Mollie King pens song about David Gandy

Mollie King has written a song about David Gandy.
The 29-year-old singer has remained tight-lipped on her shock split from the handsome underwear model since they went their separate ways in January but she’s now decided to open up in her new forthcoming debut single ‘Back to You’ and found writing about their break-up cathartic.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "’Back To You’ is a very personal song to me.
"A lot of my writing inspiration has come from what I’ve been through over the last couple of years. The song is about a relationship that you know isn’t working but keep going back to them because you love them. It is about a relationship I had that was in the public eye, but I’ve said everything I want to say about it in the lyrics to the song. Writing the song was actually a cathartic experience, as it allowed me to say everything I was feeling at that time about the situation."
In ‘Back To You’, which will be released on Friday (19.08.16), she sings: "And I wonder what you’re thinking right now, cause I’m going through hell. And I wonder why we’re doing this now, I keep asking myself."
And, although her songs with her band The Saturdays proved to be pop hits, the blonde beauty decided to take a different approach when it came to her solo career.
She explained: "When I first started writing songs for my solo record, I was writing Saturdays style bangers, but one day in the studio I decided to write something that was personal to me and how I was really feeling."
Molly dated 36-year-old David on and off for for five years – during which time they also romanced other people – but things came to a permanent end earlier this year after a blazing row, believed to be over their future together.
