Miley Cyrus posts cryptic drawing

Miley Cyrus has hinted she is heart broken.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker – who split from fiance Liam Hemsworth a year ago – posted a picture of a crying alien surrounded by thought bubbles, entitled ‘early a.m. drawin’, on her Instagram account, and the surrounding text appeared to suggest she is mourning a lost love.

The thought bubbles make numerous references to a failed relationship, with messages like, "I must go. I will miss yiew (sic)" and "why does love make me cry".

The singer also asks, "Will I ever be happy again" and "Gravity has nothing to do with me falling for you".

Miley followed up the eye-catching images with another drawing of an alien, though this one made no references to love and is instead just seen blowing bubbles.

Earlier this month, Billy Ray Cyrus – Miley’s father – warned his daughter about becoming a "bitter ole man".

Miley posted a screen shot of a conversation she had with the 53-year-old country music singer.

The message from her father read: "You are crazy to be down. You are one of the luckiest people in the world right now. ENJOY IT!

"Don’t be like me and miss it all worrying about s**t beyond control ALL the time.

"That would make you a bitter ole man and that’s not cool" (sic)."
