend that maybe you should have some chewing gum.'
"And I was like, 'I'm eating chewing gum!' So then I had to (mimes breathing into hands) to see if I stank of fish! This was not how I imagined that moment to be."
Away from his dinner dilemmas, the hunky thespian has voiced his opinions on gender inequality in Hollywood and he thinks it's "ridiculous" as some of the best actors of the moment are women, and names his co-star Marion and Jennifer Lawrence as two notable names.
He told Stylist magazine: "I think it's wrong. Absolutely wrong ... It's ridiculous, isn't it? Some of the most exciting actors out there at the moment are female. Jennifer Lawrence, Mia Wasikowska, Alicia Vikander, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet ... It needs to happen, and it needs to happen faster."

Naomie Harris: You can be a Bond girl and a feminist

Naomie Harris thinks you can play a Bond girl and still be a feminist.
The 38-year-old actress will reprise her role as Eve Moneypenny in the forthcoming 007 blockbuster 'SPECTRE', and despite the sexism that has been prevalent in past Bond films she insists it's possible to be both a strong female and still be under in awe of the British super-spy.
Naomie also praised director Sam Mendes for encouraging females to be "multidimensional" in the new film and previous outing 'Skyfall'.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan magazine, she said: "I think you absolutely can (be a feminist Bond girl). Sam loves strong, multidimensional women; that's incredibly important to him. "
The 38-year-old beauty reckons the latest Bond girl, Lucia Sciarra played by Monica Bellucci, is a powerful woman who would rather get on without the help of 007 - played by Daniel Craig.
She said: "You can see that in 'SPECTRE' - Monica Bellucci's character is incredible feisty, and rejects Bond's help. She's like, 'I can do this on my own!' "
She also pointed out that it's not just a male figure driving the franchise, as producer Barbara Broccoli - the daughter of original Bond producer Albert Broccoli - has a big influence on the characters in the movies.
She added: "Barbara Broccoli is at the helm of the franchise too, and she's a strong woman who has a big say in how the characters are developed."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is protective of his son

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has admitted being in the public eye has it's "upsides and downsides".
One of the negative aspects being that the '500 Days of Summer' star and his wife Tasha McCauley - who have a one-month-old son together - want to make sure their little boy is protected from the limelight.
Speaking on America's 'Live with Kelly and Michael' show, he said: "Being in the public eye is a great thing. It allows me to do what I love to do, which is act in movies, but it's a choice that I made. I decided to have a career in show business, and so people know my name and know my face. And that has its upsides and honestly, some downsides."
The 34-year-old actor wants his child to have the chance to make up his own mind about appearing in the public.
He added: "My son, he's just a baby, you know? He hasn't made the choice to be in the public eye, and that's a choice that I would like him to be able to make when he's older, when he can think about these kinds of things and make that decision for himself.
"And so, for now, I'm just a protective dad, and I want to protect his privacy."

Ridley Scott: Ryan Gosling looks 27

Ridley Scott has praised Ryan Gosling for pulling off a younger look in 'Blade Runner 2'.
The 77-year-old executive producer was asked what time period the sequel to the 1982 original is going to be set in and gushed about how the Hollywood hunk, 34, looks like he's in his late 20's when he does "push-ups".
He said: "It was 2017, so coming back it'll be 2047, roughly. As young as you can play Ryan Gosling. He's 34, but he looks 27 when he's doing his push-ups. So maybe 2050."
Asked if the 'Place Beyond the Pines' star had been recruited so it was possible to make more movies for the franchise in the future, he told Yahoo Movies: "Listen: Everyone else is, so why not? I love to work. The French say, 'Work to live, and I live to work. I'm very lucky to have a job that I adore. Some of it's trying, but it's like being in professional sport. It's so competitive [that] you better keep bouncing the ball. You can't rest."
And on getting Ryan's co-star Harrison Ford back Ridley said it was down to the 'Indiana Jones' star being persuaded by the script, written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and he also revealed they'd been planning the second film for sometime.
He added: "I got Harrison back. Because Harrison said, 'Meh,' and I said, 'No, read this.' And I think he said, 'This is the best script I've ever had'. We've been working on it for a couple of years."

Enchanted sequel moving forward

The 'Enchanted' sequel will reportedly be called 'Disenchanted'.
Disney's follow-up to the 2007 movie starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey is believed to be moving forward with 'The Proposal' director Anne Fletcher helming the project, Collider reports.
It has not yet clear which cast members will return, although Amy - who led a star-studded ensemble of actors including James Marsden, Patrick Dempsey, and Susan Sarandon - has previously been less than enthusiastic about making a second movie.
The Oscar-winning actress, who played Gisele, a naive princess banished to modern-day New York by the evil Queen Narissa (Sarandon), admitted she thinks it is a perfect standalone movie.
She previously said: "It's a perfect standalone movie. It has a great beginning, a great middle, and a great end. I watched it recently, because I typically don't watch my work a lot, and I thought, I really like that movie. It was nice to revisit that work and have really positive feelings about it. But I think it works so well."
However, James Marsden, who played Prince Edward, has spoken of his desire for a sequel.
He said: "We all hoped it would happen.I don't understand why they never did it. It was a very successful movie...But at some point when the gray hairs start coming, you can't really play the quintessential animated prince anymore."

Jessica Chastain: Female action heroes are over-sexualised

Jessica Chastain thinks female action heroes are over-sexualised.
The 38-year-old actress - who previously revealed she declined the chance to appear in 'Iron Man 3' because the role was of a "boring civilian - has blasted the way some female characters are portrayed in action movies.
She said: "If you look at films like 'Elektra' and 'Aeonflux', the problem that studios have is that they try to make kickass women very sexualised. They have to be in some catsuit.
"But if you look at the most incredible female roles, like Ripley in Alien, she is a very sexy woman but she's not wearing a lot of make-up. She's in a T-shirt and jeans. What's sexy about her is how capable she is. Same with Jennifer Lawrence in 'Hunger Games' - she's not wearing a catsuit, either."
Jessica said movie studios have been guilty of mistakenly thinking they've been giving audiences what they want.
She told Radio Times: "Studios have misjudged it in the past, and thought audiences weren't interested in seeing a woman in an action role who's a capable, intelligent woman and isn't only leaning on her sex."

Helen Mirren retires from nude scenes

Dame Helen Mirren won't do anymore nude scenes.
The 70-year-old actress - who famously stripped for 'Calendar Girls' in 2003 - has said the only person who will get her to remove her clothes now is her director husband Taylor Hackford.
She said: "My pleasure pillows are purely for my husband.
"That's the good thing about getting older, you don't have to do that sort of thing any more."
The Oscar-winning actress wasn't keen on going nude to begin with, but when she first started acting, stripping wasn't considered a big deal.
In an interview with CBS, she questioned: "Does it really matter? It seemed to be not a thing to get your knickers in a twist over.
"I was doing nude scenes in the first moment I started doing movies. It was the era."
The 'Woman in Gold' star - who also bared-all in 1979's 'Caligula' - said sex scenes are everywhere now, even before the watershed on the small screen.
She added: "When I was doing 'Caligula', it was 'shock, horror!'
"But now, with 'Game of Thrones', it's on at 8pm and everything's a sex scene."
