Mikey North to do All Star Driving School

Mikey North has signed up to E4’s ‘All Star Driving School’.
The 31-year-old actor will take a month-long break from playing flame-haired hunk Gary Windass in ‘Coronation Street’ later this year in order to learn how to drive.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Mikey was dubious at first to sign up for any reality project but he was keen to give this one a go when he found out he could learn a new skill.
"He loved the experience and he’s already back filming the soap but is remaining extremely guarded about whether the process actually worked."
The reality TV show – which was launched last year – will see nine celebrity learner drivers attempt to ditch the L plates for good as they’re put through an intensive driving course, complete with various challenges, run by three qualified instructors.
But their lessons won’t just take place at the driving school as they’ll have to put in extra sessions after hours with the help of their friends and family.
And, hopefully, all of their hard work will have paid off as at the end of the 15-part series, the nine plucky stars will have to sit their practical driving test.
Mikey previously teased that he had a secret project coming up but refused to divulge the details at the time – although he did admit that he was slightly nervous.
He said: "I won’t say too much, I am doing something in June. I won’t say too much in case I’m not allowed to say what I’m doing but I am doing a bit of reality TV for the first time. Which I’m slightly apprehensive about doing."
‘All Star Driving School’ will return to screens in the autumn.
