Tom Hiddleston wants to play James Bond

Tom Hiddleston is up for playing James Bond.
The 'Thor' star's name has been mentioned as a possible successor to current 007 actor Daniel Craig and Hiddleston can imagine himself playing the "huge" part.
He said: "Well, I did hear recently that he is making another one. And I would never want to usurp or even attempt to usurp Daniel Craig's place in the James Bond pantheon. But, in an entirely hypothetical situation. Of course it would be ... that would be huge ... I think I would enjoy the experience."
Although he wants to play Bond, Hiddleston doesn't think it's likely he'll be approached to don the suave spy's famous tuxedo.
Speaking to the BBC, he added he was: "Enjoying the possibility as we discuss it ... It would be a huge compliment and huge fun. But, you know, it feels so unlikely and imaginary."
However, Hiddleston might get a chance sooner than he thinks as Craig thinks, at 47, he is getting too old to play the secret service agent.
Speaking about his exercise routine, Craig said previously: "My routine is nothing special - the usual exercising, working myself to death. No secret method involved, just sheer hard graft that I'm used to. It's getting harder I will admit but such is life."
Hiddleston will soon be seen on screens as country singer Hank Williams in biopic 'I Saw the Light' and he is preparing to film upcoming epic 'Kong: Skull Island' with 'Straight Outta Compton' star Corey Hawkins.

Benicio del Toro makes bold predication for Star Wars: Episode VIII

Benicio del Toro thinks 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' director Rian Johnson will "infuse the franchise with new steroids".
The 48-year-old actor has signed up to star in the sci-fi sequel which will be released sometime in 2017 and he thinks the decision made by Disney bosses to draft in 'Looper' filmmaker Rian Johnson to helm and write the script as well as a bunch of other "talented" production staff is a good one.
Asked what Rian brings to the franchise, he said: "I think a cool, sci-fi realism if I may say that, if that makes any sense. You know I love his film 'Looper' and his other work, and I just like talking to him about the film. He's one of those new talented people that 'Star Wars' is hiring, to like, infuse the franchise with new steroids."
The first new film in the franchise, 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens', is set for release this December and has been directed by sci-fi junkie J.J. Abrams.
Benicio - who stars opposite British beauty Emily Blunt in FBI crime thriller 'Sicario' - is thrilled to have joined the 'Star Wars' universe because the first film in the series, 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope', left a "mark" on him as a child and he still has the promotional cards of his favourite characters Han Solo and Chewbacca, stored away somewhere.
He told Empire magazine: "I grew up with lobby cards of Star Wars glued to my wall. Back when they had lobby cards. I still have the whole collection, I mean well I might have lost a few. But I liked Han Solo, Chewbacca, I liked them all. Especially that first 'Star Wars', then 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Return of The Jedi', those three were movies that I saw as a youngster and you know kind of marked me. Especially the first one."

Jake Gyllenhaal takes risk

Jake Gyllenhaal risked his life filming 'Everest'.
The 34-year-old actor stars as mountaineer Scott Fischer in the adventure drama and admits it was his most intense shoot yet.
He told ABC Radio: "We were in the elements all the time, and we were at risk all the time. [Director Baltasar Kormákur] gathered a whole group of people who were down to take risks all the time. He'd say, 'Go down there,' you know, and you'd be like, 'Can I get a rope?'"
Meanwhile, the 'Southpaw' star recently revealed he spent time in an altitude simulator to get into character alongside co-star Josh Brolin, who stars as climber Beck Weathers, and also admits there is a "tremendous responsibility" recreating a real story.
He shared: "Josh and I decided to stay longer. We thought we could handle it, and we were feeling good. We were laughing and talking about the fact that we didn't think it was so bad, and then, all of a sudden, we got out of the chamber and just felt sick. We realised the power of being so high up and what that does to your mind.
"There's a tremendous responsibility trying to re-create something which has happened."

Anne Hathaway: I’m not ‘defined’ by social media

Anne Hathaway doesn't want her life to be "defined" by social media.
The 'Devil Wears Prada' actress insists she isn't addicted to the likes of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram like most of her generation.
She shared: "I'm not as into it as a lot of other people - particularly other millennials. I'm not as into it, my life isn't as defined by it. But it's the world now so I want to be familiar."
And her 'The Intern' co-star Robert De Niro insists he doesn't want to use the social tools but praised technology for helping to make communication easier.
He added: "I'm not part of Facebook or Linkedin, or, er, Instagram - no.
"I don't tweet. I have an iPhone and a computer and all that stuff and I communicate that way, it's a great way to communicate."
Meanwhile, Anne also opened up about the comedy, directed by Nancy Myers, and praised the storyline for not "humiliating" any of the characters.
She told the Evening Standard: "What I was really into is that there wasn't any snark in the movie and it wasn't out to humiliate anyone. It wasn't saying, 'Oh you don't know anything about technology therefore you're silly.'
"It wasn't interested in making anyone look bad, it wasn't really interested in having a villain. It was more about nice people trying to do their best in a complicated world."

Ellen Page for Flatliners reboot?

Ellen Page is in talks to star in the reboot of 'Flatliners.' The 'Juno' star, 28, is being lined up to take on the lead role in the remake of the '90s original sci-fi film, which starred Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland and Kevin Bacon, following two...

Example ‘scared s***less’ starring in Between Two Worlds

Example was "scared s***less" acting in 'Between Two Worlds'.
The 'Kickstarts' hitmaker stars in the British rom-com, released later this month, alongside Lucien Laviscount and Chris Mason but admitted he was terrified to make his acting debut having spent so long making music.
He revealed: "It was scary. Every day on set was way more challenging than music in some ways. It's not frightening for me to go out on stage in front of loads of people at a festival, but the acting ... I was f***ing scared s***less."
However, the 33-year-old star - who has nine-month-old son Evander with his model wife Erin McNaught - said he was thrilled to get the part because he's always wanted to star in a movie.
He said: "I had been offered a couple of film roles over the last few years. I wanted to do acting before I even got into music. I liked the script and I knew the producer well and it was a real challenge. It was really low budget in the realm of film and it's not going to blow people away, but at the same time it's not crap which I'm quite happy about."
But in the end, Example - whose real name is Elliot Gleave - was proud with the result because although he made some errors, he was praised by his co-stars.
He told Digital Spy: "I made a lot of mistakes. I remembered the lines, but there was some over-acting, doing too much with my hands, and not really knowing where to look. I'm not a trained actor and I was put in right in the deep end. In the end I sort of did alright, and some people who've seen it have said, 'Fair play, you wasn't s**t'."

Jennifer Coolidge: Ditzy roles uncovered allergy

Jennifer Coolidge discovered she was allergic to glue by playing "ditzy" characters on the big screen.
The 54-year-old actress made a name for herself in Hollywood portraying blonde bimbos such as Stifler's Mom in the 'American Pie' films and Paulette, the manicurist, in 'Legally Blonde' but every time she put on fake nails and eye lashes she would break out in a rash and she was later diagnosed with an allergy to glue.
Speaking to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, she revealed: "I'm allergic to a certain kind of glue. Most eyelash glues are terrible, the glue in acrylic nails. I get a rash up my arm and face.
"I was playing all these trophy wives and ditzy blondes, and I would break out in these horrible rashes after eyelash extensions were applied. I had to go to the ER, so no more glue for me."
Jennifer's career has spanned three decades and although she can pick out several favourite parts she considers Stifler's Mom and her role as
Sherri Ann Cabot in dog competition mockumentary 'Best In Show' as her most important performances.
She explained: "The biggest reactions industry-wide was 'Best in Show'. It opened a lot of doors, as did playing Stifler's Mom in the 'American Pie' films. They helped my career and offered me opportunities.
'Best in Show' was such an insider-industry film, and I had the most control over the role that I've ever had. Christopher Guest gave us a lot of freedom and let us come up with our own stuff. 'Best in Show' legitimised me, and it was a great experience in Vancouver for six week with all those dogs!"

Lea Seydoux: I’m not a typical Bond girl

Lea Seydoux says her character in 'SPECTRE' is a "very different" type of Bond girl.
The French actress plays psychologist Dr. Madeleine Swann in the upcoming 007 movie and although she has nothing against the "cliché" Bond babes of the past she insists her casting and the role she plays prove the spy franchise has moved on.
Speaking in the new issue of Britain's Vogue magazine, she said: "I don't mind the cliché of the Bond girl. But Madeleine, she is very different. And to choose me as a Bond girl, it's a choice. A statement. I'm not the typical James Bond girl."
Although the Bond franchise is synonymous with the high-tech gadgets and weapon-filled cars supplied to 007 by Q, Seydoux is a total technophobe and can't even drive.
The 30-year-old screen beauty has confessed one of the best things about being an actress is that other people take care of these things for her.
She said: "I don't like modernity. I don't have television or the internet at home. The internet scares me. I can't drive a car. That is why I do this job. This is why I became an actress. So that people will take care of me. To be an actress is a refuge. You are taken everywhere, stay in wonderful hotels, everyone looks after you."
Seydoux stars in 'SPECTRE' with Daniel Craig - who is reprising his role as Bond for a fourth time - Monica Bellucci, Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes.

Michael Fassbender studied Ashton Kutcher for Steve Jobs

Michael Fassbender has joked he studied Ashton Kutcher to play Steve Jobs.
The 'Prometheus' star portrays the Apple co-founder in the upcoming biopic - which shares its name with the late American entrepreneur - and he cheekily has claimed he based his portrayal on Ashton's interpretation in 2013 film 'Jobs'.
Asked how he prepared for the project, Fassbender said with a grin: "I studied Ashton Kutcher."
The 38-year-old actor also admitted he tried to talk director Danny Boyle out of casting him in the lead role and told him that Christian Bale looked more like Jobs than him and would be better suited to the part.
Speaking at a press conference for 'Steve Jobs' at the New York Film Festival on Saturday (03.10.15), he said: "Obviously I don't look anything like Steve Jobs. That was the first thing I said to Danny. I said, 'Christian Bale looks a lot more like Steve Jobs than me.'
"He wasn't interested in that - he wanted to get the energy and essence of the man and go with that."
Despite playing the man who gave the world the iPod, iPad and iPhone, Fassbender has confessed he's not very good with technology and uses it "pretty poorly" on a day-to-day basis in his life.
He said: "I'm not very interested in technology. I use it pretty poorly. So everything was new to me, to be honest."
Fassbender stars in 'Steve Jobs' with Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen and Jeff Daniels and the movie is released across the US at the end of October.
