Mike Hassini was found in possession of cocaine when he was arrested for drink-driving earlier this week.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was detained in the early hours of Monday (15.08.16) morning after he reportedly crashed his car on London’s Oxford Street while under the influence of alcohol.
But things have gone from bad to worse for the hunk as he has now been charged with possession of a Class A drug after the illegal substance was later found in his Mercedes.
A spokesperson for the police told The Sun newspaper: "Michael Hassini, was charged on Monday, August 15, with driving or being in charge of a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit. He was further charged with possession of cocaine."
The 21-year-old star has been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on September 12.
Police were called to popular road in the West End at 3:30am on August 15 after Mike allegedly ploughed his car into another vehicle, which was subsequently shunted into a bus, at a traffic light.
He was arrested and forced to spend the night in a cell after he blew over the national legal limit on the alcohol breath test.
It’s not known whether anyone was hurt in the alleged collision.
Meanwhile, Mike isn’t just facing a prison sentence, a hefty fine and a driving ban for his crime but he has also tarnished his career and has now been suspended from the reality TV show.
A spokesperson for ITV said recently: "In view of the charges brought against him, Mike Hassini has been suspended from ‘TOWIE’ until further notice."
Mike isn’t the first member of the cast to find themselves in hot water as James ‘Arg’ Argent was temporarily dropped from the show in 2014 when he tested positive for Class A drug use.
Mario Falcone was also suspended earlier that year when he was caught on camera appearing to snort cocaine.
And the cast’s crimes don’t just stop at drugs and alcohol as Dan Osborne – who has 18-month-old daughter Ella with Jacqueline Jossa – was also kicked off the show last year when footage emerged of him threatening his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, with whom he has son Teddy, two.
