Miley Cyrus hopes to resume tour on Friday

Miley Cyrus hopes to resume her ‘Bangerz’ world tour on Friday (18.04.14).

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker was forced to cancel two shows this week after being hospitalised upon suffering an "absolutely horrible reaction" to antibiotics on Tuesday (15.04.14), but is focused on getting better so she can complete the final six dates of the American leg of her tour.

A source told E! News that Miley was on medication to combat her flu virus and decided to seek medical attention as she felt "beyond woozy."

The insider dismissed speculation that she was "partying" too hard before getting sick, claiming the 21-year-old star had been alternating between performing and resting night after night.

Miley was "stronger and more energetic than she had in a while" before the allergic reaction.

The ‘Adore You’ singer is now "very focused" on getting better for her next show on Friday in her hometown Nashville, Tennessee.

Miley has yet to reschedule her cancelled shows in Kansas City and St. Louis, Missouri, but the tour source explained that the situation is "very complex," as many arenas are booked by other artists months in advance.

The young star admitted on Wednesday (16.04.14) that she is "miserable" in hospital.

She wrote on Twitter: "if any1 thinks id rather b layin n a hospital bed than doing what i love on stage theyre f**kin LAME. im miserable (sic)"
