Michelle Visage lands own chat show on BBC Three

Michelle Visage is set to present her own chat show ‘Get Off Your Ass’ on BBC Three.
The 51-year-old star – who is best known as a judge on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ and the US version – has landed her own motivational programme, with the title inspired by her signature catchphrase, and is "thrilled" to have landed the gig.
In a statement, she commented: "I am THRILLED to be bringing my kind of chat to a show on the amazing BBC Three in the country that literally owns my own heart!
"It’s 2020 and we can no longer sit back and complain, it’s time to stand up and GET OFF YOUR ASS with Michelle Visage!
"See you soon on the iPlayer nearest you *wink* (sic)"
The programme – produced by World of Wonder for BBC – will see viewers invited into Club Visage, where the host will share pearls of wisdom and give out her unique brand of advice with the help of ‘Drag Race UK’ star The Vivienne.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star will be joined by a celebrity who will uses their own experiences to offer advise to audience members, with one lucky crowd member earning themselves some Michelle Visage Treatment.
The Vivienne will then assist Michelle in setting the individual an immersive challenge to tackle their dilemma.
Fiona Campbell, Controller BBC Three, said: "We’re over the moon to be working with World of Wonder again for Michelle’s very first chat show.
"She is a huge talent, loved by the BBC Three audience, and this series will bring a brand new flavour to the existing mix of programmes available on BBC iPlayer."
World of Wonder co-founder Fenton Bailey added: "World of Wonder is excited to be expanding its UK operations for GET OFF YOUR ASS with Michelle Visage!
"We’ve worked with Michelle for many years and she is the living breathing embodiment of getting Off Your Arse.
