Mike Colter is to become a father for the second time.
The ‘Luke Cage’ actor has confirmed his wife, Iva Colter – who he has three-year-old daughter Naiella with – is expecting their second child, and they are "happy" and "a bit nervous" about the impending arrival.
He said: "We are feeling happy but a bit nervous as well.
"It’s a new member of the family. While it will shift focus for us again, Niles will probably be affected the most, so we are making she sure feels comfortable and excited with the change."
Iva is six months pregnant with a daughter, and the couple – who tied the knot in 2016 – are "very excited" about having another baby girl.
Mike added to Us Weekly magazine: "We actually wanted another girl, so we are very excited."
Earlier this month, the ‘Girls Trip’ star called for people to splash out on presents for dads on Father’s Day.
He wrote on Twitter: "Not trying to start ISH on FATHER’S DAY but lets be real. For all the grief absent Fathers take for being MIA, lets celebrate the ones who show up just as loudly! Make jewelry sales go up like Mother’s Day! Get him that item that you think is stupid just cause! #HappyFathersDay (sic)"
Mike had plenty to celebrate last year, too, when he was nominated for the Best Hero accolade at the MTV Movie & TV Awards for his role in Netflix series ‘Luke Cage’, in which he portrays the titular Marvel Comics character.
But sadly, he lost out to ‘Hidden Figures’ star Taraji P. Henson in the category.
