Miley Cyrus raising money for HIV charity

Miley Cyrus is releasing a MAC lipstick which will raise money for HIV sufferers.

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer has teamed up with the cosmetic company to bring out her own branded Viva Glam lipstick in early 2015 and the proceeds will go to the MAC AIDS Fund charity.

She announced the collaboration on her Twitter page, writing: "Going #VIVAGLAM with @MACcosmetics. Look for my lipstick in early 2015 … Every $ from the sales of my #VIVAGLAM will go to @MACAIDSFund to help those affected by HIV! (sic)"

The MAC AIDS Fund’s mission statement is "to serve people of all ages, races and sexes affected by HIV/AIDS. We fund bold, visionary and brave trailblazers determined to end the epidemic".

Miley’s charity work proves she’s more than just a "walking joke", as she recently referred to herself.

The 21-year-old pop star – famous for her wild on stage antics -said: "If I wasn’t here I’d like to be doing some sort of stand up comedy, so I think that this is my way of doing that. I am the joke. Look at me! I’m a walking joke … I just kind of grew up in the pop world, so fame and money, I kind of know what they give you, which isn’t a lot … even though people think it’s kind of everything.

"I just decided, about a year ago, that my whole life goal was just to be happy all the time."
