Miley Cyrus TV show gets title and air date

Miley Cyrus’ new TV show is called ‘Crisis in Six Scenes’.
The 23-year-old singer-and-actress is to appear in director Woody Allen’s first-ever TV series, and though details of the Amazon comedy have previously been kept under wraps, it has now emerged the six-part show will debut on September 30.
Amazon announced the news in a press release at their Television Critics Association press day on Sunday (07.08.16), but did not screen any clips from the 30-minute episodes.
There will be no second series of the programme.
Miley will star alongside the 80-year-old filmmaker himself and Elaine May, while Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro will both be recurring guests. As was previously announced, Michael Rapaport, Margaret Ladd, David Harbour, Joy Behar, Christine Ebersole, Becky Ann Baker, Lewis Black and Rebecca Schull will also appear.
The official synopsis for the show stated: "’Crisis in Six Scenes’ is a comedy that takes place in the 1960s during turbulent times in the United States when a middle class suburban family is visited by a guest who turns their household completely upside down."
The show is the first significant acting role for Miley – whose casting was announced in January – where she isn’t playing a version of herself since her appearance on ‘Two and a Half Men’ in 2012.
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker was spotted in a long blonde wig and hippy clothing shooting scenes with John in Sleepy Hollow, New York, in March.
According to an onlooker, in the scene, Miley was picking flowers near a sundial in the backyard of a house before John approached her and suggested they go on a walk through the woods.
